Speaker A: Kk6vzb mobile wv6axm receiver. Kk66bty Happy Wednesday, Chris. Turned out to be a nice day today once the fog cleared out. For the most part, blue skies, very little clouds to speak of, and temperatures were quite pleasant without as much wind as we've had.
Speaker B: Yeah, and one of these days I'll be able to enjoy things like that in the middle of the day.
Speaker A: Yeah, you're far. I mean, you're the subject matter expert. You've got it down on the. But that'll be nice. I know it's kind of weird. I mean, not that I haven't been at this age, but it's like he's driving around and you're like, why, why aren't those kids in school? And you're like, oh, wait, not everyone's home. Or some people are homeschooled whatnot. But yeah, it was a beautiful day.
Speaker B: I tell you what, I'm starting to feel less and less useful. I. I don't think I anything today that contributed to reducing the workload.
Speaker A: Sorry. I drank liquid rum. Yes, that. That's probably going to be coming up more and more often. You'll probably feel that way. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I mean, that's better than having too much to do. But I know you still want to be a willing.
Speaker B: Well, yeah, I kind of almost. I'd like to be able to do things and get stuff done right up until the end, but, you know, it's like, almost like they don't want me to do anything for some odd.
Speaker A: Is that one of those things where you guys are set up to where you have to wait for the work to be assigned to you, I assume?
Speaker B: Yes, that's correct. Now I can go in and take a look and see what's out there and I might offer to take some of it over from somebody if they want me to, but. Yeah, but it doesn't seem like there's an awful lot of work coming in the past couple of days. And from what I could see, nothing that I could deal with either. So, you know, so, you know, I'm almost kind of getting to where I feel like not even trying.
Speaker A: Yeah, it's unfortunate that it comes to that. It's almost like it's like built in, like, okay, you're leaving. I kind of felt that way a little bit when I crossed this. The military as well. Even though the reserve and not active duty, it's just like, okay, yeah, go put your stuff in the corner over there. Like, where the extra. Where's your morale? Where's your boots? Where's your confidence? Where's your. But, hey, it is a nice sport runner. I don't like the way they did the tail. Body looks good.
Speaker B: Well, I was telling a couple people today, it feels like I've been marginalized. Like. Yeah, no, it's almost like they don't want me to do anything.
Speaker A: Come out or come out outright and tell you that, because then this, that, and the other. And I'm gonna break for one second. And I got a slight update on my situation. Okay, nutshell, my HR department doesn't like the fact that my doctor's note from last month says what it says. And they're like, we need. We need a detailed. Because eventually, long story short, I have gout. They want me at the office whenever. And I understand that, but when I. My doctor's saying, when he has a gout flare up, he needs to stay home because he's a walking liability. He's gonna trip and fall and he's gonna have to sue you guys because you knew about it.
Speaker B: And.
Speaker A: Well, I went to the doctor today because HR sent over a 15 or. Yeah. An 11 to 15 page document. Can you do this? Can you do this? Can you do this? And the doctor's like, these are really borderline questionable questions. He's like, refuse to answer. Refuse to answer. And then claim that gout is lifelong. Intermittently.
Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. Sounds like they. They are kind of convinced that you're trying to game their system.
Speaker A: Yeah, that's what they're. That's what they're trying. And the doctor's like, no, because what it was. Is I would work. Usually, for example, if I had a gout flare up, it would clear up and I would go into work on, say, like, over Wednesday. That work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. But then being that I didn't fully rest up, the cycle just repeated and repeated and repeated. It's like, there's nothing. I. I like to walk, you know?
Speaker B: Yeah. Okay. What would they give you if they, you know, offered medical retirement?
Speaker A: That's a good question. I have never even thought of that. I. Because the thing is, is that the. The leave is becoming less frequent and less frequent because the cold weather is starting to. A little bit. And if I'm at work, I'm fine. It's when I'm not able to get into work. So that's where HR is. Like, well, if he comes into work, can he work? It's like, no. Okay, well, what can we do? I don't know, but I don't want
Speaker B: to fall at work.
