Did I just hear flood warnings? Why there would be flood warnings when I don't see anything on radar or rain? How am I missing something? It didn't say flood, but some kind of a coastal event, Just kind of. Yeah, a water thing. But it didn't say flood exactly. But yeah, you heard right. Good morning, Ken. Good morning. I'm looking at the list. Coastal flood warning, dense fog, coastal flood advisory and flood advisory. All right, well, I just backed all those out of there. How you doing, Ralph? Yeah, I do okay. It's weird here today. I'm just getting a little bit of a late start. Not gonna be a lot going on at the office today. Most about half of my management team sent me text messages last night. Hey, boss, if it's okay, I'm gonna make it a long weekend. I'm like, yeah, stay home. Anyway, it's really foggy here. Streets are wet's got a little bit of rain over the overnight, but it's like. It looks like downtown San Francisco, man. There's half a mile of visibility. And I thought some kind of alert is supposed to burn off around 8 o' clock or so, but little change of pace, kind of nice. Well, I know that's working correctly. This does say 10 spot advisory. Clark Imperial, 9 Riverside, and 10 Berkeley. Did those alerts even come out over there? At least I didn't notice. Nope, I didn't hear again. I just turned the radio on. So the. The alert I heard is the one you were commenting on, but yeah, we definitely got dead f. All right. Okay. Well, you enjoy your day and. Good news because I think you're. You may be interested. Looks like Tom's going to be going to Santiago. Sometimes it's mug, so there may be a new all Star node up there sometime soon. Okay, I'm gonna get back to what I was in the middle of doing and thanks for responding back to me there. Enjoy your day and Happy New Year to you. If I didn't already tell you and fix candy. All right, 10. Yeah, no, further east I go here in the valley, the more dense the fog is coming, so pay attention to what I'm doing. Okay. Happy New Year. Have a Good morning. At 7pmd last week, Manually pull this second alert. Okay, take care.

I got the chicken tenders. The five piece, it was six something for five. So about a dollar a piece for a chicken tender. They're not the biggest ones. They look like rat tails that are breaded. They're pretty, pretty thin, but better than Burger King in my opinion. W e 6 a x n rece well, I hope they don't taste like rat tails. It doesn't sound too wonderful. But collecting the food, Best time of the day when they hand you all that good stuff out the window and you're going, yum, yum. I'm hungry. Oh, yeah, definitely. I've been hungry since I. About an hour after I got to work and I was like, well, there ain't no snacks here. And I couldn't get away, so I got away as soon as I could. Ah, so today's your Friday. How are things going at work? No complaints. It's going. Yeah. It seems like a lot of people took the whole week off. Yeah, not Calusa County. They did something different. It's not a big deal. I mean, I'm lucky to have a job. So I'll complain after hours and come to work during the hours. Hey, do you have a union? Most all, I would think county workers unionized. Yeah, we're. We're a union over here. The Colusa County Employee Association. I believe that's what it's called. Tcea. Do they do anything for you or how does that work? Yeah, they. I've had to get legal. We have a. An attorney on retainer and I've had to use. Use that last year, so that worked out. And then every year you get a coffee mug or a tote bag or something. So I don't know. It is what it is, but they have our back, so that's good. You know, I was a teacher years back. The union, everybody's screaming and crying and fighting with the union. Teachers want to go on strike. A new union is demanding this and that and nothing ever happens anyway. I mean, they don't accomplish anything. Okay, I will call break here for a bit. I gotta get back to the office. N 6 grzk and 6 mgk. 36 local. KN6MGK. This is KN6MGK. Looking for N6GRG. Hey, dude. How you doing, Steve? N6GRG. Is it okay? Just making sure you're aware of the wind advisory starting at 10pm this evening to 4am it specifies that Chico northward is where they're expecting the highest winds, gusts to 35, 45 miles an hour from the south. There's also a flood watch this evening through Monday. Yeah, not looking forward to it. I always hate the wind. But the main thing is to have the place all nice and warmed up before it hits because I gotta usually have to shut the wood stove down. Okay. Yeah, just making sure that you're aware and figured you were. But anyway, so we had a good break today. I was out over there doing a PODA over by the rice paddy area. A lot of nice ducks out and everything and people enjoying the day out there looking at them and stuff either. A guy had come from Tahoe to take a look at the birds, so pretty cool. Anyway. But yeah, I'm back in now for the moment. Wife might want to go out to dinner here in a little bit. But anyway, yeah, expecting some pretty good rain over the next 24 hours. Yeah, those birds are kind of famous. I've seen people even do videos about them. But, yeah, it's a shame the weather has to change because this light rain is one thing, but the wind takes off. Look out. I've got no solar whatsoever. Yeah, I was out there in the rice paddy and stuff, but you go through some orchards and stuff to get there, and there definitely