Speaker A: Kn6MGK just got home. Good evening to you.
Speaker B: Out at the Eaton area.
Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah, you're real strong, Real strong. So you got anything planned for Valentine's Day? You gonna pick up something for the sweetie at home?
Speaker B: So I can't tell you about any of that. I was thinking about going out, but John will say everybody will be going out tomorrow night. I'm thinking wait and go out to some crowd.
Speaker A: Yeah, copy that. Whatever works. Yeah, I don't go out on Valentine's Day anymore. In fact, one of the things I like to do is, and this hasn't been done for a couple years now that the price has gotten so expensive, but my wife really likes crab leg. Like, you know, either snow crab or back in the day, king crab. So I'll get some of those and maybe a nice steak, nice vegetable, and make it right at home and have a nice presentation for the sweetie, and, you know, and she would enjoy it and so would I and cost less. And it was much better than what you get at these restaurants on. On Valentine's Day when it's very busy with poor service.
Speaker B: Yeah, there's a night here. Boy, what sky you got? But you probably ain't seen it from your house.
Speaker A: Well, I was going down the hill and you're headed back up. So I was. You know, every time I leave about that time, I see a nice sky on the way back down. I really enjoy that. Oh, yeah, that's some of the beauty that the Lord has made for us to enjoy. Rainbows are nice too. Pretty hard to beat. It did get a little cooler as the sun went down, I'll say that. So definitely feeling that coming.
Speaker B: Thousands of years.
Speaker A: Yep. Yeah, you got that right. Yep, I see the good Lord in lots of things. Even just today planted a little tree that I grew from a cutting. In fact, a friend of mine up in Magalia there let me cut a couple of cuttings from his fig. And yeah, I haven't planted those yet, but I did get a couple of them to take, I think. So we'll see in the spring or maybe have to wait another couple months to see if they really come out strong, but probably have to pot those up, I think, first. But nevertheless, that's pretty fun stuff to see how the Lord works his magic and provides for all of us.
Speaker B: Who was that guy out here last night after.
Speaker A: Well, I didn't hear any net. He was looking for the net and I didn't hear the net, so I guess Jim didn't do it. So anyway, his name was Mark and he was in Manton. And was it like K9, you know Kad? I think that's his call. Last was Kad. Never met him before, but I did talk to him one time before. I think he heard you and Jay talking one morning, maybe a week or so before that. Then he came on Den too. So he sent me an email too, but I have not responded to that yet. Seems like an okay dude, but we'll see.
Speaker B: It.
Speaker A: Oh yeah, yeah. Well, just, you know, it's good to hear somebody. I find that this frequency can be a little bit more busy than some of the repeaters and stuff. I mean, I was sitting down having a cup of coffee with those guys at Starbucks this morning until a little past noon and nothing was ever on that repeater the whole time. So yeah, I mean, you know, we were leaving plenty of breaks and so people that needed to get in if they needed to, couldn't. But anyway, I think it's the more the merrier out here and we can all help one another in case a need arises. And six mgk.

Speaker A: Well, I had it down pretty low. I was in the other room so I come out a couple minutes beforehand. But I pretty much have it on all the time like you do. I mean, been turning it off lately, about 11 o' clock at night and then turning it back on in the morning. And sometimes that's at like five in the morning. But I don't try to say nothing until six or something if I'm ever going to say anything.
Speaker B: But you know, it's the frequency I monitor. Well,
Speaker A: things are growing in the garden. Picked a nice cauliflower and I've got another one ready but I didn't pick it today but got some nice big daikon radishes. Them things are long. The one I picked today was about a foot long I think. Looks like a big huge carrot, like a 2 inch shoulder on it. Man. I got a few of those going around radishes and they're kind of sweet and you know this time of year, which are pretty interesting. The reason I planted them was to help with the compacted soil and here I am picking a few of them out. You're supposed to like let them stay in there and rot and that helps my contact with soil. But I've been picking some of them out of them to try them to eat them and they're pretty good. So I don't know, I might have to pick more. I don't know if you like radishes or not, but most of them are
Speaker B: about the size of a carrot. Yeah, a lot of people
Speaker A: grate them, grate them into their salads and things like that. Imagine you could put a little bit in your smoothies in the morning and you wouldn't even know that they're there. You know, just add to the goodness of your morning smoothies or something. But yeah, so I've got other things growing. The fava beans are starting to, to put on flowers so I think they're going to be putting some beans out pretty soon. The fruit trees are starting to leaf out so that's good. Yeah. Understand we're getting some more weather in here so maybe, maybe that'll put a damper in any fruit production, but that's okay. They're still small trees.

Almost sounds like beetroot. Like, you know, they grind up the beets, red beets. And anyway, maybe that's supposed to help with your blood pressure and blood circulation and stuff, too, but I don't know, Anytime someone guarantees something, I kind of get a little skeptical. I'm into supplements, you know, and vitamins and all that stuff, but generally, you know, no one really wants to guarantee something, you know?

Oh, yeah, well, I've got some of those issues, and you've got a few years on me, so I don't know. I think some of mine has to do with just hereditary, and some of mine has to do with other poor choices that I've made. But anyway, yeah, I'm kind of thinking it. Is that beetroot or whatever. Anyway, the wife's calling me over. I think she's made. She's made something for supper, so I'm gonna head on over there and grab a bite. But nice chat with you, and hopefully we'll hear you in the morning. Kilo, November 6th. Mike, golf. Kilo.

Ah, yes. It looks like the start of yet another beautiful day. 45 degrees up here in Magalia. Feels a little colder, but yeah. Good morning and 6 npm.

Speaker A: Do you like canned food? You guys are going to have to hold it down around here. The Waltons are on. And 6mtm
Speaker B: called shotgun a Western. It was okay.
Speaker C: Jay was just out here. He's probably getting him a cup of coffee. He'll be right with you.
Speaker B: Oh, yeah, I heard him. Yep, I heard him. So good morning to you guys. K N6MGK's lurking.
Speaker C: Lurking. All right. Good morning. Yeah, we really did. We're about five minutes into a Walton and drinking a cup of coffee. We're adjusting the world. All right, see you guys.
Speaker B: Well, I canceled my direct tv, so now I can't watch anything like that probably anymore. Right now. I don't know that I'm going to put anything else on other than the normal stuff. So I don't know if you have a TV service these days or not. I know you say you watch news, so I figured you might Fox News or something somehow.
