Ko6mv mike victor zulu w6bnh.

Okay? Yeah, I could hear you. Well, you're coming in very soft, so it'd be hard to understand, but you are making the repeater, so that's a good sign. You've got your radio programmed, right? W6T and H?

Yeah. W, 6P and H. You're making the repeater and it is still pretty quiet, so try just as close and a little bit louder. Let's just see if that helps.

Good afternoon out there. This is kk6, isq mobile.

Speaker A: Kk6 is q.k6ikv.
Speaker B: This is KK6ISQ.
Speaker A: Did you hear me a few minutes ago or did I not even make it to the repeater?
Speaker B: I heard the repeater open up, but I didn't hear anything.
Speaker A: I just realized as I called you with the antenna on without going through the swr that it was not giving me any kind of an indication of a beat on that, so. Oh, boy. I guess I got bigger trouble.
Speaker B: You want to try it real quick?
Speaker A: Yeah, because it's not even hitting the repeater. So I just realized, oh, that's just a waste of effort, but. Hey, how you doing?
Speaker B: Oh, not bad. Been spraying all day. Heading to the office. Get. Get work done it there.
Speaker A: Oh, yeah, all that kind of fun stuff. Anyway, trying to get ready for the meeting tonight. I guess I got some more research to do. But, hey, that's what it's all about, right?
Speaker B: Yep. Plans, radio. Wait.
Speaker A: Okay. IJD and I am clear. Thank you.
Speaker B: 73, KK6ISQ monitoring.

Speaker A: We6axm repeater.
Speaker B: Hello, phil. Ki6hk. Chuck.
Speaker A: Good afternoon.
Speaker B: How you doing?
Speaker A: Over.
Speaker B: Fine, Phil. Are you still living there in Browns Valley?
Speaker A: Same location 7.5 miles from the gas station. 2.5 miles from Collins Lake. Over.
Speaker B: That's a beautiful spot. I remember it from when I was a kid. Teegarden used to own a place there on the other side of the road from you, I think.
Speaker A: Well, I still got Palomite Ranch. That was where Trigger came from for Roy Rogers. They're still there. Palomaine Ranch. And I got Kane Stake. The mountain still there. I got the irrigation disc. United property for bvid. But it's all the same population, never changed. Still got one gas station and one post office. Over.
Speaker B: Yeah, I was fishing in that creek there not far from you, Phil, when I was like six, seven years old.
Speaker A: Okay.
Speaker B: I'm surprised you didn't go to Timbuktu
Speaker A: on the other side. Over.
Speaker B: Yeah, that's for sure.
Speaker A: Oh, how's. What's his name? Colonel Maloney, I think. Is he still alive? Over.
Speaker B: The last I heard, Phil.
Speaker A: Well, that's good. He should be in his 90s by now. Over. 6 HK King 6 Whiskey. Whiskey. London mobile for station ID.
Speaker B: Back to you, Chuck.
Speaker A: Overt.
Speaker B: Yeah, you live far enough out of Browns Valley where you don't have to worry about those underground gold mine shafts that it honeycomb that whole area.
Speaker A: There's some property not too far from the post office. It's three dwellings or 700,000. But the water's contaminated with mercury. Over.
Speaker B: Yeah, that's probably from the gold mining days. I can remember back in the 40s when we drive through Browns Valley on the way to Marysville from up in the mountains. And that gold mine was still lighted up. They had a big framework that went over the road that had lights all over it.
Speaker A: How many shafts they had there.
Speaker B: But that's more on the fans.
Speaker A: Made one mine shaft into a museum or not a museum retreat. And they built a big warehouse there so people can go there and pay and have a tour, walk around. I'm not sure they're going to go inside the shack. I doubt it. Without proper railing and stuff like that to get it over.
Speaker B: Yeah, when I was. When I turned 21, my dad stopped at the. At the bar there in Browns Valley and I had the first beer I ever bought after I was legal age. Yeah, still there.
Speaker A: Change of hands. Probably three of them. I think one of the owners was retired. Right.
Speaker B: Colonel?
Speaker A: From me a little. Over.
Speaker B: Yeah. Good talking to you, Phil. Are you on a handheld.
Speaker A: This is a Kenwood Tangle Mike 281.
Speaker B: Yeah, I'm losing your signal, Phil. You must be mobile. Yeah, I go back to the days Phil there at when there was no Collins Lake. It was a little ranch owned by Pansy Higgins. They were Portuguese family that owned that property in there. Yeah, I'm losing you, phil. Sure good to talk to you. Whiskey. Let's see. K6 whiskey. Whiskey. London. Ki6hk. Okay, jack.
Speaker A: You take care.
Speaker B: Have a nice afternoon.
Speaker A: 73 k6wwo mobile. Bye bye.

Speaker C: Nice. Yes, I heard it from the other room and came on in here, so. Yeah, I appreciate the shout out.
Speaker A: Alrighty. Well, I'm probably 10 minutes away, so see you soon. 73 for now. W6P and H.
Speaker C: Sounds good. 73 to U2K 6KBS. Clear.

Speaker A: W6P and H K6KDS.
Speaker B: Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker A: I forgot one thing. Did you happen to stop by Sam's to get some coffee cups and lids?
Speaker B: No, I didn't. You want me to do that or do you want to just head out early enough to do it on our way.
Speaker A: Well, I'll leave that up to you. Although I am heading over. The sisters are heading over to mom's about 4, so that might be cutting a little close. So you might maybe ought to go now.
Speaker B: Okay, I can do that. All right, well, I'll see you in a little bit, then.
Speaker A: Okay. One more thing. You might want to stop by the RX counter to pick up some prescriptions. Okay. So I will go ahead and really say 73 now and I'll talk to you soon. K6KDS clear on your final.
Speaker B: All right, well, good info. Thanks for letting me know. And I'll head to Sam's. W6P and H clear.
