Ah, yes. I don't think I even turned this thing on yesterday. Looks like it's 48 degrees up Magalia this morning. And the start of yet another blustery day. Looks like we got plenty of rain. Dismissed. This nasty storm went above us, but it should be raining. N6NTM Good morning.
I was talking to the weatherman n6 ntm. No no sitting here watching it pour ra. Oh yeah anything to snivel and then of course he had already been on the phone with Larry it's always easy to tell because that's when he come up with the what are you talking about? So the other one can elaborate on it it's called dog piling but anyway it's an old trick and they all know what and when they're doing it so Terry's the only one that goes along with Larry Almost everybody else doesn't play it and of course Skip being Larry's neighbor and his latest friend he won't say good morning very rarely unless Larry's out there and use my name to say good morning with it he just says all same way Bill does oh yeah, I know who talks on the phone to who and Terry never came back about the GU74B which he was asking me about it the day before yesterday. That's those tubes that the Alphas take. Yeah I don't care about any of it I've been out there since 4:22 Rob didn't come in until about 5 o' clock but the early morning group John down down south in Arizona and Jerry and Rob and a couple other guys that come in here early like Larry the Weatherman WX yeah Before they come down or up off the other channel that the extras use Steve, Ms. and sq Larry yeah I get along with all those people just fine they don't actually play dog pile at all until after Larry comes on so they're aware everything that's happening he looks like the bad guy it's pretty obvious so I'm just fine with it Obviously I'm the only one that's considerate to everybody that doesn't want to hear it otherwise I, I'd throw it in his face and, and, and I, and I'd win when it comes to the cut down stuff because I'm faster than he is But I know everybody most of the other people ain't gonna want to hear the bantam back and forth and back and forth so for their sake I'm just not playing and, and I've learned from all that Jay that as long as I don't participate in it I'm controlling it it. Yeah, I'm gonna go down and get a haircut down there on Pearson sometime this morning had to jump start Lori's car last night all the time it's been snowing she hasn't been taking that to work so that battery's over with. They told her four or five months ago when it was up at the Dodge dealer that the battery needed to be replaced. It works just fine as long as she drives it, you know, at least once every three days. It's been about a week since she ran it. She tried to start it the other day and it didn't, but I, I put a 60 minute charge on it at 40amps and it started it up just fine this morning. But I left the charger on it in case we needed to. She's gonna batteries plus put them in for free, so probably gonna stop by there sometime today and, and get a new one, call it a day.
I thought John was checking out. I turned it up and missed some of that. Jay, What were you talking about?
Speaker A: Huh? Yeah, I got one of those little towers. Lori keeps it on the counter there in the kitchen. So that's become the new
Speaker B: charge point. Over there, You got a network hub for usb.
Speaker A: Roger. Yeah, I need to do something here. I need to make some jumper leads. I got a few things I need to do today. I gotta take this screen down, take it down to Chico, get it so I can get the 150. And they still haven't told me when I'm getting the 150 pull down from the ceiling, but I already know it. So he said the 28 so of March. So I'm going to hurry up and order one of these ones that's up on the legs like you saw here, the 120. I'm going to get the 150 on legs. That way I got something for the garage and I can use it here until I get the
Speaker B: 150 from the ceiling. They didn't have them at Amazon. Exactly. And he
Speaker A: said he would make it for me, except for I still had to run through. I'll give him a call today. I would have still had to run through
Speaker B: Amazon for the return, remember? Yeah, I got his phone number here. I will call him.
Speaker A: Yeah,
Speaker B: yeah. It's not like the lipos. You don't have to worry about the 14 7, you know. 138 will charge
Speaker A: the AGM. That's right. Unless you got a whole bank of them.
Speaker A: Yeah, I'd like to take those two AGMs I got. Not AGMs, but the LiPo 4s. That'd be 400amps. That'd be excellent for the RV. They're real lightweight. Yep. Two 200ampers. So that would put me well,
Speaker B: well into seven to ten days. I just haven't
Speaker A: decided whether I'm gonna put them up in the truck or find a place for them inside. They're so lightweight. You know, it'd be nice to have that and just run on the other two for all the other stuff, but make me a secondary bank for the projector and the other amenities, stereo and stuff like that.
Speaker A: Yeah. The metal ones that are in there just barely fit. I never do that to them.
