N6ntm all right, let me see what's going on here this morning. Everybody likes to know. And maybe not 52 degrees. Same thing as at about 5:00 o' clock in the morning, the start of yet another beautiful day. Looks like it ought to stop raining about 11 o'. Clock, but it's going to be cloudy all day. Oh yeah, and let me see, Thursday looks like 9am. Sunny, sunny, Sunny, sunny from 9am to 11am how could that be?

Seven o'. Clock. It's Wednesday. Jay should be out of bed by now.

Speaker A: All right, I'm back. Damn. Nothing's going on here. Not really, anyway. Got up this morning, the house was warm. Still haven't had to put wood on there. I'm going to start cutting my firewood that way. Eight inch tall piece. Don't split it. Just put the whole round in there sideways. Wood burns a lot longer if you go with the grain instead of traditional way against the
Speaker B: grain. It burns up too fast. Oh, yeah, and less.
Speaker A: So you can stack one on top of the other. No, I just on the rounds that are that big around, you know, if you're limb wood and. And you know, if it's up to 12 inches across, then you got to make more cuts. If you want 8 inches instead of 15s or 17s.

I tried to sneak into the bathroom, but I didn't hear all of it.

Speaker A: Yep. I got a pile of laundry sitting on the floor. Lori washed it this
Speaker B: morning.
Speaker A: I
Speaker B: think she does that to get me out of bed.
Speaker C: Yeah, we do that on Saturday mornings.
Speaker A: When that. And this washing machine's got the fastest spin cycle I have ever heard. Sounds to me like the back bearing needs to get greased or replaced. So that, that's the only thing I got on the agenda. I could finish the air box. We'll see. I've been putting that off. I did mount, I did mount your thermostat control on there. I just got one more pipe to glue in there and then drill a hole for the, for the tube coming out of the box. Actually, I only have two and I'm debating, I'm. I'm going through a change up. I'd like to have 12 inch pipe coming out of that air box. Did you hear me talking, telling Terry this morning? I didn't want to argue with Larry. I just don't talk to him because he has the same argument about the air box and too much trouble. And it's easier just to put a new fan in it. But Terry stepped in for me and said they haven't made fans for that for the alpha units in over 10 years. So there isn't any to just go buy. Plus you have to unsolder at least three flat wire, you know, quarter inch wide. Ribbon, not wire. It's not flex, it's. It's tin or whatever it is silver from the inductor, you know, and that changes, that changes how it tunes itself. Yeah, I know it doesn't tune itself, but that changes the tuning and I don't want to screw it up. So this is a way to get around that. If I could get the stock fan. I've been wanting to do an air box for a long time. I'm thinking about running a 2 inch pipe out of the air box up and along the back of the bench in the L shape right there. So if I want to get air to anything, I just drill the size of hole. I need air off that tube, you know,
Speaker C: then I don't have four
Speaker A: 1 inch tubes which by the time you get the thickness of the tube, it's almost two inches. It's an inch and three quarters on the outside of that clear tubing.

I know. Yeah. Hardly anybody comes over anymore. Yeah. And then you damn near got to help them out of their seat to get them to leave. Well, they shipped, they shipped the 150 yesterday and I don't know if it's coming from Amazon or not, but it is in route. And guess what? I sent back that 120. Of course, you know that yesterday. So I don't have anything right now. I actually have. I actually have the, the one that you saw here, the 150 manual pull down, but the one with the electric motors and all that in it. Trevor is going to be here on Wednesday next week, so hopefully it gets here and I can get it up so he can see that mammoth dog. So check this out. I was looking on Amazon yesterday and I seen these brackets that you bolt to the wall that hold the screen out away from the wall up to 12 inches. They got a six inch bracket. They bolt it right to the stud so. Or you can just bolt it to the ceiling and let it hang down. But then I'll lose six inches. Plus the, plus the unit. The unit. And you know that that pull down model's got a relatively small box around it. The electric one is twice the size so I don't know if I can afford to give up six inches from the roof. And I tried putting the projector behind the couch and it's not happy with it. 13, 13 and a couple inches is the furthest they want the projector from the screen. You can put it as close as. You can put it as close as 3ft but. And not more than 13ft which will work good in the RV. But. Yeah, I wish I had a research that part of it better. I would have loved to put it in the cabinet behind the back wall. I moved the couch back three feet. Front room is huge now, but that's where I'm at anyway. So it looks like I'm stuck with the projector being in front of the couch. I haven't even read the book yet and you could be right. But I put it back on the subwoofer which is about what, a little more than four feet high? That'll. That'll ask. The projector will actually clear me sitting at head height so it won't be a part of the picture if it's behind you. And it kept sniveling about the auto focus thing. So they call it something else. Spatula or whatever. So anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I almost ordered another stand screen but. But the 200 inch and I should probably Go with the full full screen. But I'll have to measure the garage door in case we ever do any outside stuff in the summertime at night. Then I could really play with the. Just a bummer to buy a screen only to return it if it doesn't work. Since I already did that once, I really don't want to keep doing that to them. But if it was outside that would really give you a better. A better shot at it. I think the 150 is plenty big for the front room though and. And that's just going to come down out of the ceiling so it won't be in the way all the. So I was going to send you these things soon as I find them. Should be right here. I'm going to back up and I'll send you these things. I could just go down to the metal shop and I could. I could go down to the metal shop and. Oh, I can't find it. I can't find those brackets now or otherwise. I'd send it to you, see how to show you how those work. Pretty. Pretty good actually. Oh, found them. I'll send it to you. Pictures worth a thousand words. 12 inch and 6 inch and they're cheap. 22 bucks. Nicely made. Adjustable. Yeah, to those end things. But you know what? Somehow I know I look for videos and couldn't find it like that. Pull down one. It's only attached on the ends and that's what these brackets are for. I'm pretty sure that next one is going to be. You have to screw the box and then put the whole mechanism and screen up inside the box. In that case I can hit all the studs. At least two in the middle somewhere.

