Ai6us.ai6jb. Go ahead, orion. Ai6us. How we coming along? Okay, I may be sounding a little weird because I'm taking a different path in. It looks like things are coming back. I need. Doug is working on something right now. So what time are we at? We're at 7:27. Oh, and I can hear you on the RF. Okay, very good. We will have an answer for you in the next minute or two here. Thank you. I'll be right back to you. AI 6km6ykX Ai6uskm6ykX hey, the remote. The voter here is good to go so you can turn it on anytime you want. Okay? Yeah. When I didn't hear back from you. I have come down to the ball so we may not need it. I have it powered off right now, I believe. Did you copy? Rob.

Speaker A: Well, it has to be. Showtime. Coming. Quick case of qd.
Speaker B: Please stand by, folks. Thank you. Orion, would you make an announcement? There's going to be delay on the start.
Speaker A: I certainly will. Good morning, everyone. This is the coffee breaknet orion ai6jb here in northwest Roseville. Unfortunately, we have some technical issues. We think we are close to solving them. So if everybody could stand by and let the good folks who are diagnosing the problem get their. Get it done. So Coffee breaknet is temporarily on hold. We'll see how things work out here in the next few minutes. Thank you, everybody. Ai6jb, You know, Oran,
Speaker B: that's totally unacceptable. That's going to be reflected in your performance review this year. Just getting KC6 sle. If I could have radio silence for a bit, guys. Ai6us, please, everyone stand by.

Speaker A: Everyone please stand by. Do not Ker chunk the repeater. Please stand by. The coffee breaknet may start in a few minutes. We will. We're working on the repeater right now. Thank you. AI6US. Please stand by. No ker chunking. And please stand by. Okay guys, I'm just going to turn the repeater off if you guys don't chill and stand by. No ker chunking please. Otherwise the repeater is going to get shut off until we get this resolved. Thank you. Ai6us. Okay Orion, I'm just going to shut the repeater off. Go ahead and call the net and then I'm going to shut the repeater off. People can't have common respect to let us get this resolved. I'm not going to put up with it.
Speaker B: All right folks, unfortunately we're going to be canceling the coffee breaknet this morning. We'll be shutting down the repeaters for repairs. Look forward to seeing you all Tomorrow morning at 7:30-10am for the Coffee Breaknet. This is Orion AI6JB signing off.
Speaker A: All right, thank you, Oren. I hope you're feeling better soon. AI 62 US repeater is going down.

Speaker A: Kb6luv Good morning. Did I miss the announcement that the Coffee Breaknet wasn't on this morning?
Speaker B: Hey Brett, I don't think
Speaker A: you missed any announcement or anything like that. Maybe a conflict or something like that. But you. Yeah, no, I don't think you missed an announcement.
Speaker B: Actually, there was an announcement right at about 7:30. They're having trouble with the repeater, trying to get it back online and they need the quiet to work on it. So stand by. And I think that's been called for today, but we're back tomorrow. Chaos th.
Speaker A: Ah, thanks, Greg. Sorry I joined a little late. Didn't hear that, but
Speaker B: okay, cool.
Speaker A: Thanks guys. WB1G.

Speaker A: A coffee break nip this morning. Wb60j.
Speaker B: W0NQ. Apparently they were having some difficulty with the repeater and they decided to cancel it out for today. It sounded like to me over.
Speaker A: Because I came from another desk. This is Mark, WB6BJ. I'm your weather guy. Okay, well, I guess, I guess we won't have one All Stars working, so I guess they're having a little problem with the repeater. Well, hopefully they'll get it figured out and we'll be back on Monday. Thank you, sir, for that, that information. WB6DJ
Speaker B: Roger. Roger. You have a good weekend. W0NQ73S.

Speaker A: Okay, this is
Speaker B: ai6us on all star. I need a local rf station in the greater auburn area. Just a local rf station please, for a test. Quite a few people offering to help. I didn't catch anyone. Sorry.
Speaker C: AB6LUV Good morning, Brian.
Speaker B: Hey, good morning. Just want to confirm you're coming in on rf.
Speaker C: Roger, Roger. Rf.
Speaker B: Okay, thank you very much. Okay, so here's the dealio. We had a failure on a one of our voter nodules, the master controller in the vault. So we are on backup backup receiver right now. So the you'll need to use a little bit more power for local stations probably to get into the backup receiver. So we really want to thank KM6YKX for hosting the receiver at its place. And we're going to be working on getting the voter system back up after people kind of celebrate Valentine's Day. So anyway, there will be no Coffee breaknet this morning. Do apologize for that. But the RF system and the All Star NECO link are back up and operational. So thank you everyone and have a wonderful Valentine's Day, A wonderful Saturday. Ai6us
Speaker C: thanks for what you do, Brian. You and all the net control hosting the folks, they're doing the maintenance. Appreciate it. You all have a blessed day. KV6 luv clear.
Speaker B: All right, thank you coming back for coming back for my request there. And yeah, the repeater is open for use regular usage. So feel free to use it guys. But there will be no Coffee breaknet today. We will be working on the the repeater later on in the morning. Ai6us Happy Saturday everyone.
Speaker D: Good. Happy valentine's day. Thank you, brian.
Speaker B: Thank you. I was just trying to figure everything out.
Speaker A: Your radio is on the right frequency. This is the home of sac Valley's original 105W6 GRC with a PL tone of 110.9.

And for anybody who was on earlier, when I shut down the system, I just want to make an apology. I kind of was up at about 5:30 starting to deal on with this. And just to have some disrespect happening when, you know, we're out here working on it, I reacted incorrectly. So I apologize to anyone who I offended, but, but I was a little ticked off at the time that we couldn't get some common respect. So sorry about that. And apologies to everyone who might have been offended by that. I, I truly do mean that. AI6US. I'm going to be clear and clearing the vault.

This is NN6H. We are doing a radio test. Could somebody on RF come back and give us a test count, please? NN6H. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 seconds. Okay, very good. Yeah, there was a collision there of people. But thank you for the test. I appreciate everybody coming back and yeah, we are doing the test here. Thank you. NN6H.

K5NER with the blind Ms. DigitalNet. We'll see you next week. And we're returning control back to our normal repeater.

