WD6AXM TX (146.085 MHz) recordings for 2026-03-01
Speaker A: Good morning. This is KB1 NDE. I was wondering if anybody was listening to
Speaker B: get a radio check on this radio. You're loud and clear as far as I can tell. Kn6gtn, kn6ttn.
Speaker A: This is kb1 nde. Thank you. I bought this on ebay. It's a little handheld vertex vxa 700 radio. And it was listed as part.
Speaker C: So I'm
Speaker A: very
Speaker C: happy. Yeah, looks like it'll make a good tool for you. Sounds good in the repeater. Kn6gtn, tcn,
Speaker A: kv190e. Thank you. And one thing about this radio. If I get one more antenna, I can actually use it for my aero squadron. I can talk to the planes with it. Have
Speaker B: a rear radio.
Speaker C: Yeah, that's a neat feature. I mean, they do make a couple of those. And they're really nice to have. It's always nice when they. You can have two radios in one or sometimes even three bands. So, yeah, that should work good for you. Thank
Speaker A: you. And enjoy the little quick talk, and we'll catch you later. KB1 NDE,
Speaker C: you have a good day at 73 KN6 GTM.

Speaker A: Kn6wnr.ko6bty.kn6wnr.k06bby. You out there, Matthew? Hey, paul.
Speaker B: N6iwh, jp, ko6dty. I'm just waiting to go in before. What do you have to. You have a good signal now?
Speaker C: Well, I've got one radio that works good on 2 meters and CB. And then I've got another radio that's good on VHF, UHF. You know how it is. Anyway, I want to send you something in the mail. One of my little drawings. Is this okay or what?
Speaker B: Yeah, that's fine. You should be able to find my physical address on the database there.
Speaker C: Yeah. Qrz. Yeah, it's like those little things I work on. I want to maybe get your feedback, see what you think. Something like that. But other than that. Man, I got a headache right now. One of my best guitars, the Switch, the number one pickup and the number three pickup have gone dead. And I'm over here trying to find a short or a bad wire, but it might be the switch.
Speaker B: Well, hopefully you get that coordinated here before it's too long.
Speaker C: Yeah. How can you sing the blues when you don't have a guitar? My favorite song right now is Everybody's Telling Me how to Live.
Speaker B: Yeah, I don't listen to anybody else, but. Hey, Pete, I'm gonna run into Dollar General here real quick and get some soda pop. So I'll hear I'll be clearing the title.
Speaker C: Okay. Well, I'm just pulling my hair out here at the table. N6IWh. I have some hair, so it's
Speaker A: all
Speaker B: right.
We6a x n repeater.
Speaker A: W.w. r monitoring we6a x n repeater.
Speaker B: Hey hey, hey. Yeah, my new new call sign. Hey hey.
Speaker A: Hey. How you doing? I'm just driving. Gonna drop off some wood that's in the back of my truck over to a friend of mine's place and that's about all I'm doing today.
Speaker B: Oh, wood. That's something I had to learn about. What kind of wood is it?
Speaker A: Plywood.
Speaker B: Oh, I thought you meant firewood. Oh yeah. Well thanks for asking. I'm having trouble with my guitar. My player guitar that I have here. It's an Ibanez wiring. Something happened. The front pickup and the bridge pickup are dead. But the middle pickup works fine. The switch checks out, the connectors are all fine. It's like this.
Speaker A: Could very well be some sort of cold solder joint. What it sounds like.
Speaker B: Yeah, well, speaking of which, I'm not able to solder the way I used to. It's kind of like a screw, Jill.
Speaker A: You know,
Speaker B: I can't see very well. Hey, you're talking like this
Speaker A: sounds to me like it just seems to get a resolder job and it's fine. That's just from way the way you're describing it. As far as I'm aware of, that's what it sounds like to me.
Speaker B: Yeah, well you know on Amazon you can buy pick up some stuff that actually work pretty well from China. You know, they're like fairly cheap, $10, single coil, humbucker, whatever you want, split coil, da da da da da da. And they also sell wiring harnesses especially for the strap, you know, pre wired, any configuration that you want.
Speaker A: Yeah, I've seen those before and they're not that expensive either for in the grand scheme of things. I remember you used to see those in like magazines where you would like send in like a something in the mail saying that you want to order that. Trying to think of the mail order. That's right.
Speaker B: Well, do you play? And it's not like you know, you're virtuoso but you can make decisions about music and stuff
Speaker A: somewhat. I haven't played since I was like 18 and I'm 30 now, so it's been 12 years since I had my own. I've played other people but I haven't owned one in 12 years. I have just now destinated and I had the pull the wood out. I'm be doing it along with him right now. So I'm going to say quick. 73 KN6WNR. Nice talking to you Pete. 73.
Speaker B: Okay, 73 from N6I WH. I've been solder. I'm inhaling solder fumes here. You know what that means? Ding dongs. Hello. Ding dong. M6IWH. Hello. Ding dong solder.
