Are there any stations with announcements? Please come with your call sign.
I do have a couple of announcements here. First off, tomorrow is the deadline for the election of our Pacific Division Director. So for the ARRL members, if you haven't voted yet, you have until tomorrow. So please make sure that you get that done. Also, the year 2026 has been declared the Year of the Club and there's going to be a lot of club activities in focus and even some contest like things, or at least radio sports stuff going on for Year of the Club. And there's already a couple of competitions that are getting ready to start. Those are going to be a newsletter competition and a website competition. So if your club has what you feel is a very good newsletter and.
A very good website. Consider submitting your newsletter or website to ARRL Drop. Where you can find that information is on the ARRL website arrl.org year of the club now that's what dash is, so it's year dash of the dash club. And you'll find some links on the left hand side to submit for your newsletter. And they'll want some past copies of them just to be able to see what they look like. And also your website URL if you want to submit that one as well. So for the clubs, the deadline for those are going to be in January, so you're going to want to pull that information together and get those submissions done before January Drop. Then finally, on the Aries front, Aries teams make sure that you keep your batteries charged and your go bags ready to go.
But there is some fun to be had. The Sacramento County Aries team will be supporting the California International Marathon in early December. And I think there's a couple of other activities. If you are on an Aries team and you are supporting some events, make sure you let our section emergency coordinator, that's Michael Kilo, Kilo, Six Zulu, Golf, Bravo. Make sure you let him know so that we can help keep tabs and maybe get some pictures of you guys having fun at those events. All right. That's it for all the announcements I have. Are there any other stations wishing to check in or any other stations with traffic? Please come now KP4MD with an announcement. KP4MD, go right ahead. Okay. Thank you very much for those news items, Jay, but also a very important notice. Now, SIGOV.
Back open. The FCC online services have been restored, and for those of you who had to do renewal filings, all of those are now postponed. Deadline is now changed to March 5th of next year, so you have an extra amount of time to be able to do that even if your license expired. That's not a problem. You can continue and those renewals will be due then on March 5, 2026. Back to net control. Kpformd kp4md thank you very much. That's good news. I know renewals and just licenses in general, and I know the BEC team wanting to submit pass their test recently, so it's good to see that the paperwork is starting to flow. Again. Thank you very much. Are there any other stations wishing to check in, or are there any other announcements? Please come now.

Kk6bvb mobile we6a x n repeater. K6 5wh. Good morning. Good morning. Had to turn up the volume a bit. Good morning. How are you? Okay. How about yourself? Going to work? Four more months left. Well, I'm going a little to work a little early because I got the on call phone and I gotta call this morning. Well.
That's only about 10 minutes early, so I guess that's not too bad. It could have been 3:30 in the morning. You mean you're on call at 3:30 in the morning? I don't forget that I'm on call overnight for a week. Ouch. Had a job one time working at night. I hated it. Absolutely insane. You know, 3 o', clock, 4 o' clock in the morning, you start getting sleepy. Hello. Give me more coffee. Yeah, I had this one job where. Oh, it was. Yeah, it was a maintenance control. Basically you were sitting in a dark room with some plexiglass boards in front of you to write on, which.
Grease pencil. And I was working midshift, and I think it must have been Thanksgiving or one of the holidays. And I was, I think it was actually a 12 hour shift. So like five till five. And it got to where, you know, I thought, boy, this is really dragging. It must be really late. I thought it was 3 o', clock, 2 o', clock, 3 o' clock in the morning. I looked at the clock, it was 10. And I thought, oh, my goodness, this is going to be a tough night. Well, you know, I think it's like an unnatural part of living. I mean, we're intended, you know, get up and get out and get sunshine in the sand and run around, whatever. But working at night in the dark is crazy.
Yeah. You know, the, the on call phone goes around everybody in our department. So I only get it about every seven weeks or so. But I've decided I've only got it a couple more times before I retire. I've decided I'm just going to offer it to anybody that wants to make some money. Because with the all on call duty comes some extra pay. So I don't think I want it anymore. I'm just going to see if any of my co workers want an extra $300. You mean to say the money isn't really worth it? Get over there and have some supper. Not for the next three, four months it isn't. Yeah. You were in the military. There's a one fingered salute that everybody talked about.
