This is Kilo Delta six. Mike, tangle with you, California, with a close little qsp. All right, Creations, welcome to Carla Once again, this is Kilo Delta 6 on Kendal Whiskey Quick Portal QFC here at 121234 this morning, there will be a SpaceX launch out of Vandenberg Spaceport space here in Central Coast California. And it should be very visible tonight, including 13 Western states. So that encompasses all of the Carlet systems. So if any of you guys out there, space bugs or rocket bugs,
Come, come out and take a watch and should be pretty good. Clear skies are reported now most of the area. So yeah, you guys are night crawlers. There you go, Kilo. Delta 6 Mike, San Diego speed once again. SpaceX launch at 1234, California local time. That is all. Delta 6 Mike Tango whiskey this November X ray Chicko. Thank you very much. I'll keep my eyes out. Absolutely. And if you just happen to be here on the central coast of California, I'll be running the Vandenberg launch Net over on 4441.
One local system wide, county wide repeater system here. Don't know if I'll have any takers, but you know, hey, if I don't, maybe I'll pop over here and you can tell me if you see it. Kilo Delta 6 might think of a. Okay, Roger. Too far north on System 2, San Francisco, but I've seen it from going from Davis to San Francisco, at least a daytime launch and so Highway 80. So I think we can see something. Absolutely, absolutely. You know, I use a couple different. I use SpaceX.com website, but I'll be space monkeys and.
Base. Monk has a visibility map cutting the time after launch and yeah, you'll definitely be able to see it there, but yeah, maybe just a little too far for connecting down here to San Luis Fisco county for some uhf, so. Hey, good stuff man. Glad you excited. I am too. This is gonna be my birthday when that thing launches, so I got a birthday rocket. Happy birthday. And yeah, what a way to celebrate. And we'll keep an eye out for it. There's no fog tonight, so hopefully we over be able to see something in the south and hopefully put a few more Starlink satellites up.

And thank you very much. Hey, I'll stick around for a couple minutes in case any stations have any questions or want to get in. Oh, and guess what Sounds like the International Space Station about ready to pass over me. I'm gonna go see that one. Maybe have to jump in the truck and fire up the 50 watt rig and see if I can get an astronaut to wish me happy birthday. A little premature, but that'll be okay. I'll be here. See you on the Delta 6. My finger whiskey. Sounds good. Best of luck and happy birthday. NX.
Interesting. Interesting. Hey folks, looks like the National Space Station is going to be ripping on down the west coast here and should start to be visible in Oregon here in just a minute or two. And come all the way down and come through Southern California. That's got a good brightness report on it. So it may or may not be visible maybe on the dark side back, but see if we can't see it and if anyone wants to jump over and see if they got that repeater working again, I'll be on the other side. Kilo Delta 6, my Kangelisk.

And. Six. Hey, I've got you. John. Steve is. I don't know. He doesn't have a microphone he can grab right next to his HF station. I don't think so, but he's out there maybe listening N6TRG. Yeah, Mike. Yeah, I was with the CNT on my SCR and I was hearing Steve as well.
Yeah, this. This frequency here. I gotta wait until the sun moves before I can really hear you. You're barely in there. It's conditions on this VHF there. Anyway. I'll let you. Let you go there. I just wanted to let you know that I did hear Steve and you, plus those other guys on sd. Yeah, I'm looking at myself. Well, see, I. I run a bunch of STRs in my ear. No one would ever know I had all that going and. Makes a huge difference. I never talk when there's a double because the minute somebody else starts talking, I let go and all kinds of things like that. But, yeah, I'm not surprised that the signal is real weak with the short distances that can.
Be all that is causing my signal to be weak to you. But Steve, there's more going on because he's even weak in the KFS also. I'm listening here too. Can you hear Steve John, right now you're barely breaking. That's both of your courses. It's because of this conditions up here barely break. I heard him in there. I heard. I know it's steep because of his voice. I can't understand what he was saying. And that's not his fault or anything like that. I think it's this condition. It gets.
