2m Simplex (146.520 MHz) recordings for 2025-12-02

And 6 ntm. I thought I heard lzw from across the room. Well, you made the firewood run, Roger. Well, Heather, didn't take you too long to round up that. Oh, heck, man, it's just.

It just keeps getting better even though it. It. My cup runneth over already, so. Yeah, I couldn't ask for anything more. My. My sweetie's down to about 95 days or something and. Yeah, then we'll go see the world. Well, we'd like to move. Yeah. Yep. Like to go see some places and do some hot rodding and. And some music ventures and you name it. Check out the United States just in case we forced get forced to move. But it looks like things are going to straighten out here real short, like.

Well, just in case, I mean, you know, if, if somebody like new scum is going to continue to ruin California, the next governor, we might have to get out of here. But. Yeah, it's just nice to have something in mind so you don't not waiting at the last minute. I know it. But he's. Oh, Trump. Straightening things out left and right. I don't know what your news looks like over on your end, but. Yeah, looks like Minnesota. You know, Minnesota is going to get straightened out here in the next 20, 30 days. They did a nice job with.

DC and they're getting ready to do New York. So if they want to want to be weirdos f a f o.

Well, Buddy Brown, he's. He's a good one to watch. Constantly being biblical with, backing up with his point of view. He thinks the devil's already. Has already started to walk the planet. You know, that's biblical. It's gonna get tough. You can see how many people are abstract with abstract minds. For that many people to be acting that way, I can't help but think there's some type of a bigger force controlling that.

Yeah, I. You can't see. You can't see that from the main street, you know, from Skyway. And I've been on the back streets there. I haven't noticed anything that was shiny. I'd have to spot it. I'd have to spot it from the forest ranch side or something, so I knew where to go.

Oh, it's interesting, if nothing else. You know, if you ever get a real wild hair. Yeah? We could go looking for it. Might be fun.

Oh, damn it. You're driving your pickup. So? So you didn't get more than road rash, huh?

Neosporin. Nothing better on road rash than Ian's Neosporin. Well, I'm glad you didn't get breaking no bones or. Or ended up in traction somewhere.

You've been riding long enough. I'd trust your judgment. Yep, and it doesn't take long for a leaky hydraulic or. Or deep diesel. Wears out pretty quick, but hydraulic fluid. Boy, it'll sit there for a while. Yeah, well, just goes to show, people. Could happen anytime, anywhere, to anyone.

Yeah. I laid one down on its side, only for about 10ft, and a Volkswagen pulled out in front of me. And as soon as the wheels hit the Volkswagen, it folded the bike up and the foot peg went through the door and the bike's handlebars hit the top of the roof. My hip hit the top of the roof and I did a couple flips and came down sitting down. Broke my tailbone. Didn't break any actual bones, but, yeah, I couldn't sit down for a couple of weeks. Hot tubbing it every day. Sometimes two or three times a day. Yeah, and I got pretty lucky. No road rash, nothing.

Well, thank the good Lord. Lucky nobody was coming the other way. Sliding.

Yeah. So how'd you get it home?

That's right. Yeah, well, motorcycles keep you young. That's what I think. Or. Or whatever it is you enjoy doing, that's the object of life. Pursue the happiness. So just stick with it.

Hey, by the way, that was why I wanted to come out there last night or night before on 3900. What's up with Jonathan? Well, I always knew that six, seven years ago they were. They were keeping him alive. So I talked to him about eight months, maybe a year ago, and he said he was hanging in there. We didn't get any deeper on it, but. Yeah, so I got his number and everything. What about Alex? I haven't heard Alex.

I'll run into them. I keep meaning to get out there. We got a whole lineup of shows to watch at night, you know. I converted over to spending the evenings with my sweetie. So anyway. Yeah, you don't have any sleepless nights. So you don't go turn your radio on and come up to 97, the top of the band there. But you'd run into us. I haven't heard Larry in Idaho for a long time either.

Yeah, he's fishing. He'd like to be able to run back and tell some of the guys that there was some type of negativity on 3900. One way or another, he's just fishing. He's not doing all that good himself, but he hasn't been doing good for three or four years. So I was just up there, excuse me, at his place, what, two months ago or something like that. So he looks alright to me. I talk to him every morning.

Yeah, we all. We all do that. What about John up there? I haven't heard him. I used to catch him in the morning from time to time. The John that lives pretty close to you.

Yeah, Well, I used to catch him in the morning, you know, seven, eight, nine o' clock in the morning, talking to his brother down there by. Well, south of me, anyway. Around the Bay Area. Yeah. I wasn't gonna remember, but. Oh, yeah. Well, that's good. At least I know he's still kicking it. And. And what about Mark out in Forest Ranch? Not Forest Ranch, but Forestville. Well, you know, out there in the Russian river, up there, Monterey or something. Yeah, he don't come talk to us too much. I just heard him about three weeks ago. Yeah, I'm not.

