I've got a couple of other radios for sale there on my website, k6gab.com and if that sounds interest, interesting, my phone is 530-228-9772. Thanks. All right, thank you very much. Anyone else? Okay, well then let's go ahead. Back with the the combo catch back now. KN6PWW, Kg 6 kuos next, I guess. And I don't have anything to say except we're starting to get rain over here and all you guys up in the mountains, I hope you're getting snow. KO6NCX, Larry. Yeah, this is Larry, KF6NCX. Well, it started raining a little while ago. I guess I went into the garage and heard this funny noise, opened the door and it was coming down pretty good. I guess the forecasters did predict something like that. So they were on the money. I had a good radio weekend. Did some Winterfield Day from home which was fun and participated in the CQ Worldwide 160 meter contest for a couple hours and I think I made about 40 cusos which was pretty good for me for 160 and got some, some good distance. Actually worked Hawaii and the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean and got a couple of states on the east coast so, so that was, was pretty good. Also I've been trying my hand at Straight Key Month which is this special event sponsored by the Straight Key Century Club. And it goes has gone all month and I guess it ends on Friday. And I've been trying to get a sweep of all the working someone in each of the 10 call areas had them all except for one and number one area kept eluding me. I checked the Reverse Beacon Network and all. He'd have just gone off the air you know, 10 minutes before or two hours before. But then Monday morning Reverse Beacon Network said he was on 10 meters and I went to where he was supposed to be and there he was good and strong. So I worked him and satisfaction to wrap that up. So that was a fun, fun event. I'll look forward to it next year. Okay, back to you Lester. This is Larry, KF6NCX. All right Larry, you sound like you've been busy. By the way, thank you for mitching. Thank you for mentioning your garage. I need to get up after the net and go close my garage. Bill K of 6kg KC6UFE D6UFE Bill and Cape. Good evening to the group. Had a good weekend too. I did a little winter field day work here at the home qth. Made a few contacts. Listened for Gears out there. Never heard anybody from Gears or Gars. I know they were operating though so. But I did make a quite the Hail Mary into Antarctica that was kind of Fun on the 20 meter band. Got some guys down there, nothing to do but play with radio so I gave him a shout. Not much else, just good evening to everybody. KC6UFE hey Bill, you're always got some interesting context there. Thank you, Jim. Tom W6JS well good evening Lester. This is Tom W6JS Jamie kind of told what what I was going to say but I'm going to add two it the new hamster I call it is coming out in July and it's going to be tougher. So anybody who needs a technician test got to do between now and then because it's going to get tougher. This is Tom W6JS okay Tom, thank you very much. Greg K6 Gabriel hey, just thought I'd have a good time this weekend doing winter Field Day Saturday I had some family stuff in the morning but in the afternoon I Went out to the Gard location at a crizzy flat at Blackfeet Lake, and we had a nice afternoon. And then Sunday morning, I went down and did the Kears Winterfield Day with Chris. We had a nice morning, making some good contacts. Chris was doing pw and I was doing phone. That was a good time. I'm gonna break for a second for. Okay. The other half of my message this evening was I was curious if anybody who's listening has the password for the cures. W6RHC. POTA account. There is an account on the POTA site for W6RHC. And when I was operating, I was operating with the club call sign. So if I want to upload my activity for pota, I need to do it with the club account. So if somebody out there has got the password, if you could let me know and we can coordinate and get my stuff uploaded, that's it for me. All right. This is kg6ko. Does anyone have an answer for you? 6 ncx, go ahead. Hi, Greg. Yeah, I'm the one who set up that account. I'll look around here and see if I can find the password. I hopefully wrote it down somewhere and I'll let you know. Okay, back to you, Lester. All right, thank you. That's the role, and I have it. And that's all. Check back. So do we have anybody wanting to check in or anything they want to talk about before we close? KF6NCX, Go ahead. I'd like to hear a little bit more about Bill's Antarctica Q. So that's. That's pretty interesting. And just as a sidelight, I don't know if what he did has anything to do with this, but I was reading, I was checking the ARRL's list of special events, and they had one coming up. Could have been this week called Antarctic Activity Day or Activity Week, something like that. And I tried to look into it, but couldn't find out anything about it. So, anyway, maybe Bill can elaborate a little bit. That's pretty interesting. Don't hear about people working Antarctica that much. At least I don't. Okay, back to you, Lester. All right, Larry, thank you. Bill, you have anything to add? Sure. KC6UFE. Well, let's see. Their call sign was Lima Zulu 0 Alpha. Bulgarian Antarctica Expedition to a place called South Shetland Islands, which is kind of like the northern tip the of Antarctica, if you can believe that. Anyway, they were just down there shouting CQ and then passing out call signs. So I gave them a response. I think they're still there. I don't know if they're associated with the ARRL project, but, hey, you never know, so. But I think they're still on the air on occasion right now, so you might pick them up. They're on the 20 meter band. So. Back to you, Lester KC6UFE. All right, Bill, thank you. And anyone else with a comment. All right. This concludes the Golden Empire Amateur Radio Society. I'd like to thank everybody who checked in tonight, invite you back next week. This is KD6KUO returning the W6REC to its normal monitoring service. This net's closed at 21-19-46.
