Speaker B: I'm doing fine. Just getting home. Coming into Ferry Road,

Speaker A: So how's Christmas and New Year's?
Speaker B: Oh, they were fine. Whole family went through whatever's going around this year, sickness wise. But we're all doing all right now.
Speaker A: I heard it takes you out for a couple weeks.
Speaker B: Yeah, none of us were like deathbed, couldn't get out of bed. But you know, it just felt like not great for you know, four or five days each.
Speaker A: That's good. The people that I was speaking to, it pretty much took them out for at least a good week and a half.
Speaker B: Two weeks. Yeah, we didn't get that particular strain but there's some interesting ones going around this year.
Speaker A: Oh yeah, no, same old stuff here. New Year's really isn't. Doesn't do much. We don't do much on New Year's. Christmas, you know, it's just the three of us now.
Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Everything slowly winds down as the kids get older.
Speaker A: Oh yeah. Well I get an experiment tonight.
Speaker B: What's happening now?
Speaker A: Oh, about a year ago I put an insert in our shower, one of those plastic ones. And I've had nestle of problems with using a silicone. You know the, the tubes for bathroom stuff, they keep on coming off every time we go to wash it.
Speaker B: Yeah. What are you gonna try now?
Speaker A: I try to glue it, glue it together, you know, behind, behind the scenes. And then I got that liquid flex stuff that thick enough I can paint it on with the paintbrush and I'm going to try that.
Speaker B: So you're just going to paint over the seams with that and hope it works?
Speaker A: Yeah, I've used this stuff out of the Rattle cannon. It works pretty good. So I'll see how this works out.
Speaker B: It's just that plastic insert, really shiny. I don't know if it. They always say you're supposed to rough it up for better adhesion with that stuff and I don't how well it'll stay stuck to, you know, shiny plastic.
Speaker A: Yeah, I know that and it's, it, it's a cheap insert to be honest with you, but the silicone just keeps on coming undone. Maybe I ought to put a little bit of sandpaper on it and see if I can rough it up a little.
Speaker B: Yeah, none of them are designed that great unless it's a one piece insert and then that's really pain in the butt to install.
Speaker A: Yeah. Yep. I just didn't want to do another tile job and everything, so I put the insert in.
Speaker B: Yeah, it's understandable. A lot of work, a lot of expense if you don't have the money for it right now.
Speaker A: Oh yeah. So besides that experiment. That's about it.
Speaker B: Yeah. I just been slowly doing the steps of getting ready to reload some more. So I cleaned everything and sorted everything. Now I got to get ready to lube and start, you know, popping the primers and resizing everything.
Speaker A: Yep. I'm waiting for March to or so for the gun shows to get some brass.
Speaker B: Just wait for a specific kind or just wait for a good deal.
Speaker A: Good deal for 270 and 7 mil remag we 6 a x n receiver.
Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, that's best. KK6SY for ID. If you're not in a hurry, just wait for a good deal to buy it.
Speaker A: Yeah, because if you buy the, the brass new, it's, it's quite pricey.
Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, they're, they're trying to price us out of everything, especially here in California.
Speaker A: Yeah, that and I hear Tesla's gonna be having their cell phone release on sometime in March and, and I'm going to get in on that. Yep, sounds like a pretty good idea.
Speaker B: Yeah, they're, they just announced they're putting in their lower satellite, not as high but better coverage. There's more of them for better coverage.
Speaker A: Yeah, I mean between it sounds like, like 160 to 250 for a, for a phone and the service comes with the phone or you're paying like 10 bucks or so for the, for the service a month. So. Yeah, I'll try that out. I'll be a guinea pig.
Speaker B: Yeah, I hadn't really heard about that. I mean I heard saw thing that they were thinking about it, but I

Speaker B: to be your availability and all that yet. Yeah, we went that route and we got Starlink at the ranch. Got great throughput up, you know, up and down for our cameras and everything else.
Speaker A: Yeah, I'm gonna wait for the, for the Starlink to come down a little bit and then I'll, I'll pick one up. But yeah, the cell phone sound sounds like a pretty good deal and try it out, see how it goes. The only bad thing is I guess they're only going to tell them that Tesla cell phone stores and their dealership.
Speaker B: Well, that's not a bad thing. I mean if they're keeping their cost down and your cost of buying the up. Only takes a little while to drive down to Rockland or whatever and go to Tesla store.

Speaker A: Well, yeah, it starts out pretty good, but then the more you talk. I don't know if I'm doing this justice or not, but the more you talk, the more you. You get further away. Is that kind of doing it? And then coming up close.
Speaker B: Yeah, that. That sounds probably like what you're trying to describe. Wondering if it might be because my truck's not running.

Speaker B: Yeah, I think that's what it is because I know When I was sitting over there and I first turned it on when I would key up without the truck on, it would like, die.

Speaker B: It would like. It would just shut off. So I'm thinking that may have been
Speaker A: the connection to the battery, The. The radio itself.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: Well, yeah, maybe it. Maybe it's a bad connection, huh?
Speaker B: Yeah, I haven't used this thing a while. I hardly ever drive this truck, so. And I did have to replace the battery and not too long ago, so maybe a. I didn't. Didn't make a good connection to the radio.
Speaker A: Okay, so you're direct to the battery, huh?
Speaker B: Yep, I am.
Speaker A: What kind of connection do you have to it?
Speaker B: It's just wired straight in and I got a ground wire going to the body and hot wire to the battery.
Speaker A: Well, that's the proper way to do it, for sure. Sounds right. Well, let's see. Well, we're just gonna have to get it in a little more use. Instead of driving the other. The other new pickup, drive the old one for a while.
Speaker B: Yeah, well, maybe I have to move this radio over to my new one,

Speaker B: Yeah, I think I've got a. That old one in the closet.

Speaker B: Yeah, that's why I had to drive this truck around so I can take that battery charged up. Had to use the jumper to get it started.
