Ko0x let's go right ahead with your question. Is there to anyone's knowledge an easy way to buy a simple replacement little D knob that came with a mobile radio but I guess I knocked it off when I was moving stuff around one day. Radio works fine without it but I just like to buy a D knob and manufacturer hasn't responded for a few weeks so I'm the bellfare goodness. You know I in days past I would have told you to go check Radio Shack but there aren't that many rounds left anymore. Does anyone out there know a source or knobs that Justin might check so he can replace the one that's missing off of his rig? I almost told you that. It's too bad joe and 9bd isn't on because I think that he's probably got a fair amount of that stuff sitting around from no different sources. A D knob. About how large diameter wise would that need to be, Justin? I'm going to say maybe about 6 inch or 6 millimeters goes to a little radiodity GMRS radio forgot the exact model number but it's not real big. The radio itself tiny too so I'd say maybe 6 millimeters. That's just a guess. Unfortunately I can't give you a good source right off the top of my head I do know it's kind of weird that there are sometimes I I think it's Lowe's has got a fairly good hardware section you can find sometimes find knobs like that there. You know who knows that And I know the Ace Hardware in in Marysville, the Union Lumber they have a pretty extensive department for hardware. I'm not so sure about knobs but it might be a place to check if you know you're ever close by there and have some time to check it out. Have you checked Jameco by any chance? Okay, once I get back in the house I'll even take a look at that Jameco. Thank you. Jameco Electronics, they have some brick and mortar stores. I think they have one down in the Bay Area but they also have an extensive extensive offering online also and I'm probably going to say that's probably your best bet. Give it a. I'll take a look for it to help a minute. Thank you. I'm a hope I hope you find what you're looking for. Does anyone else need any assistance from him Help. Sounded like Wes. Was that you Wes, I appreciate the compliment. Notes to steve.k6ijd. I would be delighted to give my phone number and the gentleman calling in can take a picture and text it to me. And that would answer a whole lot of my questions. Are you still there? You want to jot down Steve's phone number? This is K0X. You want me to do that? You guys are talking to me, right? Yeah, I just wanted to give you my phone number. Are you ready? Again. Again. Okay. Steve. 530-701-6625. I feel like I am the patron saint of lost causes in the tech world. Okay, well, if you think you can help me with that simple little knob. Alrighty, I'll send a photo. Ko0x. Thank you, steve. Any. Any other ham help requests? This is net control kk6zzd with a last call for late check ins. Please come now. Are there any other questions or comments before I close the net? You would be interested in becoming a Net Control operator for this net? I would be interested in hearing from you. Please contact Chris kk6vzdrl.net or contact any Yuba Sutter Amateur Radio Club Officer or board member at board ysarc email address@boardsarc.net a master copy of the Net Control Station Guide is posted on the club's website located at www.yubasutterarc.org. that's www.yuba sutterarc.org. this net is held every Monday at 19:00 hours local time on the WD6AXN repeater. Speaker B: Hey, Buck. Sounding good. W6P and H.
Speaker A: Well, thank you, Paul. Yeah, I just put the FTM3100 in my truck as a backup radio. But, hey, welcome back to the area. How's Sports Fest?
Speaker B: I had a real nice time. Temperature was in the 70 degree range and some of the days there really wasn't much wind at all and the wind never got real bad, so it was a nice time.
Speaker A: Good deal. Glad to hear that, man. Yeah, when I saw you were down there, I was like, aw,
Speaker B: lucky.
Speaker A: I've been wanting to go to Quartz Fest.
Speaker B: Yeah, well, if you get a chance, I'll meet up with you and show you around. But it is a lot of fun. You know, there were some. Dave Kastler was there, you know, the Ask Dave column and YouTuber and Gordon west was there talking about different things. And yeah, I had a good time, you know, nothing that I really had to get done, but just seeing a lot of interesting things going on.
Speaker A: Oh, good deal. Yeah, I know there's a Quite a few YouTubers that were down there. I know Hash Nassi was there and I can't remember his name, but ham radio 2.0 was there this year, too.
Speaker B: Oh, I didn't see him, but yeah, I wish I would have. That would be fun.
Speaker A: Yes, sir. Yes, sir, but, but. All right, well, yeah, I just wanted to test out the radio, make sure this one was actually working. So I put this in here as a backup. That way if I have issues with my power with my other radio or the antenna coming disconnected, I've always got a backup now.
Speaker B: Well, that's a good plan. Yeah, you can't have too many radios available, so that's good. But now you're sounding great. That 3100 is doing the job. I've got that kit from Robert for another go box that I've been doing a little bit of thinking about and I might get busy and get that thing put together, but I'll let you go for now. I'll say 73W6P&H. Talk to you later.
Speaker A: Sounds good, Paul. And take advantage of this good weather while we have it. It's going to start raining this evening, so 73 N60NY mobile monitor.
