Speaker A: K6LNK system 36
Speaker B: on AC
Speaker A: now. Mountain range
Speaker B: battery announcement at 17 enabled.

Speaker A: And 17 and the Las Vegas.
Speaker B: Hello, ralph. And happy Friday to you, Ken.
Speaker A: Thing Back at you. Back at you. So I'm not sure when you sent me that text the other day. I was out of town. I got back in cell service and got the message. But was all the audio testing and stuff done satisfactory satisfactorily or what was going on?
Speaker B: No, that was. Jeff was working on some stuff. He was checking some sights and he was kind of scratchy, but it sounded like he was able to clean up the signal. And then his ATMF were working. But. Yeah, it was just. It was a lot and I just thought it would disconnect it just so it wasn't coming out over your stuff. I think you saw in the text just as I was doing it sounded like you was then.
Speaker A: Oh, okay. Yeah, like I said, I was out of. In an area where there. I couldn't have my cell phone actually. And I had it whenever. Something different place. When I finally got back up there, I saw the message I was showing you. Anyways, all. It's all good. It's all good. So I'm glad. Glad you got things worked out. So what. What are you up to this weekend?
Speaker B: Any cool projects? Well, my wife played around with some of her new plants, flowers that she bought that we bought a couple days ago. She. I think we'll. We'll probably finish up with that tomorrow. And then it looks like Jeff is still working on some stuff with that new repeater going up on Santiago. So maybe I'll be able to get together with him tomorrow and get that done. Other than that, no, it's gonna be a nice quiet weekend for us. Yeah.
Speaker A: Cool. Yeah, I gotta. I gotta go to my mom's tomorrow and take down a Christmas decoration for it coming out of town, get up early, hit. Hit the gym and then go to her place, do that. I think the wife and I are going to go out, have a nice dinner tomorrow night.
Speaker B: Good deal. We. We had a nice lunch out today. You know, we. I don't know, we like to stay
Speaker A: home,
Speaker B: But you know, like lunch today we had a really nice lunch. So we do like to get out once or twice a week, but other than that we just. We love to stay home and make our own meals. Yeah. So we still haven't had our anniversary
Speaker A: dinner or have we. We had our anniversary dinner.
Speaker B: I guess we did. We haven't had our anniversary. The outing yet. I'm still trying to find a nice place for us to go spend a couple of days.
Speaker A: Yeah. Good. Good. Yeah, you know, we, we be eating a lot. I'm not a big, I'm not a big food guy. To me, food is fuel. Right. I just, I get yelled at by, by the wife every now and again for eating over this thing. But there's a, there's a really nice restaurant not far too far down the road from our house. It's around a man made lake that's on desert shores and we go there quite often, probably up to three times a month. So they know us and take really, really good care of us. So we like to go there. Matter of fact, we went there for Thanksgiving and I called and they gave me all this, the lady in the front giving all stuff. Well, you got to prepay, you got to put a deposit down. We have a fixed menu and let me talk to Mike. Mike's manager said, hey Mike, this is Ralph. He goes, oh, no problem. Don't worry about any of that crap we got you.
Speaker B: I would imagine a lot of places nowadays, in some neighborhoods, they probably, they probably have some kind of a hole on the credit card, especially with all that dine and dashing, the dine and dashing going on. Yeah, they don't do any of that here. All right. My wife is having difficulties giving one of our cats medicine, so I'm going to set this down for just a minute and give her a hand.
Speaker A: All right. An good to talk to you. I'll be on the road for a few minutes, so if I don't talk to you before I get back home, you have a good evening and I'll, I'll sure I'll hear you on the radio this weekend. N17.
Speaker B: See you later. N6.

Speaker C: Using a new handheld.
Speaker A: Walk about and tune into low code to see. Giving it a shot. 49.400. Yeah, no, you're fine. Full quieting now.