Speaker A: Yeah, this is NN6H. Just wanted to let you know about the status of the W60K repeater. All the voters are back up again and everything is up and looks like everything is working. We have an intermittent problem which we have not tracked down yet which caused us to go off this morning. So the repeater is available for everybody's use. There will be no coffee breaknet this morning, but you're welcome to use the repeater, Peter, both on all star and on RF. This is Tom, NN6H. Happy Valentine's Day. Thanks, Tom.
Speaker B: Brian and everyone who was working on this behind the scenes early this morning really appreciate the effort. Kilo golf saying Mike.
Speaker A: Yep. Brian was up there bright and early at the vault, so definitely kudos to him anyway.
Speaker C: Thanks, Frank.
Speaker B: I believe I heard Frank, but it was pretty low in volume. Was that for Kilo Golf 9 Mike?
Speaker C: Yeah, dude. Just asking if you want to be my valentine.
Speaker B: Oh, I heard Larry say that you were already taken. Happy Valentine's day to you and everyone out there. I am heading to McClellan for a meeting this morning. Culigl sign, Mike.
Speaker C: Oh, McClellan. Yeah. Which is actually has a little bit more traffic going in and out of there than just 130 virtually fire drops. Huh. You know, there was of course appropriate air force base. I can start. Avenue. The road aren't lined up.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker B: So my apologies, Ryan. Not sure if you're able to hear me. That was a pretty tough copy for me being mobile.
Speaker A: Where are you at right now?
Speaker B: Roger. Good chatting with you. Yeah, it's a tough copy. Not sure if it's the issues we're having or just. Just your signal or maybe it's me. I don't know. But appreciate it. Anyway, have a great day today and hope to catch up with you soon. W6H. Kilo Golf 9 Mike 73. Happy Valentine's Day.
Speaker C: Hey, Frank. You were booming in, but Ryan was way, way quiet.
Speaker A: Thanks, Russ.
Speaker B: Good to hear that. You never know it's tied to songs, but appreciate it. And also good seeing you last night and thanks again for all your help. Okay. Six lop Killer golf nine Mike. Have a great day. Happy Valentine's day to you too. 7 3.
Speaker C: Russ, was it an amplitude thing or a signal thing? I'd say amplitude. You're a little bit more readable now, but it just sounded like you weren't near the mic to me. You were just real quiet and I could hear him just fine. Copy. Yep. Behavior hasn't changed, though. There's something going on here. We'll Figure it out. 73 KSX LOP
Speaker A: and Russ, while you're there, if you would.
Speaker B: I was on high power. I just went to mid power. I am over by
Speaker C: Douglas.
Speaker B: How is, how's the reception now?
Speaker C: Full quieting. I mean, to me, the repeater, there's a little more noise than normal, but you're. You're totally readable. Sound great. Where Ryan, while he did come up a little bit, he was just real quiet. So anyway, you're sounding good,
Speaker B: Roger.
Speaker A: Thanks again.
Speaker B: All right, I'm almost to my destination. I can't say that word destinated, but I will say seven 3s for now. Everyone have a great day.
Speaker A: Kilo Golf 973 Ki6 Lop KC6 sle.
Speaker C: Good morning, Graydon.
Speaker A: Good morning. I was hoping to catch Frank, but it sounds like he bails quickly.
Speaker B: Still here, Graydon, but I'm getting ready
Speaker A: to go through the gate, so I
Speaker B: was going to put everything away.
Speaker A: Good morning. How are you?
Speaker B: Kiddle Golf sign Mike.
Speaker A: Oh, I'm doing good. I just wanted to tell you nice meeting, nice presentation to handle that really well. And a big compliment from Lisa. She said she really liked your style, how cool and calm you are and just wanted to pass that along. She was impressed as well. Good job. KC6 says holy. I do appreciate that.
Speaker B: Just kind of had to do the tap dance, right? Not as polished as you. Appreciate your presentation. I think it did what it needed to do and I appreciate those comments. Thank you very much. Happy Valentine's Day to you and as well. And we'll talk to you again soon. Grady. Take care. Casey six sle kilo bell sign Mike.
Speaker C: 73.
Speaker A: Enjoy. And was that Russ?
Speaker C: Yep. Graydon, I'm here. How are you?
Speaker A: I'm fine. I didn't get to talk to you last night. Gosh, there were a lot of people there and I didn't get around everybody I wanted to talk to, socialize a little bit with. How are you doing?
Speaker C: I'm doing great. I planned on being there a little earlier to try and touch base with people, but I just didn't make it as early as I'd like to have. But yeah, I saw you there and great. That was a really good presentation you did. Kind of reminding everybody of all the things that we had done there at the church. I'd forgotten about the builds built there, so. Yeah, that was awesome last night.
Speaker A: Well, thank you. Yeah, I just, you know, it's a wonderful transition that we're making at the same time. I think we. I just wanted to see a Little bit of closure with that stage of what the club has been enjoying, you know, that stage before we transition over. And a thank you to the church. They've been really good to us. And yeah, it was fun going through the photos yesterday, picking out a couple photos of the builds.
Speaker C: You know, we haven't done a build
Speaker A: in a long time. We need to get back into that.
Speaker C: Yeah, that would be great. Definitely. I'd like to get more involved in building stuff also. I got a question for you. Do you have a date for Hot RF Nights yet this year?
Speaker A: I do not. Smitty and I need to sit down and we need to work on. We are going to reinvent Hot RF Nights. It may not be called Hot RF Nights anymore. We're thinking about changing it up, making it a little bit different in the future, so stay tuned. I don't want to say too much about it right now because again, we've been focused on the hamfest, and then I know we're going to be focused on field day last year, you know, putting hotter at nights in between the ham fest and field day. It was the right thing to do from, you know, a climate standpoint because the year before was just so hot. You were there. You know, we were trying to find a time of the year to where it really made sense, you know, environmentally, for people to be outside and in the sun and so forth. But it really put a strain on the club doing three events of that magnitude in a row.
Speaker C: Yeah, definitely. I missed the one last year because we were on vacation. That's why I was trying to get an idea of when we might be doing something this year, because, well, we have a vacation planned in May, but we try to take the travel trailer out at least once a month. So just trying to plan, plan ahead and see if I could be involved again this year. So, anyway, looking forward to whatever you guys come up with.
Speaker B: It ought to be.
Speaker A: It'll be a blast.
Speaker C: I know it will. And remember, fall. You can't go wrong in fall. It's always pretty nice around here in the autumn.
Speaker A: Well, I would keep that in mind, and I will. You know, I appreciate you volunteering already, and maybe Smitty and I will add you to the team reinventing this. We'd like your input.
Speaker C: Okay, that sounds good. And like I say, you know, I'll do my best to try and whatever date you guys come up with to try and accommodate that, but we kind of plan our RV in out pretty far in advance. So I was just trying to get on the on the calendar there. But yeah, I'm looking forward to whatever you guys come up with. I know it'll be great.
Speaker A: That sounds good. So I don't recall you having an RV before, but you may have had an RV before. But what type of travel trailer do you have?
Speaker C: Well, in fact I picked it up during field Day of 2024. We went up to Reno and picked it up when I or Genoa out there when I right after I bought that truck that I have now in June of 2024. We just went crazy and went out and bought a used 1985. It's called a 1985. It's a 2019, 1985 Lance travel trailer. So it's just a nice little couple trailer. It's easy to get in places and tows well and everything. So we really like it. And she wants to get as much use out of it as possible. So we, like I said, we shoot for every month at least once during the month. One weekend of the month and getting out and then a couple nice long trips in the year as well.
Speaker A: Well, that is cool. You know, I have not seen the truck and the truck conversion since you started that project. It was probably the last hotter night you were at, but it was really looking good. So it's got to be looking a. I mean you got to have that perfected now.
Speaker C: No, I didn't even have it during the last hot RF nights. But it has one of those four wheel camper pop up toppers called the project M. And while I have antennas mounted on it and some solar and battery and stuff like that, I haven't gotten around to like doing my little radio cabinet in there yet. So I got to get that designed and built. But some other honeydews and stuff the way right at the moment.
Speaker A: Wonder where it was. I saw it. Maybe it was at Stampede.
Speaker C: I don't know.
Speaker A: I know I saw it shortly after you got it and you'd already done some great things to it and it was a nice. A nice place to start.
Speaker B: It was.
Speaker A: I think you got a pretty good deal on that whole rig. But you were already making improvements on it either with Stampede or I don't remember. But I remember seeing it right after you first got it.
Speaker C: No, I haven't made either Stampede trip. You probably saw it in Field Day 2024. I haven't made either Stampede trip too because we get camping trips in planned ahead of that one and it just didn't. Didn't work out. There's just conflicts. So maybe I can make that Again. Or make that for the first time this year. You guys sound like you have a lot of fun up there. But anyway, how are you doing?
Speaker A: Doing good. We're going to take a big RV trip this year. Come the beginning of June, maybe the end of May, we were invited to a wedding of a good friend's daughter back in Nashville, just outside of Nashville. So Lisa and I talked about it, and I said, you know, why don't we make an RV trip out of going there and coming back? So we're going to probably be gone the better part of June. So, like I said, we're going to set out the beginning of June, and we're going to take the southern route, probably mainly Highway 40. I don't think I'll go all the way down to 10, but 40, and we'll. There's a lot of those. You know, Lisa's never been to New Mexico. She's never been to Arkansas and some of those states. And Texas, I don't think she's ever been to Texas. We'll go through the panhandle of Texas, so we'll make a road trip out of it. We got to be in Nashville by the 13th, so we got to leave in enough time not to kill ourselves getting back there, but at the same time, get back there and enjoy everything in between. And then on the way back, we'll go to the north, probably take. Go up through Kansas and take Highway 70 across.
Speaker C: Very nice. When I was a kid, we used to travel out to Texas to see family. Texas, Oklahoma, and all that. Every. Not every, but about every three years. And that's what we do. Or at least I remember doing that. I was pretty young, but taking the southern route and seeing New Mexico and all those places and coming back and coming back through Yellowstone and all that, it was really great. Are you going to make it back for. I mean, for Field Day?
Speaker A: No, I am not. We won't be back until probably early July. So I will not make Field Day this year. But, you know, Lisa is. You know, I've been putting off doing a lot of RV traveling with some of the things I've been doing around here. So I owe her a long trip, a big trip. And I don't think we're ever going to get all 50 states for her. But when I was a kid, my dad would save up. He worked for the government, and he would save up his vacation, and every two years, because all his relatives were on the east coast and in Michigan, we would set out and travel across the United States for weeks. Weeks at a time. And I got fond memories of that. Pretty much went to every state except Alaska. And a few years ago, Lisa took me on a cruise to Alaska so I could put the last date down.
Speaker C: Very nice. Boy, that was some rough travel for a kid back in the day. I mean, at least compared to now. AM radio station. And then you have it for maybe 20 minutes or half an hour or something, then it fades out and you got to go find another one. There's nothing to look at as far as, I mean, other than a book or the Etch A Sketch, but yeah, it was. Those were good trips and a lot of memories. I haven't hit near every state, but I've been in a lot of states, but not all. Not close to all 50 yet. So anyway. But man, I'd be looking forward to a big RV trip like that. And we'll do that someday where just head off and do a month or two. But I'm not there yet.
Speaker A: Casey six sleeper id. You know, when I was. Oh, shoot, probably six or seven years old is when I first remember taking those big trips. My dad had a 1961 Volkswagen. That was the original Volkswagen, I think. It had all 36 horsepower. Three kids, two adults, all our luggage traveling across the United States and a Volkswagen Bug.
Speaker C: Well, I can't even imagine that.
Speaker A: Holy smokes.
Speaker C: Yeah. No, we were at least always in a full size den. That's crazy, man. I don't know how you guys did it.
Speaker A: Well, I couldn't get away from my two sisters. That was the problem. But if you remember the old Volkswagen, it had that little cubby, little storage area right underneath the rear window, right behind the rear seat. And I was small enough I could climb into that and have my own space. The only problem was I was under a magnifying glass with the rear window. So I'd get cooked back there as well.
Speaker C: That's what I was going to say. That had to be warm back there. That's. That's crazy. You're a better man than me.
Speaker A: My dad made sure that we saw most of the national parks, most of every state. He was good about that. And then later on when my. I finally used to go down there and spend a summers with him and my mom, they would take RV trips and take my son, so he got to see a large part of the United States with my grandpa, so. Or my dad, his grandpa, so. That was really good. Well, good talking to you. Good catching up. I've got some things I got to jump on here, but I heard you out there talking to Frank, and I wanted to thank Frank for handling Loomis ham fest. He's doing a great job. And I want to say hi to you as well, so. 73
Speaker C: all right. I appreciate that, Braden. And you have a great day. And while I'm on here, we need volunteers for especially parking. I'm the parking guy. I need volunteers. So anybody listening, please consider it anyway. 73 Grayton have a great day. KC6SLE Ki6LOP 73
Speaker A: have a great day. KC6SLA.
Speaker C: And great.
Speaker A: And I want to apologize to you, and I know you were monitoring and trying to help earlier this morning.
Speaker B: Just wanted to apologize. I.