Speaker B: I. I don't let them go get below, you know, 11.5 or so. And then I. I clip the charger on.
Yeah, I seen that other Charger unit in there. Pretty good size.
Speaker A: Yeah, I wouldn't, I wouldn't pump the battery up. Pump the battery storage up until if. But we are going to be doing a lot of dry camping, so I'm not looking forward to going into parks. But we may do that from time to time, especially
Speaker B: national parks. Give you a extra place to dump and all that.
Speaker A: Going to put. I'm going to dig a hole and put a 55 gallon drum in out here. It's fur enough away from
Speaker B: the wells. We, we have one, they
Speaker A: have one here for the septic tank and it's below the wells. So you don't have to worry about that now. The neighbor may suffer a little bit
Speaker B: in a couple of years. Yeah. And it's not that it's
Speaker A: over saturated. So what, 10 yards? 10 yards and you're back to not worrying about it. So there's plenty of distance between here and there, two, 300ft.
Not a single comeback. You like that? That makes larry's day.
I think Rob already beat feet and so did John. And I haven't heard Larry key up in a little bit. Except for Bill tried to key up on me real fast when I said good morning to Gary when he just checked out. So they know I'm running that little ALS 600. So I noticed almost everybody's way up in the red taking advantage of that. Yeah, well, if it's gonna rain all day, except for I should go down to Chico, but I know I'm going down a Neil road. Not Neil, but Pearson. And getting the haircut sometime today. Yeah, and I should put that. I know I got to get firewood sometime today, and it's going to be raining all day. And I should start the wiring deal there for the O2 sensor in the vet. Still gotta jack that all up, but now that her car's out of the way, it's. That'd be an easy fix. I'm gonna just have to chance that deal. What do they call that company? Yeah, I don't remember what they call it. Damn it. And I got too many emails to find it right now, otherwise it would come to me. I'm gonna look down there just in case. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Yeah, I don't see it. But that company, when the automatics just answer, that's what it's called.
Speaker A: Yeah, it's just band conditions. Let me. I don't have any noise over here. Let me see if I can get rid of the VC tune and open the squelch. And I get a little crash every now and then up to one. Otherwise it's sitting on zero. So I guarantee you you got something electrical
Speaker B: happening in the neighborhood. Loops are surprisingly quiet. They don't have to be all that high. One
Speaker A: of these days you'll try it.
Speaker A: You know. You know why? Because that transformer was already above the heat level that they'll run at, which means the oil in the transformer has fallen below the plates. Let's call it. Okay. And that's when it doesn't have all the plates. It's. It starts developing heat.
Speaker B: We don't
Speaker A: have to tell you when it's an emergency. Lady, you could lose everything in your house if I didn't shut
Speaker B: it off. Yeah.
Speaker A: Yeah. They think they're entitled no matter what, and they're. They're not. It's. It's a. It's an emergency type of deal. When they find a problem, thanks to you, sometimes they got to do it right. Right now. Yeah. So anyway. Yeah. Dealing with the public. Jay, I ain't telling you nothing.
Yes. Forest Ranch has the. It was the first system over there where they put the stuff underground. And it'll bypass an area with a problem. But everybody above and below can remain on power. And then of course, they see that on their board wherever they are monitoring all that they know right where to send the truck, what section anyway. Yep. And it. And it shuts off all that end in between. Nice. Bypass system is smart.
Speaker A: Yeah, they have a manual system over there on the other side of skyway. And they have to climb up the pole about 15ft, and there's a big handle. They can pull it down and then shove it back up, and that'll. It'll reset that particular breaker. That's what we had there. It was good for about 10 houses. And a red light came on up at the pole when it needed to be reset. Everybody else in the neighborhood got their power back out. Is it one of the years that it snowed three or so, Almost four feet. And of course, it broke that breaker. They fixed the problem, but they never went back and reset it. Come about a week later, I'm calling them up saying, well, you know, it's the breaker on the pole down here. I see the red light on, but all the rest of the neighborhood has power, and. And they came out and flipped it. I was tempted to go out there and flip it myself, but getting up there 14ft, you got to get up at least
Speaker B: 10ft before you can get to the pegs. Well, with those stations like
Speaker A: forest ranch has going up 32, they can do it from the control. They don't even got to go up there after a problem. The guy can reset it manually, Just go down in the hole. Or you can just call in and they can reset it. Yeah, pretty nice system. We're not connected to them over there. Right here along this facing of the canyon, we used to get our power from the forest ranch
Speaker B: side. They. They stopped doing that. It was pretty funny, too. Maybe they went back to it because you had power the other day and we didn't.