Better up here, but no, I just wanted to let you guys know I heard both of you on the SDR and that I'm listening to one over String Town. You know, Steve was a little weaker than your station, but. But very, very good. Hey, too. Well, that's cool. Okay, so maybe it's just between him and I. Although, like I said, I had trouble with him on KSS also, so there was a lot of background noise. I never heard that background noise on before Steve. But anyway, yeah, it was a pretty good morning all together. Generally speaking, everybody was really clear. Yeah, I'll let you go, Mike. Like I said, I can barely. You're barely coming in up here.
Again, it's nothing wrong with the radio. It's just conditions. So God bless you guys. And this became six. SLM will be monitored. Well, Steve, do me a favor. Not Steve, but John, do me a favor. Are you listening on that radio that has two sides? Has two sides. And you can put two different frequencies in and hear them both? I think it was a 300. Are you, are you using that radio? Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'm using it right now. Yeah. Well, on the other side, put 146715 in there. Yeah. Hold up. And then have them both running. And, you know, you might to want.
Want to turn, you'll probably end up turning down the one direct from the repeater. But. Yeah, try that. Okay, so I get it right. It's 7, 1 5, right? Yeah. 146715. And Steve, you may be able to hear john direct on 146715. I would not be surprised. And he can hear you direct on 146715. Pretty doubtful over here. Not running five watts. He doesn't. Even if he sometimes hears me on the 5:2, then on Thursdays at 50 watts, then there's a chance. Yeah, that's what I'm going by, is what he heard on the 5:2. So if you're running 5 watts, that you're probably right.
I don't think I could even hear you on 5 watts. I don't think you can hear me on 50. I think I can. It's. It's kind of distorted and stuff, but, yeah, I think I can. So, John, is that set up and are you hearing me good on the regular channel? 36? Steve, if you can read me, see if you can Hear me on five, two. I'm on transmit right now. KN6SLS.
Yeah, apparently not there, Mike. So if you can relay that back to Steve there. But yeah, yeah, I was on that SDR, matter of fact, on this 10 meter antenna I was listening to, I could hear them on, of course I was on, on 3855 there. I can hear you fine on the repeater, but yeah, I couldn't hear you on five, two, over. Okay, Steve, it's getting better. Like I said, when the sun moves over a little bit, I start hearing better. But there for a while it was like you couldn't hear hardly anything. But yeah, it's starting to get better. Yep. And I don't know, the only other comment I have is I listen on my non resonant antennas all the time, just listening. So, you know, sometimes I hear better on.
Say here 75 meters or something on a 20 meter antenna. I don't know why, I think it's just maybe the fact that there's less other noise coming in because it isn't resonant. I don't know what it is. Maybe Mike can explain that one. But if I'm just receiving, I listen on any antenna I've got sometimes. Yeah, well, I was up at 5 o' clock this morning, had the SDR turned on, I guess about 6 o'. Clock, I figured 38, 62 I think was there was a bunch of guys on there from Rockland, you know, all over, having a net and I just tried my HS there and I could hear them. Of course I didn't transmit because I'd be, you know, be all freak steer, whatever.
But anyway, like I said, I could hear them just as plain as I could the SDR. But then here just a little bit to 38:55. And I heard you guys on this. Oh, well, giving a little bit of a break there in case Mike wanted to come in, but thought maybe he had something to add to that whole discussion on, you know, antennas that aren't of the correct frequency but however, sometimes they can hear better. You know, I think a lot of it has to do with the place, the location of the antenna. Like, right now, my antenna is way different than it ever was. So trying something a little different. So anyway. But yeah, I don't know. And I've tried.
W.
I've transmitted on different, like say a 40 meter dipole. I've transmitted on, you know, 40, 20, 15, 6 meters, 10. But I use a tuner, you know, so hey, if you have a good enough tuner, you can do it. I'm not saying that you're going to be efficient, but you know, it's possible anyway, you know, he runs Nano vna so he could use just a manual tuner. Work everything out. I know. Like that Heath kit when I had that I sold for 40 bucks. It was a huge box, but it would, it would tune anything. It was probably good up to legal limit too. I think it was up to 2,000 watts. It was good for. But a huge big Bow Ranger thing and it was working. It could have used a little cleanup, but it was working. But manual tuning on, that's the way I did it. I just took my analyzer and got it to be where it was close to one to one as possible and hooked up the antenna and I was done.