was a few trees sporadically here and there that have been blown over, so got a little bit saturated the roots and stuff. And then in fact, some of them are sitting in puddles of water. So the wind comes up and pushes them over. I guess so. So that's never good for an orchard, but anyway. Yeah, Just want to check in with you to make sure that you're aware. Let me look at the radar. There's nothing in Chico right now, but it's saying that in a couple hours there will be. But looks like it's at the coast. Oh, yeah. Typical storm starts out over there. We're supposed to have a bunch of rain, so that must be part of it. Yeah, but it looks kind of sporadic to me out there by the ocean and heading inland. But it doesn't really look like it's hit the Bay area too much. Yeah, eureka, Whatever. That's pretty normal. But, yeah, I don't know. Maybe I have to look at the satellite image, I guess. Yeah. I haven't talked to John to see for sight, see how he's doing with his. With my. Some of our antenna ideas for him for hf, But I might just go ahead and I can. I can. I think I can text him, though. I think that's what I was doing. So I think I'll text him and see. See what he's up to. Well, on the movement, it looks like a north northeast type of a movement of this particular storm system. So it's edging its way further east here, but still looks to me like it's got, oh, I don't know, a couple hours. But that's not what it's saying on Weather Underground. It's acting like it's going to happen in the next few minutes, but nothing in sight, so I don't know, I'd say at least an hour anyway. Yeah, my phone should take off with another earthquake warning from Susanville. Oh, yeah? Why? Because that is happening every storm. Oh, it's just par for the course. Yeah, They've been downgrading them, though, lately. They say 5.0 or 5.3, then they come back and downgrade them afterwards. Yeah. There was one guy watching on YouTube who claims it's a conspiracy that for some reason he's saying they don't want five to show up. Too many fives to show up. And he didn't actually say why that that was important, but he claimed that if it's close to five, that they're gonna make sure it's not over five. I'm going. Well, okay. I see what this guy's up to. You do? What is it? Because I'd be curious. What are these up to? I don't know. It doesn't make any sense to me either. I mean, it's a scientific type of a thing for me, measurements and so forth. I don't know what else plays into that, but doesn't seem like it's something you can fool around with too much. And I don't know why either. So, I mean, what are you trying to say? I mean, it'd be one thing, I guess, if it was under, like, the Lassen volcano or something there, then I could say, okay, so now you're concerned about, you know, not telling people it's going to blow a stop. I mean, whatever, but it's a little bit of ways away, so. Sounds more geothermal to me. Yeah, well, that was a new one for me, but, you know, he's just got a theory, what can I say? And it's his theory. He owns it. Okay. Sounds more like a hypothesis. Yeah, a theory would have some grade of backing behind it, you know. Then you test the theory out and prove it wrong. Right. Whatever this is, a theory is just a little higher up to me than just putting. Putting bull Bucky out there, you know, and then seeing what it is. I don't know. I have a tinfoil hat, but I don't think mine's as big as his. Yeah, you might have a. Have to have a. You know, if you ever meet him, you'd have to have a competition to see who's got the biggest one. There's that guy up there that does the geoengineering watch. I'm forgetting his name, something Dave Winnington or something like that. Anyway, and he's out of Redding, so I think he's got the biggest hat of them all. I've looked at his stuff and some of it's pretty interesting, but need a little bit more proof, unfortunately. Well, then there's the chemtrail group. It's kind of one of the larger groups, but this is the first time I've heard of a 5.0 group. That's why I say he's probably got his own little group. Very true. So, yeah, I noticed on 20 meters last couple of days that it's short. Know it's shorter than it has been now, 15 meters was longer. You know, I was getting to the East Coast a lot on 15 meters today, but 20 meters, no, 20 meters, that was a lot of more west coast stuff. I'll have to look at the. At the map later, but I had about 30, 30 contacts on CW. But yeah, 15 meters seemed to be going further to the east than 20 did. Yeah, well, I. Let's see, I did get a message from. I was here when it came in from. But I didn't look at it and it turns out it's from K. K7 OSG. He said he hasn't had Jason 8 on in a long time. And I'm just looking. I thought that I had a message on this system for him and if I did it. No longer there. So, Yeah, I'll have to turn mine on pretty soon, see if I can see anything new. But yeah, I don't know, I just been thinking that's been interesting because before 20 meters was pretty. Pretty long too. So to get more west coast stuff like, you know, seven stations and stuff like that, got several Alaska stations on 15 meters was pretty Bombing in. I got Alaska, then I'd get Chile after that. Then I'd get someone I thought was from Mexico, but he didn't respond back. After he gave his initial call, I could hear it was an X something. I did get one Mexican station on 20 meters, but anyway. And