Speaker D: Okay, it's November 7 DX Club, Delta X-ray Canada.
Speaker C: Name is Keith, and I'll just stand by. I'll see if I can make it in from here in Lodi. N7DX.
Speaker A: November 7, Delta X-ray Charlie. Got it all that time, Keith, and thank you for the check-in. Do we have any additional check-ins in net? This is W7X-ray Zulu.
Speaker E: Kilo Charlie 6 Foxy November Bravo.
Speaker A: KC6FLB, uh, Lance, good evening to you and thank you for the check-in tonight. Do we have any additional check-ins? This is W7X-ray Zulu. Nothing heard. Sounds like we might have pumped the well dry on that one. Anyway, let's move into the roundtable mode here and And so anyway, in order of appearance, K6HFP, John, you're leading off. And from you it'll go to KD7UHF. Ron, from you to KF6EWO. Gary, from you to KO6BGY. And Paul, you'll be passing it to November 7 Delta X-ray Charlie. And Keith, following you will be Kilo Charlie 6 Foxtrot Lima Bravo. That's Lance. So John, it's your nickel. K6HFB, HamNet, W7X-ray Zulu.
Speaker F: 7 X-ray Zulu in the net, this is K6HMP, John up in Orville. Um, got to start researching, uh, 1x2 calls to, to switch over to. Maybe, um, not a ton left, so not sure how successful I'll be with that. But, um, not a ton for me this week, uh, just enjoying the, the Cooler weather from last week, man. I thought we were gonna start cranking it up there, but luckily we got a little bit of a reprieve this week. Not really looking forward to the summer if it's anything like last summer and the summer before, so. Anyways, other than that, just been following the solar activity activity that, that's been going on. Um, was kind of hoping that the, uh, the same— the solar flares from a couple days ago that popped off with a couple filaments, they kind of joined up into two, you know, impacts and maybe three impacts. But I was kind of hoping we might see some pretty intense, uh, geomagnetic storms to get some auroras going south, but I don't know how far. I heard some reports that last night there was, like, earlier in the morning, there was some all the way down to New Mexico visible, probably with cameras obviously, but still, that's pretty far south. I wasn't up to check it out, but, um, you know, it's always cool to see that kind of stuff when it comes south. But, uh, other than that, that's all I got. Hope everybody's doing good, and, uh, pass it over to Ron.
Speaker B: KD7UHF and the net, K6HFP.
Speaker A: Hello, thank you, John.
Speaker D: This is KD7UHF here in Arville, and I don't have much. I have not been on the radio, and other than tonight, I've been stumbling around the house, still on like crutches after I fell and screwed up my leg, but it's getting a lot better, so I'll be able to get out. I gotta do some weed whacking. Place is getting pretty bad. So with that, I'll pass it on over to Gary, KF6EWO, KD7UHF.
Speaker G: KD7UHF in the net, this is KF6EWO, Gary in Oroville.
Speaker E: Not much to report.
Speaker G: I've been slowly working on getting a 40-meter loop up in my backyard. Just a lot of things to put together to be able to hang it up and everything. So don't have trees, but I got poles, so, and a side of the house. So that's what I'm working on as far as that goes. Spent some time with my in-laws, um, and, uh, not much else. So with that, uh, pass it over to Paul, K6DDGY, KF6EWO.
Speaker H: KF6EWO, anyway, Kilo Oscar Six Bravo Golf Yankee, Paul in Columbus, Made a few, uh, short contacts and stuff throughout the week on the repeater, and that's about it. And thank you, Gary, by the way. Caught me off guard, I forgot I even checked in. Anyway, I'll go ahead and pass it on to T-N7-Delta-X-Ray-Charlie.
Speaker E: W-E-6-A-X-N repeater.
Speaker C: Hello, this is N7DX. I'll probably make this my last transmission because I don't know if I can hold the repeater from down here in Lodi with just a J-pole. But I wanted to say hello to you guys.
Speaker A: I had it on the frequency and thought I would say hello.
Speaker C: I've never talked to anybody on your repeater, but I've heard it coming through nicely down here in Lodi. We're more of an HF operator and I was looking for some good conditions today, but looks like we're taking a dive for a few days. Thank you very much for letting me in and I'll say good night to you.
