Af6ncx. Monitoring. Kr6mcx. This is k6jb. Yeah, hi, Greg. This is Larry. Are we planning to have a net tonight? I was thinking so, but I don't have the list of who's supposed to do which night. Do you have that list? Not sure who's supposed to do it. I know I do it the second Tuesday of the month. This is the first Tuesday. But I guess I could go ahead and start doing it. I was thinking it was either Jim or. I'm drawing a blank right now. The fellow from Glenn county. On the fourth night. Sorry about that. I'm having a senior moment. Okay, well, why don't I go ahead and try to run it? Or run it. I've got the script here before me and. Just go ahead. QST, QST, QST. This is Larry, KF6NCX, located in Chico, your net control station for tonight's Golden Empire Amateur Radio Society Club Net. This net beats every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm on the W6RHC repeater. For the purpose of fellowship and public service through amateur radio. Is there any station with emergency or priority traffic? Are there any general announcements for the net? Do you have an announcement for the net? Please respond with your call sign. Okay, it's time for roll call and check ins. When checking in, please give your call sign name and location. Please key up for a full second before speaking due to the repeater lag time. Just give me one second here. I gotta take care of one little thing here so we can do the roll call. Just please hang on for a second.

Okay, I'm back. We'll start with kn6pww, Jamie. K6est, Kg6 kuo, Lester. This is kg6 ko Lester in Willows. And I gonna have to say I'm gonna be in and out tonight because I've got another job I'm working in. Okay, well, thanks for checking in, Lester, and I'm sorry that I forgot your name earlier. Please accept my apologies. Getting old here. Next is kf6ncx. That's me, Larry and Chico. And I'm doing the the net tonight being net control. How about W6JF. And 6QXL? KN 6QXL. Daryl, Butte Valley. K7 KFS. 86 Lok. Good evening, Larry and the net. Kilo Delta 6 Lima, Oscar Kilo Doug here on Dry Nimshu Ridge tonight. Thanks for picking the Net up, Larry. We do appreciate it. I have a question for the board. How do we get a spot on the web page to pay my dues? That's about it. Happy holidays, everyone. 73, Katie 6lok. Okay, thanks, Doug. Are you asking how we put something. We should put something on the net on the website saying how you pay your dues? That's what I'm asking. I'm not a PayPal fan, but I know a couple of other groups that I do belong to use a PayPal anyway and I get a receipt from PayPal even though they say that you're not using PayPal directly. So I know it's possible, I just don't know how to do it and I'd like to pay my dues. Okay, well, we appreciate you wanting to pay your dues and I'll. I'll get a message to the powers that be about putting something on there. I think one way to pay the dues and the way I do it, I didn't fool around with PayPal. I just sent a check for $20 to do made out to Gears and sent it to Jim, the treasurer and I think our address is on the website. But you've got a good point. There should be something on there informing everybody about how to pay dues. So I'll get the word to the president and so forth. Thank you. Thank you. Last year I actually got a hold of Jim and he made a phone call to him and we did it over the. Over the phone. But if it if there was a link to the. To a spot on the web page, it would make it easier. Katie6lok. Right? Oh, good. Good suggestion. Good suggestion, Doug. I'll pass it along. About N60 UK. Well, good evening. Good evening to you. Internet. I just kind of caught me off guard here. I had the volume down. I thought I heard somebody talking. It was. Was dug there, so I turned the volume up. Anyway, just check me in and out. You guys have a good net seven three, everybody. 60 UK corn. Thanks, Clarence. Thanks for the check in and we appreciate it. You have a good evening. K6 gab. Hey, good evening. This is k6 jb. We're expecting rain tomorrow. Yuck. Everybody have a great day. Okay, thanks, Scott. Thanks for the check in. Too bad about the rain. I agree with you. You have a good evening. Kj6 we x. Aj6wv. Aj6wb can enduro. Sorry, was that. Was that you, Ken? AJ6WV. That's me. AJ6WB can endurham. Okay, thanks, Ken. Are you gonna be with us tonight or should I check you in and out? In and out is the right answer. Thank you. Have a good evening. Okay, you have a good evening too. Thanks for the check in. How about kn6kwm? Kn6kwm. Dan denim, biggs. I'll be in and out. Okay, thank you, dan. Thanks for the check in. You have a good night. Six jlx. Last on our list is ko6kkw. Okay, that's the regular list here. Are there any late members or visitors who want to check in? KN6PJU. Matt from Chicago, KN6PJU. Can I get your name? Dennis W. KN6PJU. And I'm sorry, it looks like I doubled with Matt. So Matt's trying to get into. Okay, And Dennis, are you gonna be with us tonight or are you in and out? In and out. I'm switching over to the GMRS net in a few minutes. Okay, thanks for the check in and have a good net on gmrf. Okay. And the other station that tried to check in? Yeah, this is K06L U M Matt from Chico. Ko6l u m. Thanks Matt, for the check in. Will you be in and out or you're going to be with us? I'll be with you tonight until close to that 8 o' clock time when the GMRS net is going to be up. Okay, well thanks for the. Thanks for the check in. That's everyone, I think. So now it's time for the swap segment. If you have a ham radio related item to sell, trade giveaway or that you want, please respond with your call sign. Okay, go ahead. K6 Gab Greg, what do you got there? So I'm actually doing kind of an early spring cleaning. I've got a number of items including a true SDX, one of the little QRP radios. I've got a 30amp, 12 volt power supply. I've got FT60R handheld and a couple of mobiles. The details are all on my website is k6gab.com and you can send me an email at k6gaboutlook.com if you. If you're interested in your question. Okay, great. It's all on your website, k6gab.com all right, thanks Greg. If people know where to go to look for what you've got available there. Sounds good. Anyone else with anything to for the swap segment? Okay, well, before we start the roundtable, would anyone else like to check in. K7kss? Kevin and Chico? And I'm in and out, Larry. Thank you. Okay, thanks Kevin. Good to hear