then next thing you know, I'd be getting New York and New Jersey. So that's how 15 meters was going. Well, that's cool that 15 meters was like that for you, because they're not. It's one of the least used bands on JS8 that I see. But yeah, K7 oft checked in on 40 meters. That's why I have. Where I had KSA sitting while I was gone. And he left me a message, but he didn't happen to check. You know, you do an all call, a whole call. Do you have any messages? Command. He didn't do it. So my message for him is still sitting in my mailbox. I'll have to give him a bad time. I pretty much talk to him every day on Sideband, you know. Yeah, he sounded real good yesterday. I was listening to him yesterday. I think he was in that control too. But anyway, he was pretty loud. I just didn't respond or nothing. I just was listening. Yeah, I'm not sure what he runs for an antenna, but he's always one of the loudest from Arizona. And he's in Payson. And yeah, he's. He's usually quite loud, but the only one that's any louder is Cammy from eastern Nevada. And she, you know, I know what she has for an antenna. So she's. At least if she's. I, I believe that the same antenna, she's. It is kind of interesting because she, she's no longer doing the school thing, so I think she kind of like retired from that. So I think she's got that antenna though, at her house. And it's one of those skeleton cones like Golf Papa. Well, I've never heard of that. But yeah, First Nation is always pretty loud. I can hear it pretty good usually. So, yep, they can hear Golf Papa pretty good most of the time too. But yeah, guys like BGD has come way down from where he used to be. Yeah. And BGD doesn't know why. And we're all telling him, you know, you're weaker. What's going on? You're weaker, you're weaker. He just says, I don't know what's going on. I need to check it out, find out what it is. I found out what was Going on with mine. My antenna was only working on 40 meters. It would not load up on any other band. And it was especially terrible for 80. And I got out my binoculars and looked at it. Sure enough, one wire had come loose on the double connection that goes from my 450ohm lead to my loop. And so the loop was basically along. Single wire instead of a loop. Yeah, that one station that was, I think checked in with you yesterday, I think it was KN6 red. I think it was. I think that's right. Anyway, yeah, he was pretty loud. He came in pretty good. Well, I fixed that problem either yesterday or the day before. And it was the day before yesterday. And everything's been hunky dory ever since. My antenna, because, you know, this, this tuner remembers the setting for every band for certain frequencies. And it was not happy. Well, the guys out here on 2 meters on Thursday nights been kind of curious if he keeps calling you. But anyway, when you're going to fix that radio so that you can come out on the Thursday night net again, I would have to put the radio over there. I would have to put. Be over there with the radio in order to have a connection with him. Because there's two problems. There's. One is that the radio has a minor problem that I think I can fix. But the other problem is that the, the connection between the radio and over here, which is 70ft long, doesn't seem to work right now. I'm not sure what happened to it, but it doesn't work. So if I run it on the antenna that I have over here, it's not high enough to reach any of you down there. Since it's not a relay net. Now it was a relay net. There are some people that come in. Great. But it's not set up as a relay net. So, you know, you ask for a relay and nobody comes back. Yeah, but it's been several months. I mean, you were gonna fix it. I thought you were gonna either make a new cable or something for that long span. And I don't know what that minor problem was with the radio, but I figured you'd be working, working on that at some point. Yeah, that is planned. One thing that I have to do is set. I, I don't. I probably should do is set up the battery that's in the. I've got a battery in the trailer. And it would have to be set up so that it had a way to charge. And so I need a power supply because it has to be in that camper. Everything's going to have to be in that camper. Can't be. Can't be the way it was. It has to change so. Oh well, just a number of changes and I've been working on that trailer trying to get it out of the way. So it's just a bunch of stuff, but it'll happen. Well, I guess I'm just thinking that like right now you probably can't work on the trailer too much weather wise, but maybe you can work on the radio because maybe it's an inside job, I don't know. I know I'm not one to talk. I got plenty of inside jobs to be working on, so always something. And here tomorrow I think our guys are going to be building some of those little tape measure yagi antennas and I might go up there with them too, see about building one or something. But just for fun. So I'll just waste another day in the rain anyway. All right, well, I think I'm going to let you go. I said my peace with that storm. So you have the information. So I'll be back to monitoring here and I'll listen to your final KN6MGK. Well, one, one project that I set up. See, I've already got it partially. There's enough of it here that I could make it work if I had solar, but without. With a storm you don't have any solar, so that kind of takes that away. But I wouldn't.