Speaker A: I kind of lost my cool a little bit when we were in the vault. So yeah, my apologies to you and any tender ears around you.
Speaker B: Brian. No apology necessary. That was a smart ass comment I made just coming out into the kitchen, turning the radio on, not realizing what you were dealing with.
Speaker C: My apologies to you.
Speaker B: I'm not going to blame my son, but my son was kind of egging me on. He said, he said, let Orion know that's totally unacceptable. So I picked up the mic and said that and now I regret it. So yeah, sorry you had to deal with that. It sounds like everything squared away. If you need anything, I sent you a note a little while ago. If you need any testing later on today from a distant RF station, let me know.
Speaker A: Yeah, absolutely. No, it was not directed at you. But you know, when I specifically asked for, you know, repeater silence and ochre chunks and then you know, we had five back to back ker chunks. I mean that, that tested my patience and there are bigger people out there than me evidently, so. No, it wasn't definitely was not aimed at you. I kind of actually chuckled when I heard your comment. But anyway, you have a wonderful day. Yeah, we're. The voters are back online. It's an intermittent problem and Doug and you know it's a bad day for this to happen, so we'll get back to it this afternoon. And you know, intermittent problems are the worst to track.
Speaker B: Well, I fully understand and as always, I don't think people fully appreciate the amount of hours that you put in. Tom puts in, Doug puts in probably others. But you do. You put a tremendous amount of hours in there keeping the operating and a lot of us tend to take that for granted. I really appreciate everything you do. I'm sure others do as well. Anyway, have a great day. I. I'm going to sit down at
Speaker C: the computer and try to pull up
Speaker B: the picture you sent to me. I'm curious what it is. I thought you might be sending me a message.
Speaker C: KC6 that's something.
Speaker A: I don't know if I sent you a picture intentionally. You better let me know what I sent you anyway. All right, chat with you later. No, it was something. You know, when you start at this at 5:00 in the morning on Valentine's Day, you know it's not going to end. I kissed Chin on the. Kissed Lynn on the cheek and I said I'm headed to the vault. She said, have a nice day. So you know anybody who sells roses in Meadow Vista? Talk to you later. Ai6us.
Speaker B: Well, you Saw how I got out of trouble last night. I bagged some of the flowers at the meeting, and they were on the counter, and Lisa loves them. You talk about saving your butt because I forgot all about Valentine's Day until just before we left for the meeting yesterday. Have a great day, Brian.
Speaker C: KC6SOLE.
Speaker A: I don't. You know, let's clear it up.
Speaker D: I don't think you stole them.
Speaker A: I remember distinctly hearing they were offered to you. So there we go. I don't want anybody getting a bad impression of you. Have a great day. Good morning to Grady. Good morning to Lisa, and we'll chat with you later. Great seeing everybody last night.
Speaker E: And just.
Speaker A: Anybody on the repeater? The repeater is back on normal operation. We're just trying to see if the problem will reoccur. So there will be no coffee breaknet today. So if you're wondering what's going on. Yeah, we had to make the call earlier because of technical difficulties, but feel free to use the repeater and you
Speaker C: know, what would we be doing on
Speaker A: the repeater if we didn't have the coffee breaknet? Don't say silence. Have a Good day, everybody. AI6US.
Speaker B: Ai6us.
Speaker D: Good morning, Brian.
Speaker C: Thank you for hopping up there. You are definitely undervalued. And,
Speaker A: Yeah, Ryan, we could barely hear. Your audio is way, way down there. But thank you. Appreciate it. Yeah, I'm going to hop out here. So you have a wonderful day and feel free to entertain each other. Put the repeater under some stress. Happy Valentine's Day, everybody. AI6US.
Speaker F: Ai6us.kk6mu.
Speaker A: Yeah, for a quick one.
Speaker C: Hey, this is Mike.
Speaker F: Just testing out All Star via the DV switch app on the phone for the first time. I saw you guys have the All Star feature. Is it. Am I getting in?
Speaker A: Okay, you're making it in. Okay, but find the volume setting.
Speaker E: Which.
Speaker A: Which app are you on on the phone?
Speaker C: DV switch, you said?
Speaker A: Roger.
Speaker C: Roger.
Speaker A: Okay, on DV switch, let me tell you which button to press and hold down on. Just be a second here. See, I think it's.
Speaker C: Yeah.
Speaker A: Press the more button and then you'll see audio settings and bring your transmit level down. You're probably somewhere 50% plus.
Speaker F: All right, just did that.
Speaker C: How's that?
Speaker A: Much better.
Speaker C: Much better.
Speaker F: All right, thank you very much, and thanks for hosting All Star on your repeater KK6 Muclear.
Speaker D: All right.
Speaker A: And a great resource if you're new to this is node 55553 quad 5 with a 355553, and that's a parrot mode, a node that will give you audio back and playback your audio. So it's something you can compare your voice to, the reback voice. So hope that helps you. Thanks for dropping by and enjoy.
Speaker C: AI 673 KK6MU.
Speaker E: Hey, KK6MU. WB1G. Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, hey there. You're sounding much better. You could probably take your level. I agree with Brian, by the way. Try quad four and then three. And what that node does is it measures your input attenuation into All Star. And then it gives you a nice little response as to, you know, as to where you're landing and gives you kind of a grade like, hey, you're good. I have a VU that's measuring U against Brian, for example, and you could probably come up just a tiny bit, but overall, a vast improvement. To give you an idea, it's a negative scale. When you first transmitted, you are all the way to the red, and you are in the positive numbers. You actually want to be in negative numbers. You want to be around negative 8, negative 6. So take your audio. Just bring it up a tiny bit, and I think you're going to. Then when you try the parrot, I bet you it's going to tell you
Speaker C: you sound
Speaker F: all right. Well, I just did. Is this working any better on your end?
Speaker E: I think that was. That was definitely a really good change right there. Again, just brought it up a tiny bit. I only saw, like, one or two extra bars on the vu. So, yeah, go to the parrot, test it. If anything, it's going to say, you're just about right, or it'll say, your audio is normal.
Speaker D: But, yeah, it's good.
Speaker C: Good luck.
Speaker F: Thank you very much. I had been using Droidstar for some of the DMR modes, and so I was a little bit familiar with the parrot and so forth, or from the old, what, Echolink or something like that. But this is the first time I've used All Star. I said that you could get it working on with the Droidstar app, but I was not successful. And this app, it was very kind of difficult to figure out how to configure it because there's multiple different screens you have to go to. But I found a YouTube tutorial, and I must have finally figured it out. Anyway, thank you very much. Have a wonderful day.
Speaker C: KK6MU.
Speaker E: You got it. You're now a certified YouTube technician, as we call it. So congratulations. Your certificate will be in the mail.
Speaker D: Good luck.
Speaker E: Check it with a parrot. I think you'll find that you're spot on or very, very close. But yeah, the audio sounds really good too. I'm listening direct into All Stars, so you're coming out of a high end set of speakers and the audio sounds just great.