Speaker A: I've already had a tree fall on me. Not the best luck here, you know.
Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well, it's like. Well, it sounds like they've definitely got their eyes on you.
Speaker A: Yeah. And I'm. I got nothing to hide. I'm an open book. What them looks pretty. What they're going to want to look for. The union attorneys are already involved because at this point it's borderline harassment. Plus they. It's also related to them randomly sending me back in November for a drug test to make sure I'm okay. They didn't give any other reasons. Just want to make sure you're okay. Like come just talk to me. But it's local government policy. It is what it is. I probably somebody's Cheerios. They didn't like it.
Speaker B: Yeah, well, I didn't really follow through with it, but, you know, I did get to the point where I went and talked, at least went and talked to my union rep and felt a lot better that he was there.
Speaker A: Yeah, no, I can definitely attest to that. I mean having the union rep and the union attorney involved and plus the doctor's note saying like, hey, because I bet they're basically painting me to be one of those brown toss, not brown. Basically being a piece of. Sorry for cursing on the radio, whatever, but I'm not. But so now I'm having to unpaint what they're painting out here and it's like, come on, dude, I'm younger than you are. I got more time. I can go.
Speaker B: Yeah, well, let's hope they, you know, with what you've got going on that
Speaker A: they kind of back off on that. Yeah, that's all I want. I. I want my health. I mean the stress isn't helping the back either, but I mean, I, I mean, I think I'm doing pretty good.
Speaker B: A little over a year.
Speaker A: I've went from 248 pounds down to 175. 180 fluctuating and the joint hurt. Well, you find the wood a lot less. But anyway, I digress.
Speaker B: Oh, that's some progress. Anyway. Okay, well, I just pulled into my driveway and I, I know I got stuff that I got to do tonight, so I better go check the mail, get inside, eat and get to whatever it is I need to do. So I will talk to you later. Have a great evening. KK6BZD clear.
Speaker A: All right, Chris, have yourself a good evening. Thanks for letting me rant and whoever else happened to catch that anomaly? 80 way 73K06BGY. I'll be clear from 73. W e6a x n receiver.

Speaker B: repeater afternoon out there. This is kk6isq mobile.
Speaker C: Kk6isq, ko6bgy. How you doing out there today? It's nice. Blue skies over here in Calusa. I don't see any clouds. Temperatures are comfortable. It's a little warm in the car because I don't have the AC on or anything, but it's not too bad over here.
Speaker A: Yeah, same here. We lost fog about, I don't know, 10:30, 11:00 over here.
Speaker C: Yeah, it's about that same time frame here. Maybe a little bit later. I don't know, it seems like it just wouldn't leave. But yeah, I'm just sitting in the car, had lunch and I'm not ready to go back into the office yet, not for another 10 minutes left here. So we'll see what's going on.
Speaker A: Oh wow, that's. That's good news, I guess. Yeah, I'm just heading from my mother in law's to the office and see what my wife has in store for me. Hopefully
Speaker C: it's
Speaker A: food
Speaker C: or something good, not extra paperwork. That's never fun.
Speaker A: Oh, it's probably some errands I need to run for the office. Deposits and all that good stuff.
Speaker C: What's funny is when I worked a blockbuster here in Calusa all those years ago, the boss was like, why don't you take the same route? Because I would do the deposit. He's like, well, sometimes it takes you an extra five minutes, sometimes you're early. I was like, you don't want to take the same route twice usually. I mean, it's a small town especially and this ain't my money, they can have it. But I mean, I'm going to try to avoid that at all costs.
Speaker A: Yeah, definitely. I don't worry about it too much. I mean, honestly, I go to different things all the time so I'm not too worried about it.
Speaker C: Hey, there you go. There you go. But yeah, I don't know. Just ready for the weekend. It's been a long work week already. I had some training for the pressure on one aspect of my job, billing for the state. So that's always fun. You have to use the right vernaculars and verbiage and all that. But
Speaker A: anyway,
Speaker C: I'm going to go ahead and sign clear on your final. I'm going to get out, stretch my legs before I go back into the office. KK6ISQ KO6BGY73