To be able to charge that battery in the camper with this system over here and even that's not possible because I don't have any solar right Now I've got 1.26amps and might have gone up to 3 or 4amps today it always seems to it doesn't seem to wipe out the system not having any solar but it not as happy as it would be otherwise so anyway yeah a few more days of this storm and I probably when the when the storm went away I started walking because I had been cooped up so much I didn't want to do any work I just wanted to get out with Rudy and walk and that's what I've been doing. Kj6nkr, system 8, System 19 link up. Good afternoon, hayward. Yeah, this is kj6nkr. My name is jeff and located lake tahoe. Lake tahoe, california. Kind of near the nevada border, Sir. Roger is familiar with that area. Everybody from California is familiar with that area. From down south. Yep, Hayward down by Fremont Bay area. As a matter of fact, handle here is AJ uniform for PO. Okay, yeah, I missed the name but anyways, yeah, I'm familiar with the Hayward, Fremont area there. I've been in the area a number of times going down there to work in data centers and stuff. So anyways, how's things looking in the bay? I bet it's probably lush and green right now. Green and wet and gray. So yeah, we've got that adiabatic river flowing through, so that's where we're at. Should like to see some sunshine because it saps all of the our energy, I think. Oh yeah, copy that. Yeah, I know winter in the bay sometimes can be a little hazy, damp and hazy, but hey, at least all the vegetation is green and everything flush and growing. It's just on the cool side. But let's see, the sun sort of came out today here it's somewhat sunny. It's like a hazy sunny. It's getting pretty windy on the races. I hear there's another storm coming in. The last one was this rain, but I think this one's going to be a little colder and we're going to get some snow around here. So I'm guessing you'll probably get some rain. Roger, Roger. We are definitely going to get rain after you guys get the snow and truth is I'd like to have some of that smell. But that's not going to happen unless I haul my tail up to of course the north end of Reno there. Yep, we'll see what happens. But we don't have that. Let me let this trap thunderstorms and stuff down here in this area. Just a complete wet curtain of mist and rain and I can see no thunder, no lightning, nothing and everything. I kind of get tired of that. Yeah, copy that KJ6 NKR. Yeah, I've never spent a winter away from snow all of my life, but I've definitely spent some time in the bay. Unfortunately most of the time is in a building with jet engines all around me. Well, at least they seem like jet engines, all the fans and computers. But yeah, anytime I've gone outside it always seems like it's 55 or 65 in the winter there. Yeah, I can understand what like in the snow. But you know, you gotta look at it in a positive way. You don't have to do any snow removal. Romantic. I wouldn't mind a little snow removal, especially during Christmas. But yeah, that's the way it is. It's. It's too. It's too temperate. But I've been here for so long that I'm used to it. So. Yeah. What are you, Are you mobile? Sounds like you were walking around there a little bit. I'm talking to you. Let me let the truck you on a sub miniature radio that pushes only one watt and that's all it can push. Looks like a little QRP hd. They don't make this radio anymore. But how does it sound to you? I would say your one watt's fine. You know, I can't tell if the flutter is on my side because. Yeah, I'm mobile. I'm driving back, back home from Kirkwood. I just went out to go ski for a little bit and so coming down looper path here. I should be almost solid copy into the repeater here shortly. But anyways, so yeah, you're on a 1 watt radio. Which, which radio is that? Let's see. I. I don't know the model of mine. It's. I think it's the Anytone 588UV3. It's a tri band analog radio. It goes with See2M 220 and 70 centimeters. I don't know what's the wavelength measurement on 220? Like 1.25 meters. Anyways, yeah, back to you. Just curious what you're on there on your handheld. On the very distinct B ub 3R. And it is also, it's double band dual band, you know, 70 and 2. So it works pretty good. But I call it my toy radio because all my other ones are Yay 2, Yay 2. The Yay 2.4G, the A270D and the Yay 2.5G. And those are heavy radios. So this is my little toy radio on my back on my bed reading a playing consolidator on my phone. Okay. Yeah, I think I know which one that is. Yeah, that's. Isn't that one of the earlier models? It's kind of like the smaller version of the UE5R and it. I don't know, does it have a D pad that might be the one that doesn't have the D pad. That's kind of like the same size as like A. Yeah. 1X or something? I don't remember the version of that. Yay 2 radio. But it was like a mini, mini radio. It's definitely smaller than, you know, like the Yay2FC60. But yeah, I think I know what you're on there, Roger. You're talking about the Yay2 3D architecture. 