Speaker F: Thank you very much. And you said the parrot node was 44443.
Speaker D: Close, close, close, close.
Speaker E: It's 55553. So quad five or four fives and a three.
Speaker C: See, that doesn't sound all right.
Speaker F: That's where I got the four from. All right, well, thank you very much. Have a wonderful day. KK6MU clear.
Speaker E: WB1G clear as well.
Speaker A: Hey, Smitty, good to see you last evening. And yeah, give me a. Give me a call when you have a chance. And I wanted a little better understanding of an audio path there, but have a great weekend. Call me when you can. And that, folks, was an example of a smitty spam filter. Ai6us.
Speaker B: So we have a.
Speaker C: Are you guys doing the coffee break net this morning?
Speaker A: Negative.
Speaker E: We had some repeater issues earlier.
Speaker A: But feel free to use the repeater and start up your own conversation. We had to make the call early.
Speaker C: Okay. My wife's laughing. I go, yeah, I talk to myself a lot anyway. All right, well, you guys have a great Valentine's out there for those of you who haven't.
Speaker B: And my wife was kind enough to
Speaker C: let me go do apota.
Speaker B: And now we're on our way back
Speaker C: to start our Valentine's venture. AP 73.
Speaker A: All right, good morning to your wife there. And you guys, have a wonderful Saturday. 73.
Speaker C: Kk 6:00am ko6 I see out there.
Speaker D: Ready? Yeah, I'm out here listening in the background.
Speaker C: I just want to say I missed you last night to meet you. Oh, my God, you should smell the diabetic disease on the tables there. They had cookies for days. Oh, they had snacks. They had stuff. Mr. Ma'. Am.
Speaker D: Hey, I was having fun on the comments section on Zoom.
Speaker C: How'd that come across? That was inside, so I couldn't see. How'd that come across? Could you hear anybody talking in the group, in the, in the meeting?
Speaker D: It kind of came and went. And also they were having problems getting the right things on screen or they needed another screen or something like that. Which led to a lively discussion offline.
Speaker B: Oh, I bet.
Speaker C: But we know, we all know this is a trial run out to chute. First time going. Stuff's gonna happen. Nobody's ever been that good on the first try. But yeah, it's. It looked good from my end in There. It sounded good. I mean, beautiful building, dude. It's a beautiful building set up. And it doesn't look like you're sitting in a chicken coop anymore.
Speaker D: No. I got kind of a kick out of it, though, because when they did their run through earlier, I assume you're listening, and had a couple little tips, but the one that struck me the most was, you know, when you put 50 or 70 people in a room, you're gonna have a whole lot different results than when you don't have any.
Speaker C: Yeah. I believe the head count there was, I want to say, 71 or 78 sitting in there and then whoever else was on Zoom, so they. Close to 100. It was a good turnout. It was good turnout. Yep.
Speaker D: And there's pretty good turnout on Zoom, too. Like I said, it was kind of a fun. It's kind of an advantage. They say they're going to be able to hear all of our back comments, so. Yeah, maybe it'll stay on Zoom, because I don't have that problem. But anyway, I went through this when I was doing live sounds for the schools was that, yeah, you go in and set everything up and get all your levels right and then put people in the room.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker D: Everything goes to crap. So what I usually did was do my setup so that I could, you know, end up around recess or lunch and have all the kids come into the auditorium. And now we'll set levels.
Speaker C: Absolutely. All right. I like to go, I just had
Speaker E: to check on you.
Speaker C: I just said you. You missed a good turnout. I'm just saying it's pretty good. Oh, they had. No. They didn't have, though. And now that I know that they won't be, I'm gonna bring my own coffee.
Speaker D: Yeah.
Speaker C: All these tables full of snacks. Coffee. And I'm like, oh, somebody sitting next to me had to mention coffee at the meeting. And I went, huh? Yeah, that was nice. All right, sir, I hope you have a good day. I gotta climb up on the roof today and make sure things tied down, strapped down, because we got a storm coming in, brother.
Speaker D: Well, you do know the thing that if you don't lose an antenna in the storm, it wasn't high enough.
Speaker C: Is that the general rule of thumb there, Rush? It wasn't high enough. Didn't lose it. It's not high enough.
Speaker D: That's one of the rules I was taught way back when. I mean, at the same time, I was learning that. You know what intermittent means, don't you?
Speaker C: Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Speaker D: No, no, no. It means it works on the bench.
Speaker A: That is true.
Speaker C: You ever know when you walk out the door or something like that to you build, you go, wait, this worked in size. All right, I got, I'm looking at an empty bottom of a coffee cup and that's just not going to do. I'm not talking empty empty. I've already, I've already sucked the stuff off the porcelain.
Speaker D: Yeah, I probably had to go fill up a fresh cup too. Although I fill up a fresh cup by grinding the beans, putting them in the drip thing, letting the water boil. Yeah, but that's the way I like it. 73 Cakey 6am
Speaker C: well they're in this house today we have a snafu. Somebody say it's me went and got coffee but then I said, oh, got home, it's whole bean and guess what? I don't have a grinder. So I'm gonna have to go and get creative here.
Speaker A: Probably about 3 o' clock in the
Speaker C: afternoon with a hammer.
Speaker D: Oh well, yeah, I don't buy anything but whole beans. Basically I go down and buy a big bag at Costco. I then split it up into about, about 2 cups of beans, 3 cups of beans, something like that into seal the meal bags, vacuum seal them and then I, it stays fresh real well anyway. 73 KK 6:00am 73 Ray, good hearing
Speaker C: you KO6ISJ I'll be monitoring.
Speaker E: Hey Ray, before, before you go, quick, quick drive by. I just want to thank you, your daughter and your son in law for a lot of laughs and entertainment while reading the chat last night. You know, for stress of a first time. Like you said, as a live sound guy you can test things but until you get real world with real people in the room and everybody looking at a screen and you know, basically the real scenario, that's when you learn. So thank you for the comical commentary from your, from your family on Zoom. After I got the chance and things were rolling through all that and it did make me smile quite a bit.
Speaker D: Well, you can jump right in there. You know we had a private conversation too besides the one with everybody.
Speaker E: It was a good time and we, and we learned a bunch. You know, it's, there's a different level of sophistication in there and not bad, not good, just different tools. It's going to take a while to get used to them and then of course you know, kind of optimizing what's in there versus what's our own and kind of a blend of both, but we'll get there. It might take a couple meetings, but we'll get there.
Speaker D: Yeah, it always does. It's kind of funny because I got thrown into a steep learning curve. As far as the live sound stuff went is I was helping with the drama program at local middle school that my daughter was attending, and that was one way for me to spend more time with her because her mother was a.