I've got a home built manual tuner with a really nice loading coil in it and it's got everything, but it doesn't have the vacuum capacitors, but it has great capacitors in it. It's good for 1500 watts. Pretty. And I've always needed to try it with the nano vna like I was trying to describe to John. But yeah, I can hear John just great on 715 direct from here. So of course we've got direct line of sight. What do you think about that, John? Yeah, like I said, I couldn't. Well.
On 36. You know, I gotta go to Willows and then it goes out from there. I could barely hear you guys. Anybody, probably a half hour ago when we first started talking. And now it's coming up to like one point, I guess, or on the S meters, about a 2. I can understand exactly what you guys are saying now. Well, if you, you know that side of the radio that has 5, 2 in it. I understand what you're doing. You're still. You were still listening to 36 on one side and had 5, 2 on the other side. Well, if you could go to VFO on that side and put 146715 in, you'd be surprised what's going to happen.
No, no, Mike, that's what I did is I put one 175 in one side of it and then left the repeater on the other side of it. Okay, so it's 146715. Is that what you had in there? Yeah, yeah, it's the transmit side. And you should have heard me on that, but apparently you didn't or Steve couldn't hear me. And, you know, like I said, I put 415 on one side and 715 on the other side. Well, he may be able to Hear you on 715. I don't know that he's listening to 715. He was listening to. The only frequency he put in so far was 5:2. So he might be able to hear you. Direct concept.
I can hear you fine on 715. But that's I, you know, we both know that that's pretty normal. Yeah, yeah, I hear you there. But, you know, like I said the other night, I was hearing my other Steve on there, and I thought I was getting in there, but I apparently not. But I get on. I can hear, you know, how you, you know, somebody's voice, but you can't really understand what they were saying. Now, that was due to the fact we got the apologetically well, see, if, if you're talking about 711-46715, like he said, he's running 5 watts right now. So if he's running 50 watts, you might be able to hear him like you did on 5:2. Yeah, I understand that. I'm only using beginning to the review. We're talking.
Probably about 20 watts. And because I got my radio turned down and, you know, like I said, the repeater can't make it back up here or the condition. It'll get better as the day goes on. Yeah. So great. Yeah. I had some people asking about the connection with Antarctica and when and where and all that sort of thing, and I couldn't remember exactly. So because I only listen with JSA Cole, I wish I would have elaborated because the guy got a CW contact with a guy in Arizona that hasn't quite been successful. And I don't know what's going on with the guy in Arizona. He should be able to work.
This out. He's really remote, but I think he's got a solar array that has like a. It might have. MVVT controller in each array or something like that going on in each solar panel. They have solar panels that have, have that capability of where they have like multiple mvvt. Mvvt. If I'm using mppt MVVT solar chargers in each panel. See, so he was talking about when you first put that on, that he had a bunch of noise. What it is, John, is a solar charger controller that.
100% digital. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not sure what mine is. There may be mmt. I believe that's what it is, MMT controller. Now, I do realize that if I get up next to it, I got noise, but yeah, I don't know, I'm not going to change it out. But anyway, like I said, there's probably a lot of, a lot of noise around down there and, you know, we'll just see what happens. But, you know, they, there's a lot of ham operators down there, they come over and fix anything. Well, it's amazing how well you're coming in on 1-4-6-7 1.
Five. I'm running a radio that has three wind frequency windows. Right now I've got 715 in the lower one and repeater in the middle one. But it doesn't switch automatically. It doesn't have any kind of priority that I know. I mean, it may have all that, but I haven't figured out how to do it yet. This is just a portable. Yeah. Well, I'm gonna have to get me a 80 meter antenna and join in on Sunday morning. There are several nets going on starting about 5 in the morning, probably earlier than that. But I'm not gonna get up early, so I have to get up. 80 meter there. Let me count those. Well, you know, one way people do it with. Are you running that to inverted V radio?
