Ah, yes. 54 degrees up in Magalia. Hard to believe. And six NTM. Good morning.
Wip ntm did you. Did you get your iron?
Yeah. I'm gonna tin mine here in a minute. I got the flux and the. And the. A real 6040 old school solder.
Well, I'm looking at home theater projection style, and I'm liking that Epson 3800.
Yeah, but I can put it in the house. And we're not RVing. 150 inch screen.
Speaker A: Even the more expensive ones are only 2400. The 4010 and the 50. 50. That's their big one. $3,000 and twenty three hundred dollars and 3,000 lumens for the. For that 3,800. I'm still. I'm still looking them over. Trevor did like the Epson models. You can get a nice one, right. About a thousand bucks. The 2354 K Pro. But I don't like the idea of needing two remotes, and nobody seems to like the apps. So that that 3800 has one control, and it operates just. Just about everything. I think it still has a manual focus in that, but not that big a deal. Once you're set up, you're
Speaker B: set. Yeah.
Speaker A: Yep. Might as well go with the full. As big as it can do, which I think is 150 inches.
Yeah, you can make it come out of. You got to have some room in the floor, though.
Speaker A: I'd have to make some quick measurements, but I don't mind bolting it to the ceiling in the house
Speaker B: and letting it drop down. That'd be all right with me. Well,
Speaker A: we're pretty high on the ceilings. The thing is, is in the pantry, there's just that one wall. And the projector could sit in there on top of the cabinet and. And shoot right toward the opposite wall. What, about 8, 18ft or something across the living room?
I'm going to wait till Trevor gets a good look at it. He's been staying up on it over the years, does 3D and all that stuff.
Not gonna. I'm not gonna set up for the house at this point, but I'd be able to. And you wouldn't want to leave something like that in an RV over the winter or something like that if you'd want to bring it in the house anyway. So. Yeah, I'm pretty happy with that 85 inch TV we have. And there's plenty big. Really don't need anything bigger. But it, it might be nice to have something that folds out of the ceiling that even gives you. Everybody's ranting and raving about the 4K quality.
Speaker A: To tell a close. I was pretty impressed
Speaker B: and I don't even know how much he spent. It was just a small projector, it was a portable one and, and we were outdoors and he probably had at least a, at least an 80 inch diagonal pull down screen and the picture looked pretty damn good. But it was nighttime. These couple that I'm looking at here, the 2350, which I don't like to control the remotes they'll play during the day.
Speaker A: They're. They're boasting 6 and 8k here in. In short, that's the next the big step.
Speaker B: Supposed to be out in 20. I'm gonna go look at the view Sonics, but I don't think you're gonna beat the Epsons. Maybe I should look at the best of first.
Yeah, I wouldn't get it from him, but I'd like to go there and look at. You know, I'm limited for space for the actual projector. 17 inches. And by 17 inches, I looked at that bigger one. It was 20 inches by 16 inches, something like that. But they had too many drawbacks on the bigger units that the big in size. You know, they got projection screens now that are less than 15 inches from the screen. They put it on the. Where your sound bar is and it beams right up into the screen. Pretty weird. Not interested in that either. It's got to be able to fit on that shelf above the bed or up in one of those cabinets.
I'll be back in 6 centimeter.
Well, that is pretty impressive on the soldering. Very impressive.
That. That solder sucker is pretty powerful.
Good thing. Good thing jay was on 2 meters, so let me know. Otherwise I might have bored you guys with a long key up.
I wish they would have put a nice case, sent it with a nice plastic or whatever case to put the sucker in the. In the stand. Yeah, maybe I'll. Maybe next time I'm down at Harbor Freight, I'll look at their little vacuum boxes and cut out my own foam. I'm pretty good at that. That way everything stays nice and Newey.
Yeah, I charged mine right away.
Speaker A: Did you open your sponge package? I wish they would have put two drawers
Speaker B: in there so you could put a sponge in with the tip. That would have been nice. And. And now I know what those little rubber tips are for. Those are for the solder sucker,
Speaker A: so you don't booger up your sucker. Yeah, it is a decent little box, but
Speaker B: everything rolls around by dumping on each other. I'm gonna get me one of those cases. They make some pretty small ones. I got my 259B in one. That's about the right size.
All right, now I'm going to go look at an MN V11 screen. They offer several different sizes. Then I got to get down and measure a RV so I can outfit correctly. I'm going to get the screen right away. I'm going to wait on the, wait on the projector, see what that Trevor's take is. And yeah, he's around. He's a good reviewer. He can. Or he'll, he'll. He'll go ask questions about when the 6 and 8k stuff is due to come out. Of course, I wouldn't buy any of those right away either. I'm pretty sure. I'm sure the this deal at 4k is, is probably going to be good enough. Does the house smell good? We got a fresh loaf of sourdough coming out.
Well, the pull down screens are pretty reasonable. So reasonable I'd be afraid that they're cheaply made.
For about 50 bucks more, you can get an electric remote control drop down.
Wondering, do you need a special screen for 3D? Not that I'm a big 3D fan, anyway.
Speaker A: Yeah. Let somebody with some poop take over. I've been hearing you just fine the whole time. Good to Hear you Dennis. And
Speaker B: 6 NTM.
Speaker A: I didn't want to interrupt. Let. Let Jay have some radio time. Yeah. Fintech. Yeah that's the name of these. It's a relatively new company or Fantic F A N T T I K. Talk about a high quality quality solder pencil. No cords. Or you can run it plugged in but you don't need to. It's got a real nice temperature setting control. Yeah. And you could turn it on with your with your index finger and let it cool down between uses so that you don't burn up the tip. It is an isolated tip D.C. it wouldn't matter. So you can do chips with it. Really nice. Comes with a beautiful artistic stand and soldering sponges. Yep, pretty damn nice. I've bought three other besides the soldering gun fan kick products. I'm real impressed with that company. High quality. So what the heck you going after some more wood or what you doing?
Yeah. Makes it nice. Lightweight. Yeah, that's something they didn't put on here. Or something to tie it off in case you drop it. You know what a pain and how embarrassing is when you drop something and you're the only one up there.
Oh, yeah? Yeah. Well, you know what they look like, so it probably isn't.
Well, you know, they've been using the same older style equipment because it works for a bunch of years and, and they're probably starting to run out of the older stuff, so you're probably seeing some of the new and upcoming equipment.
Speaker A: Really? Yeah. You know, I was
Speaker B: watching a show the other day. I forget the guy's name, but he's the one that shot bin Laden in the head three times when they killed him. And he was saying that they flew in helicopters and they went to a place that he can't say, but it's in Arizona, so you know where that's at. And the helicopter made no noise when it was running, except for the only sound it makes is the chop of the. Of the blades turning. And he said he never believed in UFOs before, but he does now.
Speaker A: Yeah. Gives us hope. Are you hearing them good now, Jay? Yeah. I'm not sure
Speaker B: what's going on with Jays. We got the same antenna and we got the same radio, 100 watts. And I don't know what breaks up the areas he can talk to. He's actually, his house is a little higher than ours, but I'm up 100 foot tree, so that's given me some advantage. All right, Jay Dennis, I'd sit here and bull poop with you until the sun goes down. You know, it is good hearing you. And I'm going to turn you back over to Jake because I was just heading out the door when I hear heard your valonious voice. So good morning to you. Be careful. Don't get no spider bites. N6 NTM we're going out.