Speaker A: Yeah, it starts with a
Speaker B: B.
Speaker A: Maybe that's insulting dogs so, you know, something like that. But the first day we're setting up for a show
Speaker B: and
Speaker A: they tell me, oh, they've got their own sound system, everything. They pay the local music store $350 to come in, plug in their equipment and walk away. Took them all 10 minutes. I'm like, oh, we don't need this. I can do that. And as it continued on, I did more and more to the point that I was one of the few people contractors with Tracy School district that hadn't even had a background check. It wasn't a formal contract either. It was a good amount of money though.
Speaker B: Did we lose it again? No, I think you just lost Smitty.
Speaker A: Okay, well, I was watching anyway thank you.
Speaker B: I think he's waiting for the drive by B1G. I thought that would bring him out of the Woodward
Speaker A: N6EMF listening.

Speaker A: Wb1g.wb1g.wu6h.
Speaker B: Hey, bud, I'm in the shack right now.
Speaker C: What's up, brother?
Speaker A: I had two separate complaints of low audio. And I'm looking at this anytone, whatever radio, and I think I made a microphone adjustment every single time, right? I, you know, I talk across the mic. It's pressed up against my right, right side of my mouth, you know, radio operator style. Is this any better?
Speaker B: So I don't have a frame of reference. You're coming in rf, right? I mean, looking at the levels, pure levels, you look like every other station coming in through the repeater. So I would say that's positive. But I'm also, I'm listening direct on. Let me do this. Let me turn on the radio and I'm just going to hear what I sound like going into the repeater. Might echo here for a second and then I'll. Because I've got a little meter on my 9700 as well here. Why don't you come back and I'll compare how I sound on their feeder versus you.
Speaker A: Sounds good.
Speaker B: I'll jaw for a couple minutes.
Speaker A: It's really hard for me to do that. By the way, I'm sorry I missed you guys last night. I was stuck in Motown slow death toe until about 10:30, and, man, I really wanted to kind of do the coronation of the new digs, but I guess it'll have to wait for next month. Anyway, how are we sounding, wu6h.
Speaker D: One g?
Speaker B: Well, I think there are a few folks that want to chime in and tell you how you sound, but based on my equipment at hand, would say you're there. I don't know that I'd make any adjustments if I were you. Real quick here. Wu6h. Let me pause for just a second. Ems, was there somebody else in there, too? I think there was another station struggling to jump in there as well.
Speaker C: KB6 luv. Good morning.
Speaker B: Hey, Mr. Love.
Speaker E: Good morning, gentlemen. Sorry to have missed you all on the foregone coffee break nuts this morning.
Speaker D: Sorry.
Speaker E: But again, everybody out there that's doing the work on these repeaters. So much love, so much appreciation.
Speaker B: Anyway, Ryan, back to your audio.
Speaker E: You're sounding much better than you were this morning when you had originally checked in. If you were looking for a comparison between earlier and just now.
Speaker A: KB6L, U V. Appreciate it. I also, like, blew out that little, little teeny tiny hole in the microphone, so maybe I had some lint in there or something. But I also cranked up the gain by one Notch. I only have three notches to choose from, so thank you for the comparison. And just got some coffee at the local gas station. It's like they have these coffee makers where they drop the beans and they grind it and then they pour the hot water over beans. I mean, it's awesome. So. And it's only $2.19 a cup. I say that in celebration, I guess, because it's six bucks at Starbucks. Question mark. What's the patent? WU6H.
Speaker C: Well.
Speaker D: Right, right. All I've got is a. As amazing as the meeting was last night, there was a hole there. Definitely needed some lint cleaning out. And you were missed.
Speaker A: You know, it's nice to have two ears because I heard both of you. I only have one brain, but. Or less if. If you listen to my wife. Anyway, I gotcha. And yeah, sorry, sorry, miss meeting stuck. Every intention. But there's phraseology about intentions and things. I'm out of here. Thank you for giving ME A. An update. 73WU6H.
Speaker C: W 68 kill 6 size J.
Speaker A: Still got your package? You're giving me your package or something? Is this a Valentine's Day thing? It's only nine in the morning, dude.
Speaker C: Whoa. Oh, yeah, I was gonna give it to you last. I was giving you my package last night, but you weren't there, so I had to go home with it and go to bed.
Speaker B: Hey, can you guys please get a room? Maybe a YSF room, a DMR room,
Speaker A: Some kind of room? Yeah. This dude scares me.
Speaker C: It wasn't a big package. You could have held it in both hands.
Speaker A: Oh my God, Larry, it's 9 in the morning. This isn't EK after dark.
Speaker B: No, it's coffee break. Off the reels. It's coffee break. Cold brew.
Speaker A: Hilarious. Anyway, so just to sterilize it. Larry, I'm sorry I missed the meeting last night. Did you have something. Did you have something for me?
Speaker C: Well, actually, I did, yes, Jerry. I think it was sitting there. There was a cardboard box sitting between my feet the whole night with my phone on it after I typed in why or where are you? Smiley face to ya.
Speaker A: I know, I know, it sucks. I mean, logistically, I couldn't have made it to get home till 10 something. And then my stupid boss blowing me up about exception reports. How come this didn't happen? So listen to this. So she goes, you're on an exception report for not. Not doing, you know, xyz. Why is this happening? And I looked at it and said, excel, sort of clip it. You know, I'm all well, when is this scheduled? She goes, February 20. Why hasn't the report been submitted yet? And I said, because I don't have a time machine. And then she comes back going, oh, okay. I mean this ch is.
Speaker B: She's a moron.
Speaker C: Wait, isn't February the date you said coming up? So why do you need a time machine?
Speaker A: He goes, how come it hasn't been submitted yet and it's not even scheduled to be done until February 20th?
Speaker C: Ah, gotcha. Oh man. And this is your bus, huh? Oh, that's gotta be fun to like micromanaged all day long.
Speaker A: Oh my God, she's such an idiot. And I hope she's listening.
Speaker C: Hey, speaking of lifting, you missed out. There was a 15 year old kid there that had a license. I was, I was very impressed. I really was. I met him, talked a little bit. Yeah. So if anybody can get licensed now. You don't want her to get a license if you don't know what you're doing on website doing reports.
Speaker A: Yep, yep. Ham radio is open to all. Just know that his parents checkbook or his allowance is going to be going toward radios that much sooner.
Speaker C: Oh, you know, you know it is.
Speaker A: You can, you can see, see the
Speaker C: spark in the young one's eyes. I know I had that same spark when I got my tech license, but you can see that sparkle just opens up the world. Look.
Speaker A: And I love it.
Speaker C: I love it. But your boss, let's just keep her out of that loop. She doesn't sound too friendly. Over the radio maybe.
Speaker A: Yeah, gotcha.
Speaker B: Lair bear.
Speaker A: Go ahead, comment.
Speaker D: Hey, so Ry Rai N6cms and the Lair bear.
Speaker E: Yeah.
Speaker D: I was talking with Jeremy and his son Maxson who's been at a couple of the fox hunts and stuff with him. He looked at me and he's like, yeah, he says he's ready to take the test next month. So Trump that 15 year old, he's, he's about 11, 12.
Speaker C: Was that the, was that the kid that was that won the. The drawing?
Speaker D: Last. One and the same.
Speaker C: Yep. Man, this is so cool. The youngins getting involved in the old man's hobby.
Speaker B: I like that.
Speaker C: And we're all old men, so don't even argue with that. Hi.
Speaker A: Hi.
Speaker B: Young brains are sponges.
Speaker C: Thanks, Minnie. I noticed last night that you kept playing with the control panel on the wall over there. Like ooh, something with a display screen
Speaker B: that was camera. The camera controls are on there. So that's how you steer them, zoom them in and change cameras. Camera zoom. You kind of Preset all of your shots, you know, as far as a tight podium, a wide shot. And so unfortunately, you got to walk over there. Not that I'm being lazy, but you've got to physically get up, walk over there, and hit the button.
Speaker A: Kind of a little funky, but it
Speaker B: was fun helping to produce last night's meeting. As many lessons and as challenging as it was at times, it was fun.
Speaker C: I didn't realize that was the control for that. I thought it was like the environmental, the thermostat controllers over there going, too cold, too hot, too cold, too hot. That's kind of cool, though. And I bet you with the technology, there's probably some kind of little remote that goes with that too.
Speaker A: Yeah.
Speaker B: It's also the panel where you can. So, you know, when the zoom people would come off mute and they would talk and you'd hear them in the room. So when we started, when you all arrived, that was muted because we're talking to everybody, welcoming folks to the room, and everybody in the physical room would have heard us talking to the zoom room. So you had to kind of go over there, first of all, unmute that so the room could hear zoom. And then you have to go over there every once in a while for the cameras and even the in room microphones. Everything kind of runs through that panel. So, you know, it's a. It's a sophisticated system. It's unfortunate that you can't remote control that. I was talking to their IT guy,
Speaker C: like, hey, is there any way that,
Speaker B: like, I can connect to it and not have to? Not that I don't want to, like, walk over there, but it's kind of inconvenient to be running the zoom and sitting down over by, you know, at a table and then walk halfway across the room to, you know, zoom into a camera angle or, I don't know, change the projector or mute the room or something like that. So setup, not entirely for an organization like us and how we operate, but it is a cool setup for like a, you know, a conference where you got a bunch of people together and not a lot of fun stuff that we do.
Speaker C: Yeah, that room was set up nice. How it's laid out and everything, it fits. And if, if we can't figure out to do something and make it better and be a whole bunch of electronic gurus that we are, we should get this hobby.
Speaker A: Oh, absolutely.
Speaker B: And I heard you there, Ems. So, yeah, you come in here right after me here. But yeah, we discovered that in consolidation, we might have consolidated a little Bit too much, you know, for example, what we learned is anybody who's ever plugged into an overhead projector knows that you can mirror your screen. So what you're seeing in front of you is also up there on the screen. Or you can do a second monitor. You can extend and make that monitor and then kind of put project things onto that monitor, which then end up on the wall. And unfortunately, this. Their system's not set up that way. When you plug it in, it forces a mirror. So everything that you see as the controller folks see up on the screen, that's fine, except we learned very fast that you can't control Zoom Room, you can't control any audio, because anytime you bring any of that up, you've got to minimize the deck beam. So you can't do anything without the entire room seeing you make tweaks and adjustments. So that was kind of one of those things that no matter how you test, it's not until you're in real world and you're going through it where you're like, oh, crap. And yes, I did say the S word out loud over the PA in there. That was quite exciting for anybody that caught my S bomb.
Speaker C: Well, roger that. It's a work in progress. Beautiful place. You did great. You did great on the fly because that, like I said, that's pretty much the first trial run. So I'm gonna get out of here. I got to refill this coffee cup. It's a.
Speaker A: It's a.
Speaker C: It's a horrible thing. I go to a bathroom for the coffee cup. Talk, go to the bathroom, go to the coffee cup. Thanks, Minnie, for doing all you do. We'll talk about the. The car thing, the hot rf nights thing. I got some ideas on that, too. So later on we can chitchat about that. EMS, now you're out there, what's a comment? KL6 is gonna drop a little bit.
Speaker A: All right, lar bear.
Speaker D: Hey, B1G. I'm hoping that I get to mentor maximum, because there's two things I'm going to teach him. The first is once he gets. Gets his license and gets up, he has to continue B1G. And then the second is, you know what? He's got young legs. He could sit up there by you and run back and forth.
Speaker B: Well, I don't think he's carrying as much weight around the midsection, so that's definitely going to give them an advantage right there. But, yeah, we're always looking for people to help and all that good stuff. So there you go. Yeah, it was fun. You know overall kind of one of those things where I forgot how much I don't running live sound. I mean I like it. I love it actually. But there's a certain part where you, you know, like if it was all my gear, for example, my DJ gear or my PA gear, no problem. I know it like the back of my hand. I'm comfortable and last night not so comfortable but you know, again you live, you learn and I think next month will go a lot better given just the lessons we learned this month. So it's tough and it was good seeing you Em.
Speaker A: Yes,
Speaker D: Absolutely. Right back at you. Hey, just a general question for those that are listening. I know the club has an aed. Do you know who has it?
Speaker B: Excellent question. I know I've seen it float around. I want to bet that it's in one of the trailers. Now where that is, I don't know. Who I would start with is probably
Speaker A: either Jim WA8 MPA.
Speaker B: He may at least know where it is or have an idea. But yes we do have one. I've seen it at things like field day and the camp out places like.
Speaker C: Like that.
Speaker B: As far as who holds onto it, I think that stuff end up all
Speaker A: being and I don't know if you
Speaker B: can store an AED in a trailer.
Speaker A: I can't.
Speaker B: I don't know if it needs to be charged up or what but at any rate that's where I would start. Is GMW8aMP80?
Speaker A: Or what about RFB?
Speaker B: You know thanks, that's a good one as well. Maybe RFB as well.
Speaker D: So RFB procured it and gave it to the club. But I had a discussion with him this morning and we were talking about just the fact that there should be a responsibility between he and I that whoever is going to be there will have the med kit and the AED physically present in the room at every meeting. So that's what I'm trying to track it down. I'm willing to take custody of that and make sure that it and the med kit shows up to every meeting.
Speaker B: That to me sounds like a very responsible and good idea right there.

