Now this net meets each and every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm right here on the W6RHC repeater for the purpose of fellowship through Amateur radio. Is there any emergency or priority traffic? All right, general announcements. We had the GEARS meeting last night and Chris is our new club president. He did a pretty good job with it if you ask me. We had an interesting presentation about, about HAM radio and, and the, and the kids. So is there any other announcements for the net? Please just come with your call sign. KN6PWW. Go ahead, Jamie. I'd like to remind you all that there is CW class tomorrow at the Golden Beaver still house. I believe that's 2420 Park Ave. Here in Chico. That's at 6pm and show up. Looks like I've been coerced to show up again. So anyway, go there. Folks that have been attending consistently, I know, are all making CW contact. That's it for me. K6PWW. Jamie, where is Winterfield Day and POTA? Good one. Winter Field Day is going to be this weekend, Saturday and Sunday. We're combining that with our monthly poda. That will be at the Thermalito forebay in. I believe that's off Gardner Lane in Oroville. You should see it as you drive in the forebay. It is directly to the right as you're coming in the entrance. So yep, it's pretty much all day both days. I am only going to be there Sunday but I know there's going to be a good contingent on both days. Thank you very much. So Winterfield Day this Saturday, Sunday at the Thermolito Forpe. Are there any other announcements for the net W6Js? Tom, Amy, you're picking a good time. It's supposed to get down Sunday to 36 degrees in the morning, so. Oh boy. Just a reminder, testing coming up not this Sunday, but the next Sunday. Any need anybody needs an upgrade or. I know we got a few people lined up and so see you there at the oaks Lodge at 2 o'. Clock. Thank you, tom. Anybody else? All right, let's. Let's do roll call and check ins. Thank you very much for the check in. Doug. Yeah, for the poda, the library does have a limited number, like maybe one or two day passes to get into the, into the state parks. But I've never inquired about how many they have or how easy they are to get. So if you want to try that and assuming you have a library card, my call ahead and call the front desk and ask them the the situation. Thank you, Doug. N60 UK. Clarence and Porn. So if you want to go that way, get a hold of. All right, thank you, Jamie. Anybody else? All right, let's do the roundtable. Jamie, anything else to add? KN60WW here, you know, not really, but I would like to thank Chris for being president and for really a very good meeting last night. I like the additions to the meeting. Good stuff. Really good turnout last night as well. And that's about it for me. K6KWW. Thank you very much, Jamie. This is Jim, K6EST calling role and I don't have anything to add so let's go to Larry, KF6NCX. Good evening, Jim. And this is Larry, KF6NCX in Chico. Well, I've been hearing about a solar storm that's had an impact on us and I think I might have experienced it today. Got on the radio, I think it was about 11 or so and gee, I didn't hear any stations on any of the bands and a friend of mine said he got on, he tried transmitting about that same time on 40 and 20 and didn't see anything on the reverse beacon network. I did hear about an hour later a couple of stations on 15 meters and one of them was taking part in that straight key month special event that's been going on all, all this month. Try to work special event stations on using your straight key. And I worked this guy in Ohio, he was in eight land, had a, had an aid in his call sign wanted to. The aims of this event is to try to get a sweep by working someone in each of those 10 fall areas. I had already worked someone in a. So that didn't help me. But with, with another week or so left I've got, I still need to get someone in the one fall area and someone in the five hall area. So I'm hoping that happens before the end of the month. That's about it for me. This is Larry kfxncs. Back to you Jim. Thank you very much Larry. Yeah, some people were getting seeing the Aurora. I saw some pictures on Facebook this morning. People went up to the lookout on the skyway and other places and we're able to see the Aurora from this area. So that's pretty, pretty interesting. Tom W6js I had a couple things. It was a very very good meeting and Jamie will always be my president. He'd done a wonderful job for the last two sessions. Hope Jamie don't get a big jack in a box head but we're in good hands now I believe. Anyway, we had two ladies, Rose Marie which is going to need a little mentoring to understand even what ham radio is. But the other lady, I didn't quite catch her name but I asked her a couple questions and I asked her why do you want who a ham and boy she hit it right on Amazon to increase her get her mind working so she, she's gonna make a good hand but we got to get her away from Orville. She wants to take the test or come to Orville or something so maybe we can swing her over to our club but I, I think she'll still gobble up the information and get her ham license real easy. Other than that Jim, I'll take care of you in a moment morning and take your car to get it serviced so just give me a time. All right Then I'll pick you up too and drop you off. So just tell me what time I owe that to you. This is Tom W6JS thank you very much Tom. Except it's, it's going to be Friday but I will give you a call and let you know as soon as I know the appointment time. Thank you very much. See Bill in Cape K6KC6UFE. Billing Cafe Good evening to group. Yeah, rough copy. Rough operating conditions since Sunday. Up and down that's for sure and we're right in the bullseye. Hopefully things will calm down before the weekend. So there's the skies out for winter field day. I'm going to operate from the home QTH where it's nice and warm and I'm not really interested in operating photo so I'll leave that up to the rest of you guys. Other than that 73 to the group. Back to you Jim K6UFE. Thank you very much Bill. And that is the list as I have it. Do we have any, any late check ins or anybody else come now with your call sign. Any additional comments before we close the net? Come with your call sign. All right, then. Then. This is Jim K6 EST closing the net at 740pm you're of course, invited back next week. 73s to all in.