2D. Those are also. Yeah, same size, no keyboard, no keypad. You got it. So. And we have a little frying bacon going on in a particular system right now. There's a little pop, little bit of popcorn there. They're coming in full quieting. Yeah, that's what it is. My little koi radio. I enjoy playing with it once in a while. I got it for Christmas actually. My wife bought it for me early and I opened up the package, started using it November. So there we go. It's a fun little radio, but that has its limitations, which makes it even more enjoyable, if you know what I mean. 670ft for ID. Roger. Roger. Yeah, KJ6NKR. Yeah, I've had a few of the earlier versions of this foul thing. Yeah, they weren't so good when you were near other RF sources. But if you put in the. What is it? The PL decode. So you know when you're receiving the repeater, it expects the PL tone before it opens as well. So yeah, if you can set that up mine, they repeat or you're talking with somebody else on Simplex and they're transmitting a TL tone. It looks pretty good like that. But yeah, you know, they're bout mags. They're, you know, they're cheaper radios, but they're pretty handy. You know, they're easy to pick one up and if you injured a little bit, no huge loss anyways. Yeah, I think the popping it might be on the. The link from Echo going into wherever the link is. I'm guessing it's probably zaka or something. Mount Zaca probably has direct line of sight with the PayPal system. So it probably picks up a lot of the radar, radar signals that are coming out of. Where is that deal? Yeah, you're on system eight and I'm on system 19. And you're right about the bow thing being disposable, but not this one because I can't get it anymore. You can still get the UV3, the UV5R and the bigger radios, the 8 watts and all the other garbage they've got out there. But this little tiny radio is no longer disposable to buy. Can't get it. Yeah, that one's definitely a cheaper then. Yeah, I haven't seen that radio For a while. So yeah, definitely hold on to that one. And I guess when you're out and about, take that other wild thing. I don't know about you, but I know I have a couple of them. I. I don't even know all the models I have. I have the 5R and you know, whatever the newer models are, the 5X R or something. One that does 220 also so. But yeah, I haven't gotten any of the brand new ones. There's a bunch of new stuff out there. There's even one that does dmr. I don't have that one. I'm pretty much just analog. I fool around on analog radio. Echoing I have Echolink node, all Star node built out of regular radios and Raspberry PI computers. I do a little bit of asap, but I don't get on HDF a whole lot. When I hear it's open, I'll hop on there, Do a little bit of eight step as well. But for clip clarification, I only have one Baofeng. I don't use Baofeng anymore. My other radios are all J2. And you might want to look into. Before you get too deep into dmr, DMR is not, in my opinion, very user friendly and it's not very practical. You might want to look into on the Internet system Fusion or yaesu, which is proprietary to yaesu. They use the. You might be interested in that, your Raspberry PI and your analog movement. Because I'm into analog and don't like all the echo link and all that other stuff unless it's absolutely needed for emergencies. So I'm with you on that. All analog all the way, all ham radio. Okay, roger that. On. Yeah, moving to the YAQ type radios. Yeah, understandable. Yeah, Yaesu's just, you know, they're types of radios. They don't have the RF issues that the Chinese radios have. Even my any tone mobile, it sort of, you know, picks up nearby signals. What do they call it? Intermodulation on different frequency. Different frequencies. But I don't know. It's a pretty decent radio for a mobile. I like it just because it has the remote head on it. You know, you can put the actual radio somewhere else because I have a small truck. I don't have a lot of interior space so it is nice to have that detachable faceplate but you know. Yeah. So Fusion. Yeah. That sounds like kind of an interesting system with Yaesu. Yeah. The reason I mentioned DMR is the local repeater here has DMR on it. But you know I'm not sold on DMR just because one repeater has dmr. Yeah, you can always set up a hotspot or something. So I'll have to take a look at that. But end up getting a newer Ya2 radio. Yeah, I think even my FT60R handheld radio. Doesn't that have a fusion option on it? I know it has that little atomic symbol on the 0bpmf. Is that fusion? Recognizing that as being the symbol for system fusion. We do wires X and that sort of thing. You might want to research it out. But when we do get system fusion it is very full sliding and has a lot more latitude than just normal UHF dhs. So. Which is pretty interesting. Want to do research on that. But unfortunately it's proprietary. That means you got to have YA unless you have a modification to dmr. Because if ya System fusion. Let me let this drop. Lucky cat. Stand by just for a second. I want to make sure I'm on the highest power. Looks like I'm on low power standby.

