Speaker B: Same to you. How you doing
Speaker A: with 53 working days till retirement? I'm doing great.
Speaker B: Oh, that's awesome. We have a club meeting next Tuesday, right?
Speaker A: Let's see. What date would that be?
Speaker B: I have no idea, but I believe it's going to be. I believe it's going to be the third week in January.
Speaker A: You could be right. You could be right. Let's see. Because the first was on. Well, actually, the first was on a Thursday, right?
Speaker B: Yes.
Speaker A: So believe it or not, let's see, today's the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12, 13. No, that would only be the second Tuesday in January. Okay.
Speaker B: I just want to make sure I. Make sure I'm there so I can. I can pay my dues.
Speaker A: I haven't looked at the website, but apparently Paul has done something, had added something to the website. You can pay by PayPal by saying, I better. Look, I've already paid, but, you know, be nice to know so that you could tell people. Yeah. So how was Christmas? It was Christmas.
Speaker C: WA7R&R.
Speaker A: Go ahead. Was that correct? Could you give us your whole call?
Speaker C: Done. WA7R&R real quick? Yes, you can pay on the website via PayPal for your membership dues to the. To the club. That's how I did mine. Just say FYI, I'll let you guys get back to it. WA7RR
Speaker A: well, thanks for that info. And you know what, before you go, I need your name. My name is Chris from Yuba City because I don't think we've met yet.
Speaker C: Nope, we have not. I'm David here at Oroville. So another David. So that's my name. And good to talk to you. I have the radio on all the time, but I don't always talk on it. Of course. But since you were talking about paying your dues and different things. Yes, you can do that on the website via PayPal. That's how I signed up and paid mine. So I just wanted to let you know.
Speaker A: All right, well, that's very helpful information. We appreciate it.
Speaker B: Thank you much for the info.
Speaker C: Guys are welcome. Have a good day. I'll get out of here and let you guys get back to it.
Speaker B: WA7RR W E6A X N repeater. Because myself, Colleen and her mom and. And we enjoyed it, you know.
Speaker A: Okay, that's good. You know, ours wasn't terribly big, but then again, you know, with what's happened over the past couple of years, I don't expect it to be big anymore, but you know, I got to spend some nice time with the grandson and that was, that was my Christmas present as far as I am concerned. At least that's what meant the most to me out of it. Well, that's good.
Speaker B: Yeah, I, we did FaceTime with, with the kids and I don't know if I told you or not, but I'll be assumed to be a grandfather.
Speaker A: Hey, congratulations. That's great. Yeah, I mean, I haven't gone overboard with, you know, I'm a grandfather, but it is a nice feeling and you know, it's, it's, it's nice to go interact with the boy when, when we have some time.
Speaker B: Oh, yeah, well, it's gonna be a boy. They already, they already determined that and, and it's. He's due. I think it's May or June.
Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. All right, that's. Well, so you got a little ways to wait, but yeah, that's really fun. I gotta tell you. You know, some of the, you know, initially it's like it's a baby and they're cute and they're precious and all that. But one of the real things that I appreciated was when he first looked over at me, saw me, and a big grin came on his face. I'm like, oh my goodness.
Speaker B: Oh, yeah, definitely. And a couple of our friends, I didn't, Colleen and I didn't realize it was, that it was a thing to figure out what your grandparents name is.
Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Okay. Well, you know, actually before, before James was born, they, they kind of asked, they said they asked I go back into our family name and kind of give them some of the names. So they actually took one of the, the McLean family names. Not from my immediate family, but James is a fairly common name to be named if you're a McLean in our line. And then they took her middle name and they tweaked it just a bit because her, her middle name is Aline. They tweaked it to be Alan. So there's, you know, there's heritage there in both names for him.
Speaker B: Oh, yeah. So are you Irish or Scottish?
Speaker A: Scottish, my good man.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: And I actually over the past few years have gotten interested in Ancestry.com and I've been able to, to follow us back to the island in Scotland that we're from.
Speaker B: Oh, that is awesome. Yeah, we've done the ancestry and I'm 80% Scottish and I am here and my wife's waiting outside, so I better give you a 73.
Speaker A: All right, Mike, well, have a great evening. And we'll talk to you later. And we'll see you not next time Tuesday, but the following Tuesday, I hope, at the club meeting.
Speaker B: Take care. 73JK6VZD clear.