Right now. Yeah, yeah, that 10 meter and then I got this 20 meter. But yeah, I went over. Steve, are you in there? You. You know about. Ask Dave, I'm sure on how to build 40 meter antennas and 80 meter antennas and stuff like that out of nothing. Yeah, I watched him yesterday. I got the measurements for 40 meter, 33ft on each side and throw it up. Go to talking. Well, he's grabbing a cup of coffee. So what I wanted to say was that you could. I think you talked about this.
You know what a fan dipole is, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I know exactly what you hook them all together. I mean, you know, I sit here, you know what it is, so I don't have to explain it. But. Yeah, that's going to be quite a little project to get all those lined up. You get a 49 to 1 and hook it up and. Yeah, you know, it's. That's quite a little project. But making a 40 meter is not going to be that hard. It doesn't seem like it was. Well, a fellow up in Yreka, I thought it was a pretty good ham. I don't know what was going on in his life, but he was being given a real hassle by.
A guy who's no longer even in the United States, so. But he was in Yreka, and he's a good ham. I. I thought he was great, but he had a fan typo, all frequency, and we had great communications between Yreka and here on 80. So, just so you know, if you get that going, you're gonna love that. I mean, you're gonna be able to switch fans to wherever you want to go pretty easily. And you could probably. I don't know. I mean, I don't know what kind of a tuner that guy has, but I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, the main reason you want to use a fan dipo, is so you can have low SWR on every band. I mean, although, if it wasn't for that, why would you bother with a bandaipol? So that's what I'm thinking.
Oh, yeah, Yeah. I mean, they're nice. It's just it's a lot harder to tune, from what I understand. And, but, you know, you spending, I I'd say the way I work, I work an hour a day, today, two hours a day, something like that. So it may take me a week or so to put one of those up. And you don't have to go down to Home Depot and get some wire or use speaker wire or whatever. But like I said, it'd be quite a project other than just putting some coax together and stuff like that, you know, for the 40 meter. Well, the way the way he did it, I think, is the way that a lot of people do it. If you look at some of the antenna manuals and so forth, what they'll show.
Is one support one. One pole in the air, and then the. All the wires are kind of like, hanging off of the longest wire. I don't know that I would do it that way. I would have, like, the 10 and the 20 going, maybe one of them going east, west, and one of them going north, south. Or maybe make the 80 go north, south, and. And the 20 go east, west, and maybe put the 10 in between the two or something. You see how I'm talking about it? Spreading them out, angle W. Yeah. I'll tell you what, Mike. It's starting to get pretty.
Signals going south. I could barely got about half of that there. So I'm gonna let you run. And, Steve, if you're in there, we'll talk to you later as well. And. And like I said, I'll be on there later on Saturday. Probably get better. And, you know, we gotta go take care of some stuff and drink my little coffee here, so. All right, what's much later this week? KN6, SL5, mobicoin. Okay, well, real quick here, before you go, I want you to try this on the other side where the 5. 2 is put in 146715. And then you'll have the input and the output one on one side of the radio, one on the other side of the radio. If you could try that real quick here, just on VFO on the side that had the 5. 2 in it, I think you'd be surprised what happened.
So maybe you had to go and. Yeah, I highly recommend that you get set up so you can have that even as a channel. My. One of my radios had a single button. The 8900 had a single button, and I could switch it so that it did that with one push of one button. All right, talk to you later. N6TRG, If you can hear me, Mike. Yeah, I can hear you clear as a bell. Of course, we're talking direct on that one. That seven one five. That's just like Simplex there, but.
Anyway, what talks do I. Okay, it's six. Yeah, that's what I'm trying to tell you. That is the way. I think a really good way for you to operate on the repeater would be to have the input in the radio. Thing is, people like Steve weren't running 5 watts are just going to be squats noise on that other side. So anyway, yeah, great. You got it going. And I don't know if the 300 has single button. So you can push one button and have this combination on one side and on the other side have the repeater. I don't know if the, you know, the 300 has a single button version of doing that, like the 8900. But it's a cool way that if you have that, it's a cool way to go. All right, talk to you later. And this is TRG.