from you. You have a good evening. Anybody else wanting to check in? Members, visitors, anyone? K6YLH mobile in Santa Cruz? K6YLH mobile. Good evening. J Evan, are you gonna be around for the net or are you just checking in and out? I'll be around. Okay, good deal. Thanks for the check in. All right, well let's go ahead and do the roundtable. Maybe I'll start with Matt Ko6L U M since he wants to break away and get on that other net. How are you doing, Matt? What do you, what have you been up to and what do you got for the net? Thanks. I'm a new technician license as of basically the start of the new year and years a few days ago. So just excited to learn and participate whenever I can. Well, that's great. That's the good spirit. And where are you living specifically in town here in Chico, Is that what you're asking? Yeah, that's what I meant. Usually when or at some point here we give our location. So that would be Chico. Okay, thanks Very much, and thanks. Good luck to you. And we'll look forward to meeting you at the next year's meeting later this month, if you can make it. Welcome. Have a good evening. And going down the list here, KN6QXL, you're up next, I believe. Thank you, Larry. K and 6QXL, we are going to do a poda in January on the 24th at the Four Bay. I'm gonna say 2 o' clock or 1400 with the board meeting, we decided we'd go ahead and give it a try and see how it works out. So that's the information I had for the group. Thank you. Hey, thanks, Darrell. That's good to know. Around 2pm on the 20 at the four bay. Well, that should be fun. That's a good location. Good to hear that. K6G, a B, you're up next. Greg, you have any more for us? Yeah, I was going to say that. I know that Gears has also got an account with a different credit card processor. So people don't want to interact with PayPal. If they send an email to gears.w6rhcmail.com they ought to be able to get in touch with Jim, who should be able to facilitate doing the credit card the other way around. The other thing, I had a nice trip up to paradise on Saturday, other than the rain. They had a yagi antenna build, and I learned how to build an antenna out of PVT pipe and an old tape measure. So that was pretty cool. And that's pretty much what I'm up to this week. Okay, well, good deal. Good to hear about. Good to hear that information on how to get in touch with Jim and the event in Paradise. Sounds. Sounds good. What kind of a yaggy did you guys make? Is it for VHF? Yeah, everybody was building a VHS, you know, centered right around 145, 146 megahertz. You know, they could be doing them for other frequencies, too, but that's where we started. Well, that sounds pretty cool. Making it out of. It's actually made out of a tape measure, huh? Yeah. We cut up the tape measure blade and the, you know, precise length and mounted them at specific spots on the PVC pipes. And none. It really worked out pretty well. Somebody brought up a device to check them out, and everybody that did the ore came out pretty good. We have to do some soldering to connect the lengths of tape measure. Yeah, the driven element had a little gap in between it that needed to be joined with a hairpin. And then that's where the two terminals for the antenna connection also went so there was a little bit of soldering but it wasn't bad. It sounds like a great project. Thanks for the information. Good deal. Okay, next is KC6UFE. KC6UFE bill in Cape Good evening everyone. Well looks like major portion of the rain is over and the river is going to start coming down this evening and get down below the flood stage. The dips flooded and they're coming down and so hopefully everything will get back to normal and nothing really major in the future proposed yet but it's coming for sure. We've got a melt off coming, you know the spring melt and all that good stuff. And also we lost a couple of good people this just recently. One of them was our congressional representative for the area Douglas Malfa passed away and the other was a guy named Ron Thomas out of Gridley, WB6IAG just recently passed. He was in his 90s so he was quite a an amateur radio personality. He'll be missing not much else. Back to you Larry. KC6UFE okay, thanks Bill. Thanks for the information in the comments. Yeah, it'll be good to have things get back to normal weather wise. The the creeks are really running high that's for sure. How about k6ylh mobile in santa cruz? Yeah, good evening, this is YLH Mobile coming to the repeater via Echolink and just driving home from work. Glad to be able to join the net. Been doing a little operating, did a bit of the ARRL ready roundup over the weekend and looking forward to the North American Cuso party VW this upcoming weekend. So some good contests that conditions have been good. So that's about it from me. I'll wish everyone A good evening and 73 from okay, thanks Jevin. Good to hear from you on the road down there. You have a good evening. Well last on the list is me, kf6ncx net command.

For tonight, I've been playing around with this month long special event called Straight Key Month. Where a bunch of people have been designated as special event stations. They get on the air and call CQ and the rest of us who are participating try to work them. It's been pretty good. The bands have been decent. And mostly when I get on, I can usually find somebody who's calling cq. It's not always easy to work them because there's often a number of people trying to work them at the same time. So I have to wait my turn or try to sneak in there. But it's been fun. I've been having a good time with that. Well, that's about it for me and looks like about it for the Net. Is there anybody else who wants to check in? Anybody at all? Please come with your call sign now if you're out there wanting to check in. Okay, it looks like we've exhausted everybody, if that's the right term to use. I hope you're not too exhausted. And if no one has anything else to say. Anybody have any additional comments? Anyone want to make a remark or anything? Just now's your chance. Okay, nothing hurt. So we'll close down the Net for this week. This concludes this week's Golden Empire Amateur Radio Society Club Net. Thank you to everyone who checked in tonight. You're invited back next week. This is Larry KFC6NCX returning the W6RHC repeater to its normal monitoring service. The Net is closed at 7:58pM73 to all KF6 NCX is clear.