Speaker A: Over to Lance, K6FLB.
Speaker C: Good evening.
Speaker A: Good evening, Mickey.
Speaker B: I think that was your name.
Speaker E: Yeah, I appreciate you handing it over to me and you're welcome to come come back anytime. We're out here every Sunday night, 8 o'clock on the OA-5, and then we go to HF after that just for a check-in. And I don't got a lot to— going on. I had good— 4 good contacts on the 19th, uh, Louisiana, Texas, Australia, and Iowa, and had decent QSO with the guy in Iowa.
Speaker A: So we—
Speaker E: conditions are well enough that we could actually stick around and get to know get to know each other a little bit. The Australian one, I'm really, really lucky and blessed on that one because there was usually a pileup on it. This time I was lucky enough to actually get in and actually have a conversation with the gentleman. And we had a men's conference this Saturday that was awesome. So that's about it unless— well, I think we— do we have a list on who's going to be doing the parade?
Speaker B: K6HFP.
Speaker A: Yeah, go ahead, John.
Speaker F: Negative, Lance, not yet. We haven't been putting that together, but pretty soon we'll probably start that planning. It's not until May, so, but we're getting close to coming up on 6 weeks until, so we'll probably start planning that pretty soon. K6HFP.
Speaker E: Appreciate that. Well, the weeks go by so fast, sneaks up on you if you're not planning, so I just figured I'd ask anyway. Okay, uh, that's it. Um, thanks for the chat on here, and we'll probably catch you guys over on 10. KC6FLB, back to the net.
Speaker A: KC6FLB and the net, W7XZ. Okay, Lance and Keith, for information, we give 10 meters a try after the 2-meter net here. Our frequency is 28.450 upper sideband, and we usually give it a try here after the 2-meter net. Let's see, from here to Lhotai, I don't know, might be a little bit of a a tough shot there unless you got something a little— with a little bit of gain that can look up this direction. All I'm using on the HF bands at the moment is an inverted L. It's a 130-foot flattop and 50 feet vertical, but it's been good for 6 continents actually on 160 through 10. Anyway, do we have any additional check-ins to the net? This is W7XZ. Nothing heard. Anyway, Lance, the parade will definitely be an agenda item for the, uh, uh, April meeting, uh, of the club there on April 10th. And, uh, hopefully we'll be getting something organized, uh, then because, uh, the, uh, parade is, uh, Mother's Day weekend there in May. And without, uh, having a calendar to look at, I'm not sure if, uh, we have a meeting before that, uh, uh, parade or not month. I'll have to check that out, I guess. Aside from that, haven't done too much on the air. I noticed this morning that conditions are really poor from here to Amador County on 75 meters, and the geomagnetic storm that's been in progress the last couple days, it's probably the culprit on that. Hopefully that will subside here in the next day or two. And aside from that, Ron, I can relate to the need for weed whacking. I got my weed whacker on wheels running last Tuesday and managed to cut down a few few hundred square feet of tall grass. I've created the illusion of a lawn there in the front yard. I've got quite a bit more to cut down though. Anyway, with that, I'll run it back up the line. Does anyone have additional comments for the net?
Speaker B: This is W7X-ray Zulu.
Speaker F: K6HFP.
Speaker A: Go ahead, John.
Speaker F: Unfortunately, I'll miss 10 tonight. I don't have my gear up at the moment, but this week I'm planning on testing it out, the new antenna and all that. So, but it's not up yet. So back to you, Jim.
Speaker B: K6HFP.
Speaker A: Okay, John. Yeah, got plenty of time there to check things out, get familiar with the setup and all that. Anyone else with any additional comments for the net? This is W7X-ray Zulu. Nothing heard. I'll make this last call for any late check-ins or any unfinished business before we close 2-meter portion of the net and give 10 a try. This is W7X-ray Zulu. Nothing heard. Thanks to all who checked in tonight. This net will convene again this coming Sunday evening at 8 PM local time. This is W7X-ray Zulu signing the 2-meter portion of the Oroville Amateur Radio Society Sunday Night Net clear and going QSY to 28.450 MHz upper sideband. Good evening to all.