What I need to set up is, like, on this radio, have my fire on one window, have 715 on another window, and have repeater on another window, because it has three windows. And then have it so that it. Well, I don't know that it can hear two of them at the same time. Like a 8900 could, but that'd be cool. Not asking a lot of a portable, but this port, if any portable can do it, it's just a rat tail.
All right. N6 grg back on the ilinko 36 local.
The gear's west. Repeater frequency has been changed. It is now. It is now on 1.46.895 minus PL 123. I received 46.895 minus PL 123 W6R H C repeater check 1.
Kilo 11-6-Mike Golf kilo. Hey, Steve. Boy, it's strange, the bands, the way the bands are working. I don't think I'm hearing Hawaii on anything, but I'm not sure 15 MHz has. I'm talking WWB here. 15 MHz has very distant, unusual time stuff going. I don't know what that, what that is. It's not WWV or WWVH in Hawaii. I mentioned to John before about putting the elements of a of the.
Or dipole and different orientations. Anyway, even taking one of the. Excuse me, Taking one of those metal connectors, you know, and, you know, the connector that connects the two elements together, you could just string other elements off of that same spot. That's what I've done before, so. So works just fine. Anyway, so, yeah, I'll put, like, say, the 40 meters north, south, and I'll put the 20 meters, you know, or east, west, that type of thing. Well, I think the people that have the worst problems with tuning run them all the same direction, you know, and have one, the shorter one, maybe below, I don't know, below the others. And that changes the angle. Angles makes it so you can't mess with the angles as much as.
Where if you change orient them different directions, you can mess with the angles any way you'd like to have it. But the ARRL Antenna Handbook has kind of a special one where all. All the elements are like. The longest one is on the top, and then all the other elements are hanging from the longest element. I just don't think that's a very smart way to go. It makes it compact.
You there, Steve? Yep, yep. Sipping on my coffee. Your radio, this VHF radio is not in the same place as your HF stuff, correct? No, it's all there. My wife lets me have way extended upon it, but. Oh, this is about 6 foot by 8 foot space. Yeah, that's where I can keep my gear. Well, unfortunately, I think I've spread it all over this whole room and she gets mad at me. Okay. Yeah, that. I think it was that bedroom on one end of the house or something like that. It seems like. I remember you were. We talked about that a little bit.
Yeah, I don't think I had the radio on. If I did, it was in receive only. I can't remember right now the VHF, UHF1. Until after the net. I had just 9918 going on battery power. Yeah, I don't. I don't. When that. That net's on, I don't run the VHF at all. Because, you know, the fire comes on and interrupts what everybody saying with the way at my current configuration. But, yeah, with John, I switched over to the rat tell, and I could switch. I could put 71 5, and it's got three windows. I could put 715 in one window and 115 in the other window. And the third window has fire. But I haven't figured out how to make it so that it does what all these other Chinese radios.
Do and what I figured out how to do on the Olinko, which is when one picks up whichever window is transmitting first. The only problem with that is there's no priority, you know, and none of the things that scanners used to do. So fire will interrupt what's going on on this repeater. That's not good, The way 20 MHz right now seems to have. I think that's Colorado, although I haven't heard his voice. It isn't Colorado because I don't hear his voice. So I'm wondering where this 20 MHz very strong signal is coming from and.
And it's not Hawaii either. I don't know. I don't know. I turned my HF gear off, so maybe I'll play later if my wife wants to go out or something like that. I got nothing better to do. But for now it's off. And just about ready to turn this one off, too. It's so strange. Like, I can hear his WWV voice from Fort Collins. But you know, the way WWV works is all the different frequencies are on, all the different locations are all on at the same time. And some of them mix. It's all AM and some of them mix. But the carrier, since the carriers are exactly the same,
The Gears Net will be held Tuesday night starting at 7:30pm all amateur radio operators are welcome to join in on the net.
At every location. You don't hear any sign of the carrier, so I run it on a sideband, and I hear it just fine. It's so strange. I can, you know, But I. I don't know. This WWV at 20 MHz could be 100% Colorado. It just seems different. And I hear 25 megahertz even today, so, boy, the bands are open. I don't know what 25 is coming from.
KS 6ank mobile monitor.