Speaker A: Oh, on the, on the breaker. Check.
Speaker B: Well, I'll let you get to it. I don't know what I'm gonna do first. I know the dog's been bugging me for 45 minutes to go outside, but I don't let her out until it's light 7:30 or so. Yeah. All right. So I haven't heard a single person key up since I checked out. So evidently after the John and Gary and Rob checked out and then I did,
Speaker A: my feelings aren't hurt anymore. Well, I don't let it
Speaker B: aggravate me or nothing but you know, some of them guys talk to me for an hour at different times. It's kind of two faced. So it's not that, it's not that I'm deeply hurt or anything, but I do notice it, you know. You know what the good book says about it. The majority of people there's referred to in parable as wheat in a field when the wind blows, everybody goes this way and then they go that way and everybody goes this way and that way and, and there's only a few people that stay to their morals. So you got to take in consideration if you got, if you got people that change in their minds for this reason and that reason. Some people refer to it as two faced but not, not what's actually happening here. They're just trying to stay in the clique and not make waves. So.
Speaker A: All right, very good, Mr. J. Enjoy.
Speaker B: Yeah, I don't feel like going down to John's but I'm gonna call him iPhone 16. Well, you were the first person I got a hold of, so you know, I'm working that, got the contacts, got the, got the favorites in there so I don't have to look through, go into the contact list and for the people I call the most and, and it's coming along now. I'm actually able to use it. Messages and all that good stuff. So far so good. The transformation hasn't been that tough. All right, I Got it on N6 NTM.
Speaker A: On frequency.
Speaker B: Run, everybody, run.
Speaker A: Yeah, you're getting some rain up there.
Speaker C: Yeah, you don't got to worry about water. And looks like we're gonna rain all day and into the. Yeah. And good morning.
Speaker A: Really, huh? I know it's been raining overnight. Sometimes a little bit harder down here. I figured it was raining at least some up there.
Speaker C: Yeah, I'm showing all day and I see some orange instead of just green. Closer to you than me, looks like it's going to go north.
Speaker D: Yeah. Over the last week, it's been a situation of too much water up there. Even at my place there snow on the ground pretty wet look, puddles around the shed there and everything. So yep, there was probably like 4 inches of snow on the ground at the most. And then all that had to melt at some point too. So I almost went up there yesterday, but then I got kind of involved in something else and ah, the heck with it, you know. Probably all still too wet
Speaker B: anyway.
Speaker C: Roger. Yeah. You guys got at least that down there. Shoot, I. We heard people in Chico say it snowing didn't stick, but nonetheless.
Speaker A: Yeah, I took a little when it was snowing here, so.
Speaker D: Yeah, it was. And they were real flakes of snow, but unfortunately. Unfortunately. But anyway, everything's still hot around here, so nothing was sticking.
Speaker A: And
Speaker D: I did that for like
Speaker A: maybe 15 minutes. I'd say.
Speaker B: Just enough to get you excited.
Speaker A: I wish I didn't have anything else to do. I'd run down to Yuba City and get one of them. Maddox Mr. 16 code reader. And I'm thinking I can wait until March 23rd. It's a long way, but I don't have any right away use for it. So I'm gonna keep waiting.
Speaker B: Yeah. So what do you need a code reader for? You got an automobile issue?
Speaker A: Not really, but the check engine light just came on in the. Of course it was low on coolant. I could still see it in the reservoir so it wasn't hurting it any. But I filled it up and it still didn't go away. And I thought just maybe I might have got some not very good depth. So it'd be nice to be able to actually see why that light's on. That would help. I could get the 14. They have it in stock right up here. But I don't think it does diesel. That's why I want that Mr. 16. It, it does diesel. What do you got planned for the day in the rain?
Speaker B: So when the light came on, was there any issue just receiving that like as you were driving kind of thing or just come on when you started it up One day, like example, some of my diesel trucks, you know, I might have like a misfire. You could feel, feel it as you're driving, you know, a little misfire light would come on but then it would all go away and straighten out, right?