Speaker A: Yeah, so, yeah, that's kind of what I was seeing if somebody knew where it is. But I'll. I'll reach out to Jim. I think we were gonna get together Monday anyway on the phone and I'll just bounce it off of him.
Speaker B: Are you on the mic right now, by chance? I am.
Speaker A: I am in Williams.
Speaker B: Very, very nice. All right. I was asking because I'm. I'm directly connected right now with Ampersand and your audio's putting out a set of high end near field monitors. And I was thinking to myself, you know, the mic in that M1KE isn't as bad as I was giving it credit for. You actually sound pretty balanced coming out of near field monitors here in kind of a studio environment. So, yeah, not bad at all.
Speaker A: Well, I am sure that residing in the club there are several audio files. Who would like to dissect that and. And carve it up into little pieces? A break.
Speaker C: A break.
Speaker A: Go ahead, sir.
Speaker B: Yeah, this is an N6H.
Speaker C: Smitty, can you switch over to RF for a bit?
Speaker B: But I'm just trying to do some
Speaker C: debugging here on the voter stuff and
Speaker B: need to have some.
Speaker C: You guys are both on All Star, Is that possible?
Speaker B: Absolutely. Tom, any power level you'd like me to transmit at in particular?
Speaker C: No, just something to get the voters going. Just want to check out some things here in the log anyway.
Speaker B: Thanks. NN6H. You got it. Switching over here to RFW B1G. Okay. I had to turn down the ALL stuff. Gonna end up with a wicked echo.
Speaker D: I guess we're having voter problems.
Speaker B: No, it's like anything in life, you know, you work through things. No, I don't think we're having. Just making some optimizations and tweaks and all of that. I think there was a little gremlin that was floating around a bit, but overall, working through it. Kind of like the meeting, you know, you live, you learn, and you make small moves.
Speaker D: Makes perfect sense. All right, let's guys get back to it. Me and Heather are going to go play bowling and enjoy.
Speaker A: Yeah,
Speaker D: I can't even think of what today is. Valentine's Day, everybody have a good one. This is K and 6WQ. I'll be clear. Love it.
Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely, man. Well, have a good time. Yeah. Happy Valentine's Day. I. I was a bad husband. I completely forgot it was Valentine's Day. Completely forgot.
Speaker A: Did not
Speaker B: do anything. And that's bad.
Speaker D: But oh, well.
Speaker B: I mean, not oh, well, that's kind of mean to say. WB1G.
Speaker D: Not too late. So bad spinny. I forgot to. So I had to scramble at the last minute and cancel and change a whole bunch of jobs numbers.
Speaker B: So I know how to do this.
Speaker D: K&6W glue.
Speaker A: Now, as you.
Speaker B: As you have no doubt probably learned because you've been married long enough and you have kids. Don't make that mistake on Mother's Day. I have not. But I would go as far to say Mother's Day is far more important than Valentine's Day.
Speaker D: That's a big agreed one for sure. Absolutely. Are you guys. Hopefully we can get the gremlins worked out, and I will be listening as long as I can. So everybody have a good day.
Speaker B: You got it, sir. All right, we'll continue to give the voter a little activity there for Tom. Looking at it as well. Looking at my signal. Going into all of the different locations right now. Yeah. So, ems, back to you, sir. Yeah, good. Good seeing you. Agree with you about the aed. I think in the past, if my memory serves me, I think we were bringing it to the quonset hut when we were up there at Confluence. So I don't know if we just stopped doing that or maybe my memory's a little foggy. That could be a tip.
Speaker A: Yeah, I've seen it there. But I just had a discussion with Scott this morning, and we just kind of nailed down a plan of like, you know, the days that I'm gonna be there are meetings that I'm gonna be there that, you know, I would take charge and make sure that that was there along with the med bag. And then, you know, the days that I'm not there, he has one in his truck as well, and so he was. He was going to cover that, and then that way we would definitely nail down that.
Speaker B: Yeah. WB1G can't. Definitely can't hurt. If anything, it helps. And kind of. Kind of nice to know that we've got a, you know, medics and emergency response folks there, you know, just in case. It's not if but when or not. Yeah, let's put that backwards. You know what I meant. WB1G.
Speaker A: All right. Getting the call. Gotta go. Talk to you later. N6EMA.
Speaker B: I love it, man. Life of a professional right there. WB1G. And Tom, let me know here. I'm gonna go out to the truck and clean it up because I got to take the kiddo back to school today. She flew in last night. Surprised the wife and I from a little trip she was on, so we got to bring her back to school. But I'll be by my mobile and can continue to give you RF if you need it. WB1G. All right, very good there.
Speaker A: Thanks, Smitty.
Speaker B: Yeah, I'm just kind of doing some testing here, so.
Speaker C: Very good.
Speaker D: Thank you.
Speaker A: And yeah, enjoy your time with your.
Speaker B: Your daughter. 6 size K. I'll be here for about three more cups of coffee if you need help.