From yeah yesterday I was sitting on a frequency calling CQ on CW and I wasn't getting a whole lot of response I was putting out CQ for about 10 minutes I got three contacts all of a sudden someone else got on my frequency and started calling CQ same thing like they didn't hear me at all and they may not heard me at all I don't know but anyway kind of got frustrating so I started to change over to digital Couldn't get that working so backed it all up and left so ick with it I'm done so I'll do it when I have more time I only had one hour to work with so ran out of time so that was a so called failed activation oh was it an actual activation you were trying to do? Yeah I was in a parks on the air spot yeah yep and I would have you know easily got it if I could get people to come back to my.
CQ on cw, but they just weren't. So not sure what the deal was there. I was getting out because another friend of mine, he showed me on the Verse Speaking Network where I was getting. So I was getting out. Just people maybe they had other things to do or whatever, just weren't paying any attention to the podcast at that time. I don't know. Yeah, I got a lot going too right now. A little visit to Oregon coming up. Two days time to set up all the details to make that happen. I was amazed I could get it set up at all.
Okay. Yeah. Well, anyway, yeah, it was nice hearing John out here this morning, but. Yeah, I think I'm gonna take off. I'm gonna get going with something else. Do some work outside or something for a couple hours. Nine o'. Clock. It'll. It'll be warming up here shortly. And I need to eat a little breakfast, too, so I might get away. So. I'll say. Seven. Three kilo. November 6th. My golf kilo. You know that picture you texted me? Was I. What? Did you. You took that picture, it looks like. So was that when you guys were here for the antenna work? No. When was that? Well, it was the day when you were doing that.
Well, what else was going on that day? Were you here? It wasn't the antenna work day, so it was a different day. You were here or something else? No, I think it was a drone. Okay, well, being serious, I think you were here one other day besides the antenna work day. Yeah, I took my wife over there. Remember? That was when. Yeah. Because I wasn't wearing the stuff I usually wear. War wear, for rougher, harder work. Yeah. If it was.
If this picture was on a Windows or even a Linux machine. I could see the dates, but it's a text, so I can't see them. Yeah, I don't know, you probably look up the date, but it was a while ago. Yep. But I took my wife there and you wanted to show her the sheep. And you can tell that you really love your sheep and she enjoyed that. So, anyway, I was just going through pictures yesterday. I tried to do this every once in a while. I haven't done it for a while. And I deleted a lot from my phone because I take a lot of stupid pictures. That one wasn't a stupid picture. But anyway, I'm just saying it reminded me of you, so I thought I'd just send that over to you.
Yeah. I might have a way to see when it happened. Now? Yeah. Okay. As you probably know, every photo has a date attached. Well, I don't know about these days because of, you know, with the GPS on and all that kind of stuff. Like, I have. I'm sure it dates dance and everything, but. Say. What if a person put the wrong time and date in their phone on purpose?
Then would it copy the wrong date and time or would it go off the gps? Well, it can be messed with, but one thing I can say is that this photo was resized at 6:43pm on November 22, 2025 and there's no camera information at all. And it's a 108 by 756, 786 kilobytes. So obviously it's not the original. That information sounds about right because I probably cropped it or something like that, cut out some of the other stuff that was along the edges or something, bring you more into detail or something like that.
I don't know, I do that quite a bit before I send a picture away. Anyway, yeah, I was hoping that I texted a couple of friends to send me some pictures of maybe me operating and stuff like that so that I can upload those to my QRZ page. So I'd like to do that. Anyway, I gotta go something for breakfast or something. Nice hearing you out there. And maybe we'll talk at you later if I'm out and about. I'll say 73 KN6MTK? Yeah, I'm not really familiar with how to operate this phone like I was the Android. Still haven't gotten everything worked out. It does amazing things, so. And alrighty, good talking to you.
And it says grg, by the way. I'll have to get a picture of my Ram to you somehow. He is way bigger than any Ram I've ever owned. And he is quite unusual looking. He's a totally different breed of sheep. So the gene pool is going to change. Talk to you later. N6PRT. So if I have my way, the people who experience this new gene pool are going to be not here. It won't be me. It's all going to be in sales and everybody's going to get what I have now. Doug, do.