Sure. What's going on with that? I'll just have to stop by. There. Let me see. So Mark is in his name. Lives out there by Monteria or whatever. Right on the river, right up on the hill. He was putting a motorcycle together about a year ago. You know, he built guitar amplifiers for a while. No, he lives in a little community. He's not that far from the water. I know you know who I'm talking about. I just haven't made it clear to you. Yeah, he bought a motorcycle just down the hill. He used to build guitar amplifiers. Little pig nose.

Roger. Yeah, we went by his place. We went by his place last time. We went north on 1101 and 1. Yeah. And hung out with him and his sweetie for an hour or two. That was fun. Can't even remember his name. That's. That's not too good.

Yeah. Steven down there in Chico, he's been practicing, too.

Yeah, once you get the bug. And I'm not talking about the key. Yeah, well, so much for catching up on the people. Anyway, that arrests my mind a little bit. And then 6 ntm. From the flatlands. Huh? Huh? I gotta turn around here, look out the window, see what kind of sunset we got. I don't see. I don't see anything. Very impressive. A little bit of orange.

Oh, Roger. Oh, I will. I've had the itch a couple times in the last couple months, so. All right, Very good. Drive safe. Good hearing you. Yes, indeed. N6 NTM.

Well, that's pretty cool. You guys have moved the net over to the 14652. Dang, that's nice. So at least I'll be able to hear you really well. KN6MGK. Sounds to me like you guys are trying to cause a ruckus out here. N6NTM yeah, you know, he would probably actually get more people checking in if he did in that hump. 5:2. You know, a real channel, a real ham frequency. Do I have to wash my hands? All right, back to you guys. N600TM have a good evening, both of you.

Have a good evening yourself. Just chewing on a piece of beef jerky. Kilo. November 6th might go kilo.

Yeah, I quit reminding my wife. She's sitting here telling me, Yeah, my attitude tomorrow. It's like we lived at the coast in Chico, but it wasn't today, so I was always this evening. Yet I don't know that I will, but I should let you know if you really want to do a check. It's been nice all day, so I'm kind of reluctant to think that it would be anyway. So maybe it was foggy up your way, because we probably sent it up there.

Yeah. Meshtastic node with J in the hopes that he figures this stuff out. So maybe you can get one of those, too. Put it. Get a note and put it up. If he figures it all out.

Well, I'm shutting it down. But I think Paul out there was wanting to know. Is it foggy outside? Nope, not really. But it is crisp and cool down in Chico. Good evening, everybody. Good night, Kilo. November 6th. Mike, golf. Kilo is clear. Dang. Are you on hf? Because I didn't hear anything earlier. In fact, it was a pretty dead band. We get there at 3:30, there won't be anybody else out there for about another 15 or 20 minutes. See, there's no sense of getting on there before 4 o'. Clock. 3:30 to 4 o'. Clock. I can easily wake somebody up like you. All right. I'm back to Northern Exposure. Good evening. Sleep tight. You're watching that old show.

That was a good show. I think a lot of several of the cast members are passed away, though, by now. Like Ann Heche. Take the guy who plays Maurice. I think he's bad, that he's passed. I'm sure he passed. Maybe Fleischmann's still out there, though. Yeah. And Maggie or whatever. Yeah, I remember the cast members. We watched that about two decades ago, if I remember right. It was like a little soap opera thing. But yeah, Ann Heche, she died. She took some too much alcohol and drugs. I think that got her. All right, good night. We're watching some Western or something. Kilo November 6th. Might go off. Kilo Clear. The new season of Landman. N6 NTM. Good night.

What do you mean? It's 3 o' clock in the morning and 6 and TM.

Oh, I'm sure you were listening, but that's a good one. N6 NTM that's a pretty good deal In Idaho. Anyone who helps ice, identify and ultimately deport an illegal from Idaho gets free beer for one month at the Old State Balloon. And you can find that on x.com under old state Saloon. Is that all? Is that so cool or what? N6NTM Good morning. And 44 degrees up there in good old Magalia.

Well, well, well. Hey, I just heard some news that Jimmy was in the hospital. Dennis. Good morning. Well, dehydration is what got. No, You know, I think I got a phone number for him. I'll do my best to remember to call him sometime today.

Yeah, the elevations here helps. You're looking pretty strong, too. Well, yeah, the last. The last time they took all they can take. I remember them saying that was over a year ago. I remember him saying there wasn't any more to take. That was it. Yeah. His wife's been heck. Hecka blessed, no doubt. She's got to enjoy those. Those grandkids for, you know. I mean, I'm sure that's probably what's helping her stay alive. That and the good Lord, of course.

I don't know. I don't care to find out. Tell you the truth, most people died from. From cancer in my family. All but my grandmother. So I'm thinking somehow I got urging. Yeah, but more than 50% of that is so slow moving that you'll die of something else before it catches up with you.