Right? Yeah. Kg86kr standing by. Ko6 Lua just brought me on effect. I want to see if you guys can pick me up. Both of these can come in loud and clear. But I haven't had a chance to talk on this network yet. So I want to make sure I'm coming in from the repeater over in San Francisco. Lit up. San Francisco System two station. Yeah, I hear you just fine here. I'm in South Lake Tahoe. The other station in Hayward. He was trying to make a change on his radio from low power to high power. I think he only has a couple buttons on the radio. So you probably have to push one button and then another button a couple times to get to the power setting. I'm guessing I have a older Ya2 radio that's probably just like that then. This is KJ6 NKR. Yeah, I was listening in for a sec with you guys. I didn't know how long the delay on this was and I didn't want to bother button in and interrupting guys. But I'm also operating on a little bow thing. Testing a new antenna. The lim hanging out my power window in here. Seeing the reception I get across town. But if you're hearing me, I'm glad to hear that. I'm surprised his little one watt is able to put out enough power there. Sounded like both of you have been coming in very clear here on System. Yeah, the other station, I, I'm not sure which repeater it is that he's coming in on. Maybe it's up on Mount Snow. Just a guess. But anyways, yeah, we're just chatting. He's talking about making a 55 stuff. Anyways. Yeah, your Flint antennas do. Well. Just curious, what bow Tang are you on there? There's probably a hundred different Bow Tang models. I have my own little collection here from when I, I'm fairly new into the whole ham radio space. I accidentally got my general ago, but I was, I was collecting battle things. But the one I'm using right now, which is one of my favorites, is the S8HD Pro. So it's this tri band EWAT one. I don't know. I, I, I've tried a bunch of different handhelds at this point. And this one, I keep coming back to it. It's not the best in a lot of ways, but there's, Yeah, I'm not sure if you meant to drop, but you just kind of dropped out of the repeater. Can you, how am I coming in now? Can you hear me right now? Yeah, you're back in there now. Anyways. Yeah, you sound good. So just curious. So that's a tri band. Is it purely analog or does it be digital too? And what's the third band? I'm guessing that maybe it's 220. This one's pure analog. It's. Yeah, the third band is 220. I actually did get a DMR one. I heard you guys talking about that. But honestly, I was in the same opinion the other guy had that going through the rabbit hole of it. It seemed kind of like a huge pain. I connected to the nearby repeater over here and listened for a while, but I didn't or anything. And I think I might stick away from that for a little bit. But I. I have been playing with Echolink and whatnot as well. My fear. You have a node. You guys copy me now? Over. You're in there. Go ahead. I think it was. Yeah. KJ6 NKR. Jeff South Lake Tahoe. You're full quieting now. The only reason I know for sure is I'm stationary, so no more clutter on my end. But there's probably still some popping. Civic center. All good. Loud. Sound pretty good too. Clint. I actually had to get off that little valve thing. It was overheating and the screen was starting to go out. I basically used that tiny radio just to scan and not transmit. So I got off my tail and got my. My 70d out. You guys wait just a sec. I got some Amazon I got to pull in out of the range. Copy that. I'm gonna be off the radio for a minute here, but I'll try to hop back on. I have to unload, but anyways. Yeah, great here in full to you. Your YA sounds good. And the other station in the city there. Yeah, you're. You're pretty much full quieting. So. Yeah, I'll have to check out the triband radio you're talking about one of these days. I need to get a newer bow thing. I. Yeah, I haven't gotten a new bow thing for a while. But yeah, I definitely have some other Chinese type radios. I, you know, always check out whatever the newer one is that comes out. I think the latest one I got is a Quan Shang or Wan Shang. I don't. I don't know if you pronounce it Hugh. It's the one that you can update the firmware on and load different firmware to the radio for all different kinds of things. Anyways, PJ6 and TR. Pronounced Washon. Washon radio. I