Hello, oscar six bravo golf j monitoring. Hey, what was that? Bravo golf what? N6iwhko6bgy. Good morning. How are you doing? The listing classical music or. I was listening to classical music before I.
Here.
Got on the radio, You know, My dad had a good stereo for the time. They called it hi Fi. He used to listen to big band, and they'd always crank it up and I'd say, hey, man, turn that crap down.
Baroque, eric. Baroque. Classic music. So. They're always so good. I mean, yeah. Listening to some of the stuff they play. Oh, my God, they just articulated perfectly. Yeah. You mean you don't know how to play a musical instrument? How about, can you sing? Maybe just boom, tap with your mouth, you know?
Well, I could only sing in the shower or in the car. Hey, I sing. I create music. Hi, High. I hate the sound of my voice, but everybody else says, oh, man. Hey, don't worry about it. Ravel up all this one song that everybody likes called Ripple R I Double L, Ripple Wild, you and me. And it's just a riff, you know? Everybody loves it. They call it my prison song. W E6A X N receiver Call that jailhouse blues. Back when I was a kid, it was Thunderbird.
Ripple and then a cheap wine, Tokay, which I find out later is actually a location where they go to grow the grapes. But Tokay was like, I don't know, you know, 50 cents for a bottle of wine. Oh, my God. Sounds like some Boone Farm in my day. Boy, that's up in Vile. Anything that looks like it's that color should not be adjustable. Oh, yeah, well, there's a lot of stuff out there I wondered about, you know, chemically enhanced wine. You get these big bottles of Cribari Burgundy or something like that, you know, real cheap, and, oh, yeah, everybody just gets blasted and it doesn't feel good.
W6r h c repeater check 3.
It sounds like something Sam's Club offers. Or is it Costco? Oh, Costco, Costco. Costco has their own versions of a lot of the popular alcohols and wines. And I bought a bottle one time. Goodness gracious, that thing was about almost as long as my leg. Well, you know, I was never a drinker. Just happened that way. I didn't really like the taste of it. You know, I've had beers like barbecue and everybody gets toasted, but really didn't care for alcohol. Although I have seen people love vodka. Well, in my opinion, vodka is the one thing you add to other things to make it alcoholic is.
Like, I'll drink a dram of scotch or whiskey or whatever neater, on ice or on the rocks, but never look at vodka that way. It's usually something you add to make something more adult beverage, like. Well, the ones I'm thinking of, they did maintenance vodka. I mean, get up in the morning, wham. Hey. All right, we're ready to go. Now. I used to have a friend that. She passed away, but had a friend that would drink the cheapest vodka she could get, which is that. I think it's pocket vodka. T, A, K, A. And then cheaper, would mix it with tap water. So I was like, man, that is. Oh, boy. You're getting the worst of both worlds on that one.
Yeah. You know, I feel sorry for people who smoke cigarettes because the economy's tough. You know, you don't have the kind of perks that, you know, we used to have. And, like, a cigarette is the last kind of thing. I don't know if you ever smoked or whatever. But these poor people. I mean, poor is right. What's the first thing that corporations do? Raise the price of cigarettes. Also. They tax that stuff and then, you know, they add on. Oh, yeah, we're doing it to protect the public health. Oh, yeah, that's definitely, definitely the case. They raised a lot of things. I know, with the cannabis industry that.
When they reopen the government, they put in a bill that's going to pretty much null and void that. So all that money that comes in from that won't be there anymore. I know each side of the coin. I know some are against it, some are for it. I'm not arguing either way. There goes quite a bit of revenue. I don't know where it went, but they'll funnel it somewhere else. Yeah. You know, I see the pot clubs up here, and they really look nice. Spend a lot of money on, you know, interior decorations of building, you know. So there's a lot of money going in there. Oh, yeah, there definitely is. And then when that goes into full effect, there's a good chance that that industry will disappear.