I don't think any of them do. It's not smart. I watched two video. I mean, I. I read lots of reviews, and two reviews, the person didn't like how slow it went up. And I watched a video of how fast it does go up. There's nothing fast about it, but it's not that slow either.

Speaker A: Well, we got a new update on the Apple phone. You'll probably like that. Okay, here's this. Ad. Yeah. So see if it did it and then I'll send this to you. Keep original size. There it is.
Speaker B: And it's coming at you. Yeah, I told
Speaker A: you about that. I, I told you what to click in there. There's two of them on YouTube. One's a little more in depth. So it tells you exactly how they get inside your phone. And you can see how easy that is. Say you're sitting down at Starbucks and some guy sits behind you and you got your phone in that deal. He, he could pitch that same little thing to you to get your phone to come on. You'd click on that and have second. But. And you know, we don't have anything to hide for the most part. So, you know, most people don't give a poop, but it could be detrimental when it comes to an officer like that. That one video I watched, he was asking the chick he just pulled over, where are you coming from? And they were in a high dope area. See? And so if you think the cops being a weirdo, you just got to keep him in his, his own lane. You can ask me questions about the pulling over or anything to do with this, the ticket that you haven't written me yet, but otherwise I don't answer any questions and I don't agree to searches, so can I leave? That's what. Those are the key things. I don't answer questions outside the scope of being pulled over. And, and I don't allow searches. You need a warrant for that, and that shortens up the amount of time. And that's supposed to shut them down about peen in your phone and looking at what they can see on your phone too, telling them I don't answer questions, that you're pretty much invoking your fifth amendment and so they shouldn't gather information. But that video, if you watch the same one I did, says as long as your phone's casting it, you're giving them permission.

Speaker A: Yeah, never, never click on none of those apps that says always on. You always want to put only when in use, only when you're using the apps that they have permission. So yeah, do, do, do. Otherwise there is the inconvenience factor which is that you have to go to settings. If you do want to use your GPS to go someplace, then it then it's collected information that can be transmitted if the cop knows how to do it. And believe me, it just hasn't caught on yet. They you know how I found that stuff? It's because I was looking at that iPhone 17 and that's where I found about those things that are
Speaker B: happening nowadays. I wasn't clear
Speaker A: on that, but I did read that or I mean I heard it and I would and I was still memorizing the other five things that you got to do five times. Then how do you unlock that.

I watched a video yesterday where they caught that chick, a little overweight, highway patrol, breaking the law. And then she got caught lying about it. Said there wasn't any video and there was and. Yeah, so she resigned after the program was over. At the very end, the guy came on saying that that officer had resigned as of 2024 or whatever. And all those incidents were being reported about since 9. Yeah, 2022. Is that the one you watched?

Nope. They took that away from them to security clearance. And so when you go apply at another police report department or whatever, they'll see that. So, you know, at least when it comes to cops, Jay, they do look into your background. Hell, they put you through a psych test. So if you can't get past that and your past history, you ain't gonna be a cop anyway. And I agree with you. All these politicians getting a slap on the wrist. Wrist? That's bullshit. They should be held, if anything, to a higher standard. A higher standard than regular citizens.