Speaker C: Radio

Speaker A: Hey morning Tom. Kind of chilly morning. It down below freezing in my place.
Speaker B: Yeah, same here so far no irrigation pipes or float or anything like that.
Speaker A: Yeah, that's already 37. I actually just filled up my Jeep as a 287 a gallon man, I just wasn't have not been paying attention to gas prices but under three bucks. I haven't seen that in a long time.
Speaker B: Yeah, I paid. Paid like $346 pretty good for a while bucks. But we're I think. I think was the price of Sam's Club. Where'd you get your gas?
Speaker A: The Murphy Station just east of Easter Ranch on Craig.
Speaker B: Oh yeah, yeah, I know that place. So what are you up to today?
Speaker A: I go to my mom's house, take down her Christmas decorations for her and gonna have to. And I got it. I ordered a replacement battery for one of my Dell convertible tablets. I think it was only running like two hours or so so I found to replace some battery on Amazon. I'm gonna do some search around that but Dell actually has a really cool 3D tutorial online. It shows you step by step how to take it apart and remove the battery and everything else.
Speaker B: So it looks.
Speaker A: You gotta be careful. Right. Take your time. Time and do it. But looks pretty straightforward so I'm going to give that a shot.
Speaker B: Are the connectors soldered on or something?
Speaker A: No, it's a ribbon cable that slides onto the battery and then has one little retaining clips on. So yeah, like. Like I said looks really straightforward. A couple of screws in the back and then you got to take one of those little plastic jimmy tools or whatever and kind of pry the case apart, you know, kind of snap it together. But anyways looks pretty straightforward. I'll give, I'll give Del kudos man. You know they actually put that on the site on their. No kidding official site with all the instructions and stuff kind of. I don't usually see that. Right. But anyways give that a shot. It's a little convertible. It's like a circus pro type thing with a magnetic attachable keyboard. And I got it for a song on Dell refurbished. I got all my stuff on there to take to the sites, you know my VNA software and all my CPS software for all the Motorola radios and vector analyzers and all that stuff. So just a little nice little thing I can throw into one of those harbor freight boxes and take up to the radio sites with me.
Speaker B: Yeah, so I wonder if there's much snow up there.
Speaker A: Yeah, can't see on Polar Sea because you got to be on that mesh thing to see the cameras, which were not. As a matter of fact, we're going to put some actual Nokini cameras up there that are tied to our network that are independent from having to be on the mesh thing. So I can't see up there, but Angel's got quite a bit of snow. Highland got nailed. Matter of fact, we lost the Verizon card on Highland for a couple hours, and it came back, so I'm not sure what happened. Maybe Verizon had an outage, but everything's up. But, yeah, quite a bit of stuff.
Speaker B: Yeah. So far, not much snow up by my property.
Speaker A: Kind of relatively mild. Winter got a.
Speaker B: A couple days ago. That's it.
Speaker A: Yeah. And I think they were talking about it getting it warmer again next week. So whatever's up on the. On the hills will probably melt up pretty quick. I checked a lot. A tree on the mountaintops this morning was like 15 degrees up to both angel and high, and I'm sure it's already starting to warm up. But anyways, that's about it. Those are some of the projects I need to do tomorrow. I was out of town last week
Speaker B: for a little bit, so I was
Speaker A: trying to get caught up.
Speaker B: All right, well, You have a great day.
Speaker A: Have fun with your mom
Speaker B: and our 17.
Speaker A: Yeah. Fun times. Big dunkers. As decorations. Okay. All right, man. Enjoy your breakfast. Have a good one. And 7. T&D. Thanks for the shout.

Speaker B: Yeah, I'm just getting ready to head out the door, Putting on my shoes.
Speaker A: I'm just playing a little bit of radio learning. Learning how to do some programming with stuff I've never done before. And I think the wife is upstairs taking a little nap. When she gets up, I will probably finish up with our plants and our flowers out on the front porch. Yeah, nothing exciting going on here. Beautiful day. 81 degrees at the moment.
Speaker B: Yeah, it's beautiful here, too. It's like 45, 45 degrees.