About two days left in the Army. Yeah. I tell you, right before I was getting ready to retire. Must have been about a month or so before I was about ready to retire, and my chief comes up to me and looks at me and says, Sergeant McLean, it kind of looks like you need a haircut. Your hair's getting a little shaggy. I just looked at him, I said, yeah, I know, Chief. Yeah, I know. Goodbye. See you later. Hasta Louisa, baby. Yeah, exactly. I think he was a little disappointed, though. They didn't care a little bit more than that. But you know what? By that time, I was like, I'm finished. I've had enough of this, and I just don't care anymore. So you were in the Navy.
No, I was in the air force. What do they call AFOs? I'm not sure what that means. I don't think. I thought, ah, maybe you could have called it road at that point in time. Well, Army MOS, Air Force is AFOs. No, it's actually AFSC. Let me jot that down. Well, you know, recently I'm working on some pencil drawings. I'm trained as an art educator. Half track. You know of the M4 high speed track?
Pencil drawing, but I added little, you know, like, there's a skull here and there. One is. This is my sergeant coming to pick me up. But I'm concerned about desecration of the flag and that sort of thing. You see people wearing shirts of the flag, pair of pants, you know, no problem. I guess the. The desecration is when somebody takes the flag and stomps on it and burns it on the flag. Hey, you Americans die. Well, they're actually, you're not supposed to wear it either, but I'm not sure exactly what that means. An honest to goodness real flag. You're not supposed to wear it? No.
Not the flag pattern. Yeah, well, I think it's good to be aware. You know, people, soldiers, military personnel died for that flag, you know, and you're burning it up. Corn gas on it. I don't think so. Yeah, no, actually, this is not anywhere near that scale, but, you know, I was driving down the road one day, and he came to an intersection, and there was a couple of fire engines out there. They had this big flag hanging down over the intersection between them. They were doing a. What do you call it? Pass the boot or something like that. We were collecting money for something.
For some. Cause I don't remember. But I looked up at the flag, and something was really weird about it. And then it occurred to me, you know, when you. When you hang a flag up like, that, there's rules as to which side of the or which direction the field points to or is on. And they. They had it wrong. I think they had it. Yeah, I think they had it hung to where the field was. Was on the south side. And I know that that's wrong. It's either supposed to be east or north. And I was gonna send an email to the fire chief, but I thought, you know, 1750. Well, hey, maybe you should. You know, that stuff's important. Nobody upholds the rules, you know? I see. Oh, blue.
American flags or flags with a blue stripe, you know, and some. Someone somewhere is trying to add a meaning. I don't think that's appropriate either. And neither do I. Neither do I. But I'm now parked, and I need to get inside and get a monitor and buzz over and replace the dead monitor that they called about. So I will talk to you later. Have a great day. 73 KK6VZD, clear.

I'm trying to put together a CPR class, so if you might be available on that day. It's a Saturday. I'll have a list. List of my desk. Sounds good. It's gonna be in the cubicle, right? Yes. Good deal. Okay. Yeah, I'll definitely check it out. I should be available because my schedule's changing up, so.
Yep. We're just trying to. December is definitely out, but we're also trying to push it out to where everybody can plan around it. I think it's just a four hour class. Sounds good. What I'll do, you know what I'll do is I'll still attend it. However. Hold on a second. I gotta get off the side. Okay. Sorry about that. I had a fire apparatus coming up on me with lights going, but. Yeah, so I just did mine in August or. No, July, June or July. I did my cpr, so I'm up to date. But I'll still go to the class and I honestly, I want to worry about it then if you're.
If you're up to date, don't worry about it. Okay. Do you want me to send you over an email with my card in it? That way you have it on file? Yeah, that'd be great. Will do, sir. Yeah, I'll get that out to you either today or tomorrow. Right on. How's everything else going? All pretty good. I got promoted to motor pool supervisor, so. And this week, I. By Wednesday, I was already up to 46 hours for the week, so I've got the rest of this week off. All right. On sounds good? Yes, sir. I actually got some days to relax. What, are you turning your phone off? I'm just ignoring their calls.
There you go. I always say I do that, but I never do. Hey, what time are you gonna be done today? At some point, I want to give you a call on the. You know, on the phone. I got a couple questions for you. Go ahead and do it now. I'm good. I got five or ten minutes. All right. Okay. Once I get to the. The stables here, which is only about two minutes away from me, I'll give you a call real quick. The only reason why I wouldn't do it right now is my phone is buried in my pocket. Roger. I'll give you a 73 KK6 ISQ. Clear?