Speaker A: Oh yeah, the ones that came on it, it's been on. So death is the only thing because you know, I had a tank out here, still had 250 gallons in it and I put it into 55 gallon drums so I could seal them up. And that other big tote, I'm not, I'm not satisfied that that's a airtight deal. Not to mention what might sit in the hose in the sun. Anyway, I put that in, I put that, some of that in the truck and it was shortly after that that I seen the light come on. It's still using def. I see the gauge go down. So I. The last few times I put them in, when it got down to half a tank, I got it at Pacific Pride. So if it was, that was the issue, it should have straightened out by now.
Speaker B: Yeah, but the code won't go away, right? They don't just go away. If it's something stored in there in a computer system, they got to be cleared out. You can even sometimes get a friend to do it or, you know, I don't know if It's a diesel, so it might make a difference. But sometimes you're thinking that the AutoZone or Raleigh type of places will check a code and clearance you. But I don't know if they'll do that on a diesel anyway. But yeah, if the computer is storing a code in there, you got to pull it out before it'll clear it off so you can at least look at what code it gave. But my thoughts anyway, but like on some of my diesel trucks, like I'd have a misfire, something like that. And so it would. You would want to make sure you knew what cylinder was misfiring on so that's why it was staying there. And you just have it looked at and say okay, it's a misfire on whatever cylinder seven or whatever. So then later on if you had to change, like a change something, you know, injector or something like that, you knew which one to go to. But you know, it might have just been a little bit of bad, bad fuel or something like you were saying. So anyway, that was just my thoughts. Anyway, good morning to you. Ken Fix mgk?
Speaker A: Yeah, my neighbor did. He brought his little code reader over, but it was, it's a real small one and he was able to clear it and make the light go out. But it what maybe a couple of days and it was back on again. So it's the same problem since then. I put more recent death in it. So I probably should just do that again, give it another try. Got the same thing in the vet. Got to put an O2 sensor. But you already heard that whole spew.
Speaker B: I don't think I did, but I probably heard maybe the tail end of something at some point in time. I don't know, something about cutting wires or something like that, which I don't know. I've always just bought the O2 sensor. You know what, I gotta say that over the years I've bought some stuff at like AutoZone and O'Reilly and for emissions and it's always failed me and I'll probably never want to do that again. Now I just go back and get the oem. Now I don't have to order it from the dealer, but I do order the right OEM sensors. It could be from Rock Auto or whatever, but I don't get like the dura last ones or whatever because that's what's giving me trouble. To the past.
Speaker A: Yeah, I got a Denso and I got it from Napa. And O2 sensors are basically O2 sensors. So you know, you got A signal wire. There's four wires. So there's a signal and a power and pcm. Yep. And two black wires, which is. Confused me. So it didn't matter anyway. A minus. And let me see, where's that other black wire Go to purple signal that, that threw me off right there. That mechanic from Just answer.
Speaker B: Yeah,
Speaker A: so I haven't even taken it out of the. I took it out of the box but I didn't open the wrapper. So I may just do that. Maybe I'll run over to the Chevy dealer. At least there should be a color for color. Tan, purple, brown and red. And the one that I bought, this Denzel right here has blue, white, black and black. That'll throw you off.
Speaker B: Yeah, well, I mean I, I definitely recommend buying something from oem even if it's ordered from like Rock Auto or whatever. You just to keep it simple. And Denville, if that's Nip and Denville, well that's a good, good Japanese company. So them right along with mga. I think they're sister companies or something anyway. But they generally make good products. But yeah, I don't know, I just. With emissions it was touchy, you know. You know, some of the stuff. Like the one thing I bought was the EGR valve on a Chevy 350. And I swear that Dura last one or whatever it was, I'm pretty sure it was Duralast. I can't remember right now because it's been quite a few years now. But anyway, I kept throwing codes, but still, you know, everything would be fine. But then it would throw a code. So everything was running good. But throw the code and that'll be enough to not pass an emissions test these days at one of those smog shop. So I said this is crazy. So I took it back off and ended up going to Witmire. And it was a gmc. No, no, not Whitmire. I'm sorry, courtesy. Because it was a GMC truck. And I went in there and showed the guy. A real nice guy too. Hey, this is what I'm looking for. And he looks it up on his microfiche or whatever at the time and he goes, yeah, this is. I can get it for you tomorrow. So come in at 8 o'. Clock. Okay. I paid like gosh, like $60 for me. It's like, you know, it was $20 AutoZone. You know, I'm like, holy crap. But you know, I put that on. I never had a bit of problem after that.