Speaker A: As soon as I detect that, I request another officer and then I cooperate a little more fully with the second officer. I'm still standing on my ground. Don't. Don't try to play games on me. Otherwise there'll be two of you. And when there's two of them, and if they're good buddies, it doesn't do you a bit of good at all. But if, if they're not, you got a chance. Because the other cop's not gonna pull hunky dory semi getting by stuff because his, his name's on the line too. So I've had good luck with that. That and the fact that letting them know that, hey, I filled out lots of Ritza habeas corpuses, that stays on their record forever. So I've had that work for me and against me. So I went to jail on one of those. And when I got to the jail, I requested a writ of habeas corpus, but they wouldn't deliver it. So your rights go away when you're in the jail, at least while you're there. So no big deal. I filled one out on them when I got out. Down to the courthouse, get the paperwork. Fill it
Speaker B: out, guy. Remember you forever. Well, they put that 14 switching
Speaker A: gears. They put that 14 instead of the 16, the one I want for $199. And I couldn't find where that one. They left out diesel just like they did on the 16 there. It just says what the 16 says. It doesn't actually say diesel. If that 14 did diesel, I might settle for that. But right now I don't mind waiting. I know I'll kick myself in the butt if I settle for a 14
Speaker B: when that 16 is just around the corner. That end up costing you
Speaker A: 300 bucks. Well actually the truck gets better fuel mileage than that. I'll be right back. I gotta let the dog out. Man, this dog is. She's got a built in clock that don't stop. She knows I don't let her out till 7, 30, 7, 28. She's sitting right here looking up at me like it's time.

All right, one last question. So how many. How many feet of snow have you seen on top of that rv?

Speaker A: Oh yeah, I wouldn't trust it with six feet. I'd already been pulling it down the road. But if they're six feet, you ain't going to tow it anyway. Well, I'll play it safe. I'm going to build a thing this summer for it anyway. I just soon have
Speaker B: a real roof over. They match them up with the
Speaker A: Airstream, a similar model. It wasn't a applin, but yeah, it's up there. See the Airstream, if they don't put solar panels in those self retracting awnings and, and all the other stuff, you can put the Starlink thing and all that stuff. If you clutter up the roof too much on a, on an Airstream, you don't get the benefit of the rounded roof and the snow sliding off. But yeah, most people that buy those got a place to put them anyway. You don't see those sitting out in somebody's yard all year round. Not Rod, not very often anyway. And I've seen some, I've seen some air streams that definitely came out of the early 60s, maybe late
Speaker B: 50s that were still working. They. Wait, they weigh too much.
Speaker A: Jay. Two axle, £8,000. No way. I like this deal here. You don't even know this thing's behind you. All right, I talked your ear off enough for this morning. I think I'll go catch up on the news a little bit. I gotta call John too. I don't feel like going down there today, but I probably will go down there tomorrow, maybe go eat breakfast with you or something. And I probably should do that today and go down there after
Speaker B: breakfast tomorrow. I don't know if that
Speaker A: £8,600 is all ready to go with water and all that stuff and every, all your junk in it. I'll bet you that's just a dry weight. 8,600. That's a lot of tire squish. Watch the thing too, where they put 16 inch rims on it. They thought that made a little difference. Yeah.
Speaker B: All right, very good. N6
Speaker A: NTM.

Speaker A: Well, got
Speaker B: any suggestions? N6wip? N6ntm. I don't think
Speaker A: I did hear it ring. I have heard it ring before, but I sure couldn't hear you. Were
Speaker B: you hearing me? So here we go. Apple iPhones. I don't know what changed with it. Try it again. I had it in my hand, so. Nope, it's not ringing on my end.
Speaker A: Yeah, the face lights up and it looks like I'm. You're hearing me now?
Speaker B: Nope. No, I'm not hearing you. No. Are you hearing me? And I see the
Speaker A: little bar. I see the little bar on the left side of this screen when I push the up and down button on the left side.

Speaker A: I'm just in settings right now. I'm looking for anything that pertains to the volume. I don't see it Transport or reset. IPhone. So they did an update last night so things probably have changed.
Speaker B: Everything but voice,
Speaker A: language, religion, keyboard, fonts, dictionary, date and time, background app fresh auto fill and password screen capture, picture to picture airplay and continuity and airdrop iPhone storage software update.
Speaker B: I give up. Double. No. None of that's been turned on for a long time. I'll go to speaker. Try it now.
Speaker A: Yeah, but I got to turn the speaker on to hear you but at least
Speaker B: I know to do that. Well on
Speaker C: the side of the phone there should be a couple of buttons to go up and down with.
Speaker A: Yeah and I could see it going up and down and I definitely had it on full blast so there's something else in there. I see the mute thing 5v3
Speaker B: that ain't on.

Okay. Just now, Ron tried to call me, and it wasn't ringing out loud, so I'll go find that. I'll go look for that in Settings, under sound and all that.

Speaker A: It's working. Good. Now, John called me, and I'm waiting for the sheriff's department to call me, but. Yeah, we got it. N6WIP. N6NTM just letting you
Speaker B: know. Thanks for your help. Yeah, I'm catching on to it
Speaker A: pretty fast. It's. It's similar enough to Android. It's not a big deal. Yeah, I think that's all I got for you. Oh. So tomorrow you go down to Chico. All right, well, I'll go. I'll go over to John's after breakfast if you're gonna go to Thunder. All right, well, I'll talk to you early in the morning, so I. We leave about the same time.
Speaker B: N6 NTM.