Hey, I don't want to ask, but did you ever try? I know you have, but edibles people tell me like, you know, the older crowd, people I run into, they use gummy bears for pain. And my sister does that. She gets the non, you know, THC from Amazon. She swears by it. She says, oh, it helps my back. Helps my back. Okay, great. She says, don't sit there and say, oh, great. Just try it and see. Yeah, I'm familiar with those gummy bears and to each their own is what I say. Some people don't like it and it's not right. I mean, it's one thing to be like, hey, you want to try this? But then it's like, ah, you have to try this. You have to. No, nobody has to do anything like that unless they want to.
Well, maybe I'm not getting the right stuff and people will give me. They buy some gummy bears and they don't like it. So they say, hey, hey, Pete, buddy, I don't want your second hand crap. But anyway, I don't care for it that much. Not very pleasant. And it didn't seem to do anything for pain. Although they all say, all these old ports that I run into, they say that it does help. Well, as. As fast as that subject is, there are certain ones that are better for pain than others, and you got to add some, the right stuff. I mean, you pretty much walk into a dispensary, for lack of a better term, and tell them, I want this.
That'll make me laugh. But also put me in the couch for the next eight hours. And it's like, you don't walk into the pharmacy and be like, hey, I need something to do business. But you can walk in there, and usually you'll get what you want. Well, the trouble is. And six iwh that there are so many choices. I don't know what. I mean, you can get. Yeah. Oil for cooking and, you know, I guess. I don't know. But they have all kinds of different things. Pills and grains, doing okay. Whatever. Whatever gets you going. But they have a guard. The one I'm sitting up here, Chico, you know, I'm wondering if they all have guards. Perfect.
Time for station ID KO6BGY. Yeah, they actually, as far as I know, every single one that I've been to has armed guards. They're not all armed, but there's usually one armed person per shift, and you got to get wanded in and make sure you have no weapons or knives or anything. They don't even allow you to bring your keys, usually, depending on the place you go. But, yeah, they. They. They have armed guards. Just like Social Security. Yeah, I hate those guys. Oh, really? I mean, they act like, you know, big tuna fish in the sea here, but, you know, they really don't have a lot of quality. You know, the security guards, like, they're real bad at. That's Social Security, actually. Marysville. And they've got big guns.
Looks like.357 or.44 Magnum. Hey, don't touch me. Yeah, I actually had a less than favorable experience a while back at the Marysville City or Marysville Social Security office. Went in with a client for work, and I know the procedure. Start pitch out, and he wants me. And instead of asking me to turn around, he takes the wand and presses it into the small of my back, almost like a pressure point to instruct me to turn around. And I turn around and said, I'm not cattle. You do not do that. And he's like, you follow my instructions. And it says, piss off. W E6A X N repeater. Oh, hey, tough gu. I don't think they have a.
Right to put. Put their hands on you or. Or touch you, like with that cattle prod. Unless it's a problem. They're trying to stop a conflict or whatever. But, yeah, they act like they're real tough. Oh, yeah. They're not. They walked out of the police academy and ended up at Social Security. They. They're not capable of. And that's the dangerous part, is that they have a gun and they have a power strip. A lot of the time, not all the time. There's a lot of good ones out there, but the bad ones sure seem to tink the room up a lot. Well, you know, I have relatives in Phoenix, and you go out shopping, whatever, and there's a lot of people walking around talking to themselves, and they have a gun straight.
After. Right there. I guess that's open carry. I don't know. And it was like 35, $40,000 or whatever. So it was right there on the shelf. Than it's like, whoa, Half track. Because I've been doing these drives.
Oh, $60,000. You got to buy a handful of them. You have enough parts to fit, you can make one running vehicle out of your whole. If you can get them cheap, that'd be great. Really? You know, I hear they're pretty good off road. You know, they don't get stuck too much. So you're all set for next.
Oh yeah, got a little, the Xyl here, he got a little quarter breast. I like to light meat myself. No, no, no, you don't have to start laughing and saying, oh yeah, I like to light meat but it's a tough time if you're diabetic. Type 2 is, you know, non influence but you have to watch it and you know, there's pie, there's ice cream and I'm going to.
I'm gonna break away for a little bit. Gotta take care of a couple things here at the house. I'll be back. Ko6dty I seem to be having trouble with this radio as well. Roger, roger. Ten, four, two, oh, six, nine.