Yeah, if it was any other state. Maybe not any other state, but most other states that don't themselves with all these stupid emissions laws. You just run it, right? Sounds to me like so, yeah. I don't understand why we have to put up with this in California, but we do. I guess that's we pay the price for living here in the Golden State.
Well, I thought I heard j out here. N6wip are you out there? Well, okay. Seems I lost everyone. Kevin 6 MGK. I was going to make him some breakfast.
Speaker A: Yeah, I heard all that. I heard you on key as I was running down the hall, but I heard everything you said.
Speaker B: Oh, yeah. M6NT I'm back. I'm gonna go make some
Speaker C: breakfast anyway. Good morning, everyone out there. I'll be listening. K6MG.
Speaker A: Likewise. We're gonna go watch the Fulton Court case there. They're fighting, they got more than enough evidence and they're using bull poop excuses that there's not even legal to use to fight it so that they don't have to give up their election files and ballots. Yeah. All right. Enjoy breakfast. N6NTM
Speaker C: well, real quickly, I ended up getting rid of my DirecTV service. So what. What kind of service do you watch or how you watching your so called news and so on? I just put on a little quick antenna for TV here. So what are you using?
Speaker A: YouTube.
Speaker C: Okay, so you have the YouTube, what do you call it? The YouTube where you sign up, maybe it's like 80 bucks a month, but you get all these channels.
Speaker A: Yeah, Starlink.
Speaker C: Well, Starlink is just your Internet service, but you, you actually pay for YouTube, you know, subscription. It's not free. Right.
Speaker A: It's a free deal because what happens is Lori pays for a couple of, you know, like Hulu and HBO or whatever, and Trevor pays for a couple of them and then they swap passwords. So we don't pay for YouTube, but her son does.
Speaker C: Oh, okay. Yes. Sharing kind of a password. I was kind of doing that with my sister for a while, but they caught on to it eventually.
Speaker B: Ks, yeah,
Speaker C: because it would be nice to get Fox News back somehow, but yeah, I don't have that ability out there. All right, that's cool. Catch up with you later then. 73.
Speaker A: Check Anticsentium.
Speaker A: Hearing that, of course, the women's USA Talkie hockey team to claim the invite. But the men's,
Speaker B: I think he's going to bring the whole
Speaker A: team in. But it reminds me of the women's soccer teams,
Speaker B: you know, seem to have a problem, but this one doesn't seem like they've stated that they don't like Trump. They're using other excuses, but we know
Speaker A: what their game is. Yep. Anyway, as far as the
Speaker B: politics are concerned, if I was invited to something like that, you know, for the president of the United States, it would be an honor. Right. So you just go do it and. And you're tactful about it and you're supporting America. That's what it's about. So when you don't want to do something like that, then that doesn't make me feel good. Instead.
Three times. So it was pretty good. My wife wanted to see it once. That's why I say three times.
Speaker A: What you got going on. Okay. Yeah. And so do you have a place up there to return it up by? Character Supply? Is that what you're doing, Steve?
Speaker B: Place. And after the fire, he cut and run. He moved to, like, Tennessee. I don't think there's any UPS store there anymore.
Over here. They made it more difficult. They made it more difficult to return Amazon stuff than it used to be. I used to be able to just go in there with my phone, the screenshot of the tag, and they could scan it and print out the little tag and put it on the parcel and it'd be out of here. That was simple and easy. And what they made me do is I had to go back, and I actually had to go someplace at the printer, print something out and then attach it. Then I could go back. So it was a picture. Amazon's making it more of a.
Well, down here in Chico, they didn't care what size it was. They changed. I mean, it used to be like what J. Told said. I'll just go in there with my printed label thing, whatever, and they could just, you know, scan it and they would print out a label and stick it to the item and it'd be out of here. And actually, I'd get it credited on my account almost immediately. So that was nice. But, yeah, they changed it to be like you say, you almost gotta. I don't own a printer. Haven't owned one for a decade, but, yeah. So to find a way to get a printed copy. So then brought it back and it got built in, but it was a pain in the neck compared to how it was.
Up and down a bit like as you're mobile, you know, just like when I talk when I'm mobile. I'm sure.