Oh, yeah, I heard of it, too. And the stuff that does move faster, the radical stuff that don't take long at all.

I didn't want to ask you yesterday, but across my mind, and I wished I had it. But I'm glad you shared that with me anyway. Well, I would say it's prayers answered.

That's fine. I never heard of that.

Roger. So I do set the square chip. When I know I'm talking to a mobile and it starts dropping out, I back it off. But yeah, this, this elevation here and the antenna on top of a tree on top of everything else, I hear stuff way down there. I mean way down there. So yeah, I have to run a squats. Otherwise I'm only usually hearing the loudest stations or periodically mobiles that hit high spots.

Yeah, I was. I'm glad you shared that, too. That way I could hear the difference. So the. I would think your side, you're. You're talking off the side of the roof there would be better than the back. What's that, about a 6 inch spike? It's working all right.

Yeah, That's a way to save some money. Happy Picket fenced a little bit right there. You still get out there on 3900 at about the same time? 7, 8 o'? Clock? Yeah. I'll do my best to come out there tonight.

Hey, good morning to you. And then 6 ntm. Yeah, you did come up there right when you were saying there's a little rise right there. Started hearing you a lot better.

How much wood do you think you're hauling? Half a cord. Nice.

Oh, yeah. Yep. Within the first five miles before you start going uphill. Yeah, they like that little spot, especially that little dog leg at the end of the long straight.

Did I tell you yesterday, over there in Idaho, in Eagle, Idaho, they got a bar there that if you know. If you know an illegal Mexican and you turn them in, Annie gets deported. They'll give you free beer for a month, Dennis.

If they have a big enough following and enough people chime in there, if they hadn't haven't committed any crime. If they pay taxes or have a job, which is pay taxes, they won't mess with them. They're just, just after the, the ones that are causing trouble.

Yep, and a million other aspects. All the prices, everything will go down. Medicare, insurance stuff, you betcha.

We, we gotta have them. The, the truth is the majority of them are hard working people and they'll do jobs that, that the other people won't do. A lot of that farming stuff, you know. Yeah, we gotta have my. This is supposed to be land of the free. It's not that hard to follow the rules and the laws and, and do it correctly. And if, if you're not willing to at least do that, you're too lazy to be here.

All right. Good. Good hearing. Good hearing. You catch later. Dennis and 6 ntm.

Did he. Did he hear you, jay? I got to talk to him yesterday, too, for a little bit. I had a sneaking feeling he might have stayed in Orland last night. He might have been over at Mark's.

Yeah, I. I have two security doors here, but they're screened. Not the cheap screen, but actual security. All steel. Yeah, real easy to mount and stuff. But if you're looking for something to keep the weather out as well, this won't work for. I put one on the side of Lori's potting shed, and, man, it works good. It's got a dead bolt and everything. And they're cheap, they're free.

Well, I got three of them. They had him in the go to the scrap metal pile down there at, at the asphalt plant. And I made a quickie phone call and they said, have Adam. I loaded them up, hinges and everything. The whole, the whole, the whole caboodle. And one set is even French, French style doors, Got the center post and everything.

Yeah, I better say good morning before I get too involved on HF again. No, bug. Oh, good morning, Paul.

Good morning, kilo number six. Mike golf kilo.

N6wip kn6mgk. Going okay. Wanted to say good morning to you. I think you're probably going to have a little fun here in a little bit, but anyway, at least wanted to say good morning.

So you need a BNC female to sma something.

I would probably. But what you put on your antenna, I think that's what you're talking about. Probably right. Did you put an sma? Seems like that would have been an sma Female. On the antenna, I would think.

Yeah, but mostly what I see on the end of antennas is bnc because they want to quick connect other antennas because they prefer loop antennas, I was telling you, for, you know, directional finding. But anyway, so they want to switch back and forth to different antennas a lot of times. So they'll put like a BNC male on the, on the antenna. And so, yeah, obviously you need a BNC female to go into that.

Yeah. What really stinks is that on a lot of those connectors anymore, you have to buy them by the tins and stuff like that. You know, you pay for tax, pay for shipping. It gets ridiculous to just buy one little thing. I bought some from H Auto the other day. I just threw them onto an order. I mean, they wanted, like, $5 a piece for each one, plus tax and shipping, so it's ridiculous.

The biggest problem I think we have in America is that companies like Amazon's got it figured out, you know, versus all these other companies that end up going out of business, like ham, radium stuff. There's only a few of them left now, but because nobody wants to pay, I just need two adapters. They're $5 apiece, plus your shipping is $10, plus tax. So you end up having, you know, $24 invested in two little connectors. We can get them on air. You can get a two. Probably get a two pack on Amazon for $3.95, no shipping.

Yeah. By the time you calculate how much money you have invested in all your little parts and your time, you know, in Blake's time, whoever else is doing all this, you guys could just bought one Kraken and been done with the whole thing.

Oh, yeah, and six mtm.