W6h k o6i h j.

Speaker A: Yeah, it's a little past 9:30, so Ryan's probably getting lunch for the. Well. Number one, lunch. Number two, lunch. Number three, lunch. K06ISK monitoring.
Speaker B: It's good to see you last night there, lair bear. I didn't realize how tall you was there, buddy.
Speaker A: Yeah, I'm one
Speaker B: of those big scary dudes at the Teddy bear. I understand why Ryan named you that now. That makes a lot of sense.
Speaker A: It was good seeing everybody there and looking around the Ruby thinking, wow, this is our group of people. We're all the same age, all the same interest, and all the same bald spots.
Speaker B: Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Absolutely. I'm in the mobile now because I realized that I don't have. So I buy usually like a case of my favorite industry drinks on Amazon. So Amazon usually likes to send them to me when they have them. And if they don't, they send me what they can. And then so I ordered like four cases and they sent me one. And that was about a week ago. So that's about a month ago. So 12 change or so. So now I gotta go hunt down some more quick before Heather comes pick me up. We're gonna go play bowling, so. Hey.
Speaker A: Awesome, awesome. I'm sure glad you like those energy drinks. I tried drinking one of those and my heart feels like it's about ready to pound out of my chest. But in all retrospect, I will say I put together a muscle car using five hour energy drinks because I was working full time.
Speaker B: Yeah, they don't do it for me. I don't know why. I mean, I used to drink coffee and stuff, but it's. I don't know. I guess it's time for coffee again. But I don't want to get all connected to that. I'm pretty happy with the way that I got it going right now. So junk food, junk food and more junk food. Yep, that's how it works.
Speaker A: Roger that. That sounds good. I'm gonna let you go. You made. You said coffee. I looked over and I went, damn. I never refilled that the last trip out. So good hearing you. Good seeing you. Yeah, I'm the tall, ugly guy that looks like some kind of thug out of the 1970s.
Speaker B: You're all right, Barrett. All right, you guys have a good day. This is game six, wq. Just 170.

Kb 6 ssn ko 6 size j. Kyo bravo 6 yara sierra november this is kyo oscar 6 india hotel juliet. The big boy voice out there.

