Kk 1 bud n 60 online w e 6 a x n repeater kk 1 vd hey, Neil. Sir. Where you headed off to? Kind of. Why'd you see me? I'm headed down to my mother in law's Gonna go down there for dinner and get stuff ready for tomorrow for turkey day. Oh, there you go. Yeah, I just passed you at the intersection back there. I'm just coming going from the office over to Veterans Veterans hall, so got an event that I got to work over there. Oh, you work over there tonight? Yes, sir. 5:30 to midnight. Are you indoors, I hope. I'm hoping so. It gets kind of chilly out there tonight. Kind of chilly and wet. Yep.
Sounds like fun. Yes, sir. Yeah, I saw your truck go by. I was like, oh, that was fun. I gotta reach out. Yeah, I'm glad you did. I didn't know what you were up to these days. Just went to breakfast this morning with the crew. Yeah, I was going to try to make breakfast this morning, but that didn't happen. I'm going to have to drop to the side. Actually, I'll give you a seven for. I got a call coming in, so I'll talk to you later, bud. N60 MI73KK1BD clear.
Kk6vzd mobile. Vzd, KK1 bed. How you doing, Chris? Hey. Just getting off of work and got a nice long weekend coming up. Yeah, I was just on just a minute ago with N6CNY and I just got off and I told my wife, I said, you know, Chris will be getting out here in a minute or two. Here I am. And not a minute too late either. So we're on. We on a day countdown yet? Oh, yes, I am. I decided to make my last day of work 31st March, so my retirement begins on for full day. That's funny. Yeah, I kind of like it.
That's it's silly, but probably just a little bit of truth saying that that's one of the reasons that I chose it. Don't you have to work the whole month to get service credit for the whole month? Well, up to the 31st of March. That's the last day. Well, yeah. I was just thinking if you left earlier than that, though. Yeah. No, no, that makes a lot of sense. So how many days you got now? Like 126, But who's counting, right? Yep. Sounds pretty cool. So you headed home now and getting ready for Turkey Day tomorrow? Yeah. But the only person we're going to have joining us tomorrow is my daughter. So we're going to have we're going to have a thanks.
Thanksgiving chicken. Well, that's good that you get to have your daughter at home. So. Yeah, we're going to be out at mother in law's after. We're out on Oswald Road right now getting ready to go in for dinner with her tonight. So she's 97, so we try to make sure we get to spend all the holidays we can with her. And we got relatives here from Idaho and Texas, so we'll have a pretty good sized group tomorrow. Yeah. Sounds like. It. Sounds like it's really kind of weird. It's like our holidays are getting less and less. We have less and less people that we visit with on our holidays as opposed to more and more. You think with, you know, an expanding family, we'd have more, but know. Yeah. Like I say, we.
Probably something when she passes. We'll probably won't be as many of us get together after that, but since she's still around, we will. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I hope you guys have a good time. Dude. What have you got a feast planned? Are you doing much of the cooking? We split it up pretty good with all the relatives. We don't do too much. I think we're making pies and I'm not sure exactly what, but we're getting ready to go under your front door here in just a few minutes now, so see what's for dinner tonight. I better get off of here and let you go. And we'll say 7:3 and have a good holiday tomorrow. Are you going to make it to the Christmas party? No, not this year. Not with it being on a Tuesday night. I need to be with the choir.
Practicing. I I need as much practice as I can get, so I've decided to to do that instead of a Christmas party. Wish I didn't have to make that choice, but, you know, it's something that I had to do, so. Well, have a great evening and hope your Thanksgiving is is enjoyable. You have a good time with all your your visitors and we'll talk to you afterwards. 73 KK6VZD clear. Yeah, likewise, Chris. You take care. 73 KK1VUD clear. Kilo Oscar 6 Bravo, Gulf Jenkies monitoring. Doing Paul KN6 WNR. Happy Thanksgiving. I hope that you're at home. I'm driving the gym. But I was just at home. I'm not working today. That's the plus side. Right on. Right on. Yeah. That's awesome. Kind of a ghost town. I'm up here at the shopping center. I'm gonna go in there in a minute and get a couple things. Nothing we forgot. Just a couple things I wanted to get. So. Yeah, that's about it. Foggy over here. I can't believe it. The first time I've had a pace. Oh, sorry. An ht. I almost said a ht. Like the British. An hd fall in the water. It wasn't any of my doing, like.
Cat knocked it into the counter. I guess he didn't like it. It dried overnight and it worked best, I could tell. Well, if it fell in the water and you pulled it out quickly, it didn't really have enough time to saturate anyways, so it probably fine. Yeah, that's what I was thinking too because the battery compartment never fully came off. It's one of those ones where you have to push a button on the bottom and it kind of pops out. Well, it does kind of. That's what it does. Yeah. So I think I got to it in time and it. I mean not. It was one can't English. It's not a Bao thing but it's one of those Wong Cheng or Quan Cheng or something like that, so might as well be pretty close to that. One of those things. Tomato. Tomato. It's, you know, all the same. Made in the same factory kind of stuff. I guess you want to call it that.
Yeah, I know what you're talking about. Yeah, those are okay. To make you feel better, honestly, when I go hiking, I have dropped mine in the mud from time to time, and I once dropped one in the mud so hard, the battery actually popped out, and it was completely covered in mud. Just slapped battery back on. Turn it on. It was good to go. So these little Chinese wonders are actually a lot more durable than you're giving it credit for, so don't Worry about it. KN6W&R. Yeah, not a problem. That's what I was thinking as well, because, I mean, they are. I mean, there's. They're not indestructible, but they are definitely better than we think they are. And they. I mean, that just shows. I mean, the stuff has come a long way.
But anyway, I'm going to go ahead and head into the store here and maybe we'll hit you up here in a little bit. Ko6bgy. I'll be clearing your vital magic. Sounds good. Nice hearing you on the air again. KN6WNR. Clear. Well, I was going to get on and say Happy Thanksgiving, but lonely Thanksgiving to you, Pete, as well. I'm about to go hop inside Starbucks, so I'm going to be radio list for a little bit. KN6WNR. All right, I'll catch you later down the coax over.