haven't seen those for a while either. So that's pretty interesting. Say this a brand new radio you're mucking about with over. Washing. Okay now, definitely not new. I think it's probably. What is it, maybe two years old now. But yeah, I mean they come and go so fast. It's just that particular one. The. What is it the K5 or something? Let me look up the model on it real quick. But it's the one you can upload different firmwares to. It's a pretty cool radio. Let's see. Yeah, I think it's the K5 or K. Q U A N S A T E N G. Anyways, I'm gonna sign off but yeah, that radio, it's one of the few that I know of that you can update the firmware on the radio itself. There might be more radios that you can do that on. Now. Get the opportunity. Look up the Yaesu FT70D. You might want to write that down. Says HT FT70D. That's a pretty good mid range radio. And then I've got the 5D which is a 500ht and it does VMR you want to look at to not EMR, but just a few. Just research that out a little bit. What do you think? K6F you see, I'll let you go if that's what you're. What your head's intending to do. That's KF6FPP on the side. Am6fvp aj6nkr. All right. Yeah, thanks for the. The model on the sd72i. I'll take a look at that because yeah, fusion sounds a little more interesting than dmr. Anyways, I'm signing off. I'll light you one more time. Aj6 nkr clear for now. Roger that. Clarification. We might want to talk again. Kilo fox trot 6 foxtrot uniform for pa kilo rock paper foxtrot 6 fox. On the. Thanks for the correction. On the side and the other station. I think you just kind of fell out of the loop there. How are you today, AJ Alpha Juliet is the handle here. Well, I'm doing well. Just having fun listening in, seeing how my new system here is working on on the Carla network. I'm Kilo Oscar Six Lima Uniform Alpha transmitting from the Civic center in Kansas. So it's nice to actually get to talk on the repeater network here and see how this. Roger. What's. What's going on at the Civic Center. You got. Is there some sort of HAM thing Going on over there or what's the deal? I'm just at home right now. I live up in one of the towers over here and I'm testing out a, a new slim Jim antenna. I'm just kind of dangling out one of my windows up here on the 10th floor. So. Okay, fun, fun. Must be pretty wet weather going on there. I just dropped down to my lowest power on my F FTD 70. So how, how do I sound? You sound fantastic to me. I mean it's, I would say it's full quieting. It's just I, I was surprised earlier. Even when you were on that one watt. I was listening a little bit before I was able to jump in both these statins and are you close to repeater or do you have a. Because you're coming in real nice on that thing. I live in a very bad hotspot even for cell phones. I just think that 70 meter is really prime for distance and you know, for reception and transmission. So in and out. It's pretty strong at 70 meters in this area. Whereas 2 meter wouldn't quite do, do what we needed to do. 70 meters is fine. So that's, I think that's what's going on. Yeah, I'm in a, I'm in a low spot, I'm in a cold spot and I'm surprised. I'm on a rubber duck with my 70D. The A270D pushing the lowest power, which is 2 watts at this point. Same 6ft. That is surprisingly good with a little rubber duck antenna and 2 watts. Yeah, you're coming in. You're coming in great. I'm curious, where, where in the bay or the network are you at? I didn't quite catch that earlier drum on system 19. So I'm in Hayward, California which is between Fremont and San Leandro and San Lorenzo and Castro. So I'm on the East Bay, right on the marshes there before going over to the, going over the water on San Mateo bridge in San Francisco. In San Mateo. So I'm right there on the water. Yeah, very nice. Yeah, it's starting to. It's definitely starting to rain a bit. A bit more over here. How's it over that way? Has it rolled in yet? QXP QXP QXT mayhop transmitter. Temperature approaching critical level. Please consider allowing system to rest. I know this repeater pretty well in this area. We're going to have to shut down for a while. I'll give you a talk to you later. Not trying to be rude, but that's a warning that the system gets too hot down here on the hill. KF6FTP I'll be on the side for a while. Nice chatting with you. Have a great day. You as well. K06 Lua chat later.