Speaker A: Negative contact with kd6ssn. This is kilohasker 6 envy hotel juliet monitoring with fresh coffee.
Speaker B: Hey, Larry, you still trying to get a hold of Ryan there?
Speaker A: Yeah, I do this once in a while just to get out there and right now I'm just trying to burn the repeater time up till 10 o' clock like normal we would on the coffee break tonight, see if it holds. How you doing?
Speaker B: Still trying to find my drink. I can't find it anywhere, so I had to settle with something I don't usually go with. So I just maybe try something new because I can't ever find it anymore. So on the way back to the house right now, I think Heather should be there and then we're going to go play bowling, I think.
Speaker A: All right. If you're like me, and I hope you're not, something comes new in the market. You're like, oh my God, this is the cat's meow right here. I love this stuff. And they discontinue it like a month later.
Speaker B: Yep, that's pretty much what it's like. The company is called Bing and then flavor is called Black Cherry Vanilla. I don't know, I just like it. Ever since I tried it, I just like it and. And I've been drinking it for almost,
Speaker A: I don't know, six years or so. It's been a while.
Speaker B: And all of a sudden it's really hard to get a hold of. Seems like they make like a little batch of it and then they go off to this other crap that they got.
Speaker A: I don't know why. I just can't believe well enough.
Speaker B: Roger that. Yep.
Speaker A: That sounds too much familiar.
Speaker C: Like I said, everything, all the.
Speaker A: All the different, you know, the mountain view thing. Mountain view thing. There was one that they were all voting on to get the. The one that I like the best. Didn't make the cut.
Speaker B: Yep, yep. You know, kind of like the. Like that burger from Carlos Jr. That, that with the. With the barbecue sauce or whatever. It was so good. And it's good on too, that thing. I was eating those almost every day and they lost the customer because of that
Speaker A: cowboy whiskey. Charbroil.
Speaker B: Yeah, they were using that bourbon sauce. Right. That Bourbon
Speaker C: burger. It's called the Bourbon Burger.
Speaker A: It's what it was called.
Speaker B: Man, that thing was so sweet and tangy and.
Speaker A: Oh, man, it was. Oh, I get you. I get you. All right, good look on that. Good look on that search out there.
Speaker C: That sucks.
Speaker A: I'm just sitting here monitoring and like I said, trying to keep the repeater going, see if it goes down until 10 o' clock and we'll say we call it a good. We try to get the coffee breakneck going on a semi low profile here. I don't hear anybody else.
Speaker B: Yeah, roger that. I just got back to the house.
Speaker C: I settled.
Speaker A: So we'll see how it goes. This is Fantic from eq. Good luck. Let me know later how that turned out. Ko6ih73. Ko6ihj kb6luv.
Speaker C: What's going on, Beaker?
Speaker A: Ah, Mr. Love. How you doing, Brett?
Speaker D: Yeah, you like that?
Speaker A: I sent that one. I sent what you sent to Tom. He had a good chuckle out of that. It was like, oh, that matches well.
Speaker C: Yeah, I saw that. Made me giggle.
Speaker B: Giggle out loud.
Speaker C: And I'm not normally a giggle out loud kind of guy, but that one definitely made me giggle.
Speaker A: So what's all the game plan, Sam? Is your mom still around?
Speaker C: Yes, sir.
Speaker A: Yes, sir.
Speaker C: Thanks for asking. Yeah, she's actually in town for another three weeks, thankfully and blessedly so. So low pro game plan today. Wife and I celebrated our anniversary wedding anniversary yesterday, which we did on purpose to deflate the Hallmark holiday that I think today is.
Speaker A: Roger that, that's pretty smart. Unlike myself. I got married. Okay, now here's the kicker part. Oh God, I still can't remember it. She. Her birthday was July and I got married in June and it was like almost the same day as her birthday and our anniversary, but different months and I always messed it up.
Speaker C: Yeah, that's not necessarily a good thing per se. But you know, hey, life is. And for my wife and I, we celebrate love every day.
Speaker A: Right?
Speaker C: So that's how that goes. Today is just another normal day for us.
Speaker A: It's a bonus day.
Speaker B: Love,
Speaker A: Your radio is on the right frequency. This is the home of staff. Yeah, buddy.
Speaker C: So nothing on tap today.
Speaker A: Maybe some Netflix.
Speaker C: Sun is shining. Might get outside and get a little ride on a little red scoot goot through the neighborhood and
Speaker A: yeah, so I'm
Speaker C: in the final stages of getting my go shack completely together. So I'm excited about that. I've got two more pieces of the puzzle that are coming in the next two weeks.
Speaker A: Yeah, I don't have nothing except for
Speaker C: a go pack yet.
Speaker A: I wait to get my car back and then I'll get something and throw it in there. So that's going to be the thing I'm going to be throwing on today. Excuse me? Today I'm going to tear apart that Henry we 50 saw. I don't. Did you See that, Henry, at the house here, A good big stand up box of death?
Speaker B: I did.
Speaker C: And I think you know, that.
Speaker A: Isn't.
Speaker C: Isn't that the box where, you know, death lives on the inside?
Speaker A: That's what I was told. Then my daughter comes out after I got out here, she comes out later, she goes, ooh, what's that? I go, I've been told death lies within that box. And she stepped back and she goes, oh, my God. Guys, you guys work on some cool stuff. Yeah, just don't touch the wrong thing.
Speaker C: Make sure no power is connected and
Speaker A: all resistors have powered down. I was power generation equipment repairer for the government for seven years. I've been. I understand and respect electricity wholeheartedly, trust me.
Speaker C: Oh, I know you do. I know you do, for sure. Yeah, I know your background and yeah, buddy, you gotta respect electricity for sure. You know, even 110, you know, under the right circumstances can cause problems. Especially if you have electricity issues inside your own body.
Speaker A: Right.
Speaker C: Pacemakers or even, you know, an offbeat heart rhythm. Electricity can cause problems.
Speaker A: Yes, sir. If it goes right to right out one side, you're okay. If it goes from right to left or left to right across, that's when things go bad. Yep.
Speaker C: Buyer beware, right? So. Cool beans, my man. Well, thanks for entertaining the repeater a
Speaker A: little bit this morning.
Speaker C: Morning I woke up and heard silence and was like, oh my gosh, what was going on? I had to even do a quick radio check inside on super low wattage.
Speaker A: Like, is my radio broken? I did the same thing. I was like, wait, what's going on here? So I grabbed the, grab the, the bow thing over here and I have a roof you found. So it was in a box. I'm like, okay, this one's broke, that one's broke. Two thumbs up.
Speaker C: Yeah, I'm sure we all went through a quick equipment check this morning. So again, I know net control folk are out there working on it, still checking things. So thank you for what you do. We all really, really appreciate it. You know, you sent us all into
Speaker A: a quick equipment check because we were
Speaker C: all in the remission or not remission.
Speaker B: What is it?
Speaker C: Just missing. Missing out on the coffee break then. So anyway, I'm gonna get back to life. Nice cuso with you, sir. Have yourself a wonderful day. Take care of yourself. Take care of each other. KB6L U V Be of love 73 clear.
Speaker A: Be good. Good hearing you out here. You have to catch up with your mom. You gotta be here bringing away these meetings or something. Would be nice to put a face to a name. K06ISJ73 have a blessed day. You guys are all full love this morning.
Speaker C: I love it.
Speaker A: WB1G WD1G. Hold on, let me get my notes here. I'll give them to give you a country name that I picked up yesterday that I've never heard. Oh yeah, I even had to text Tom to go, okay, N A M I B I A. And he types back, nam B U Namibia. Yes, sir. And you know what's really fun about this Olympics thing going on? All the little flags on the Olympics that they're showing that this is from here, this is from there, this one's from there. And you realize I got that flag. I got that flag.
Speaker D: Yeah, it's pretty cool, right? Good to know I'm not alone this morning. Last night after the meeting had played a lot with ampersand, which is if you were in the shack is in new ASL client that you can use for a number of different functions. And so last night, because I was bored and you know, whatever, I built a standalone ampersand machine that was open to the public Internet in my environment that I could use to relay through, like connect my mic up to my shark device up to and kind of loop loop through and steer it that way. And so I woke up and turned it on and I'm like, oh, God, it broke overnight. No, it didn't break overnight. There just was still coffee break. So I was right there with you guys.
Speaker A: Yeah, I think there was a whole bunch of withdrawals going on this morning and people grabbing all sorts of different radios and trying it. You can almost, you can almost hear the panic in the voices when they did come through.
Speaker D: Yeah, what did I do?
Speaker A: What did I break?
Speaker D: Hold on, let's check this wire. Yeah, that, that, that moment of, of amateur radio engineer kicks in and your
Speaker C: brain starts going, okay, well let's see.
Speaker A: Is it a routing issue? Is it this? Is it that.
Speaker D: Oh, oh, maybe we're just not doing it.
Speaker A: I grabbed two of my battle things over here that I got hooked up for scanners and putting that so I can monitor both of them. Didn't work. I was like, okay, three out of three can't be wrong here. So it must be a repeater,
Speaker D: You know. Happy to know I'm not the only one. That is really a good purpose for a Baofeng. I actually have two Baofengs that do that full time that act as scanners for, for VHF public service. And I actually use them to get audio Into Broadcastify, if you believe that. So great minds think alike. They actually make pretty decent scanners.
Speaker A: Really. They do. I have one set up for all the trunkings for Plaster County, Auburn, Lincoln, you know, the police, ambulance and everything. I got one dedicated just for that. And then I got one that's dedicated to repeaters that I use all the time here. And I don't have that one on scan because I can just go bump up and put it over to where we're repeater I want to listen to. And then use this. And use this K2 3185 over here to go ahead and talk on. But yeah, I gave you one more pro tip if you want to hear it.
Speaker C: I was just taking a sip of
Speaker D: coffee right when you. Right when you gave it back to me.
Speaker A: But sure, yeah. What's the pro tip? I also got one of these little 20, if not less digital recorders that sits in the box next to the BAO things. So if I leave the room, there's something going on that I need to, you know, maybe pay attention to or something like that. Or I leave it on during the day and it records and stops and records and stops and something comes on. But I can rewind that back and find out what I missed during the day from a voicemail radio. That's my pro tip. I'm in. Nice. Well, look at you, man. Mr. Resourceful.
Speaker D: All right, well, I'm gonna step out. I'm in the vehicle and I'm at my destination. So I'm gonna hop out, head inside. But good talking to you, brother.
Speaker A: WB1G73. WB1G KS6IHJ73.
Speaker C: And there was a comment out there.
Speaker A: Come on in. Comment. Water. Fine and no.
Speaker C: And it's clothing. Ab6l, u v. I'm definitely wearing shorts, thank you very little. So anywho, pro tip number? You know, one was yours. Here's one B. I do the same thing with my scanner. Are you ready for this one? I don't even have to go back and listen to the files. I feed those files into AI and search that way and gives it back. I look for specific, you know, skill, scanner codes, etc. And then I can go back and then listen to that specifically.
Speaker A: Oh, look at you, Mr. High Techie Techie. Oh, you've been over my place. You saw my box. I'm not no high techie techie.
Speaker C: Well, if your recorder has the ability to. If it saves those into a file, then you can take that file, pop it into your computer, and Then run it through AI Gemini Quad. Lots of free stuff out there.
Speaker B: Yeah.
Speaker A: As it sits now as I put it on the auto record and nobody's hearing the noise. I get a lot of repeater ID through the day. That's about it.
Speaker C: So you don't even have to go back and listen to all that computer ID stuff, right? You just go, you know, go in, pop it into AI, query what you want to find, and then have it tell you where on the recording that it is. And then you can just go back and listen to it from that point.
Speaker A: I figure what you're putting down now. Okay, that's actually a pretty good idea. Now, all this pro tips back and forth, me and you. It kind of almost sounds like we're a stalker. Something. I'm just saying. Asking for a friend.
Speaker C: So here's the thing. I am a professional stalker. That is what I do, you know, professionally. What makes my bread and butter. But I have sworn to use my powers for good only.
Speaker A: That's right. Your recruiter. Myself, I'm just even. Even at the military level. I was. I was the one that sit back in the corner. Nobody noticed, and I just took notes and. Yeah, I love it.
Speaker C: The quiet ones you got to be afraid of.
Speaker A: Hi. Hi.
Speaker C: Yes, sir.
Speaker A: All right. I'm let you go again.
Speaker C: I got a.
Speaker A: It's a busy day. I'm doing the back and forth thing from the. From the desk here and clean up the shack. I might be doing a couple of videos here. One of the Henry in one of the Stairway to Heaven boxes that we have here for us. Tom. Sweet. Well, go kidder.
Speaker C: Done, my man. Have an amazing day. You Happen to see KB6SSN Alamo said hey catch up with you in the near. Have a Blessed day, sir.
Speaker A: KB6 luv be of love.
Speaker C: 73 clearly listening or at least clear.
